    Went for dinner after a concert and thoroughly enjoyed it. The duck poutine is a fave of ours for a starter. We definitely recommend it. Our party also had rack of lamb, red snapper, and the special Branzino. All delicious! The only minor complaint was the restaurant was a skosh warm, but it was cold outside and there was lots of foot traffic so likely difficult to keep the temperature steady. Otherwise, it everything was perfect!

    The food and service is always the best! I was disappointed that I shared it was my friend’s birthday and they didn’t do anything but we enjoyed ourselves as we do every time we dine with you.

    The food was good, had the snapper, recommend. You must try the scotch egg and the cauliflower gratin. Terrific. Service was excellent, definitely going back.

    Feta apprtizer was excellent. As were fish and chips and steak frites. The La Colombe cold brew expresso however was not La Combe cold brew expresso it was just Illy cold brew. ☹️

    Great menu choices and on our day, the specials exceeded the term. Sea bass hovering over a broth with mussels was excellent. And mushroom soup, with generous slices of several varieties, was A One. Regular entrees and the sandwiches are generous. The salmon BLT is exceptional. And this restaurant knows how to do french fries. Service is great! Present but not intrusive.

    We had a great experience! They were VERY accommodating to our dietary restrictions (the manager even personally came back out to confirm ingredients with us after talking with the chef!). Very great service!

    Love their Irish coffee. I tried the roasted wild mushroom taleggio sandwich with vegetable barley soup and the Simmonet-Febvre - Saint Bris, Burgundy, FR 2021. Tremendously enjoyable!

    The food was just delicious! The ribeye was the best I ever had, and all of the sides were perfectly prepared. The drinks were excellent and the service was outstanding.

    We haven't been to The Gage in about 3 years but went for a pre-Symphony Center Saturday performance brunch. Better than I remembered. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming and professional. Our server Hallie was especially delightful and attentive. I had this Corned Beef Hash. This is definitely not your run-of-the-mill hash. I think it is actually hand crafted if you can imagine such a thing. It is hand shredded and perfectly seasoned. My other had the Croque Madame. It was a real treat. Everything melted in your mouth. Came with a nice fresh salad. Everything was presented beautifully. Ambiance is upscale happy!

    Restaurant was busy! Beef Bourginon was excellent. The cream of mushroom soup was lacking and only comes in a bowl which is quite large and expensive. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

    Although the restaurant was basically empty when we arrived at 5pm, we were seated in a very dark corner where we could barely see each other across the table and had to use cell phone lights to read the menu. Was it because we were from out of town? I was disappointed and there was nothing in the food or otherwise to awe me and dispel the unpleasant feeling. I was also surprised that the introductory bread and butter (or olive oil, something, anything) was not at least offered.

    An absolutely delightful pre-theater brunch! Three of us ordered the croque madame, corned beef hash, pork belly eggs Benedict, & lemon ricotta pancakes for the table. Everything was outstanding. Waiter very good, ambiance is beautiful. I love this place.

    Disappointing visit. We were seated at our table for 15 minutes before we saw our server. Placed appitizer and drink orders at the same time and the food came out first. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to come out. No apology from the server for the long wait for drinks. At that point we asked for our check and paid the bill. We left without ordering anything else.

    Expected lots of people on half price burgundy happy hour! Not many customers. Even so, the water service was great, the food and drink service just Okay. The two “burgundy month” appetizers were Okay, the sliders from the happy hour menu were great.

    We had a quiet office lunch for three. The mussels were delicious, more than I could eat, but really good. The other lunches equally satisfied my lunch mates. The service was confident, unobtrusive, and excellent.

    The Gage is a beautiful restaurant in an excellent location - Right across from Millennium Park. We sat outside in the covered patio and it was nice and warm. We shared the Fork & Knife Wedge salad, which was huge and delicious. We ordered the tartiflette to share, but it was really small for $15. That was really the only disappointment... We also had the Brussel Sprout Tartine, which was tasty. Would definitely return next time I come to Chicago if in the area. Great service and delicious food!
