We recently celebrated my parents’ 50th anniversary at Verandah on Amelia Island, and I can’t say enough about how incredible the experience was. From the moment we walked in, the staff went out of their way to make it truly special. They welcomed us with a champagne toast and had customized menus featuring a personal anniversary message—such a thoughtful touch that meant the world to our family. The attention to detail continued through dessert, where they surprised us with beautiful chocolate plaques honoring the milestone. Every member of the team—from the hostess to the servers—made us feel genuinely celebrated and cared for. As for the food—outstanding! Service was excellent. Phil was our server. Ambiance was lovely . Prices were expensive and noise level was high being that there were many children as the Omni is a family friendly resort. I would have preferred an adult only restaraunt when paying these prices for the experience. It was my birthday and they printed happy birthday with my name on the menu which was a nice touch.

Such a lovely evening and true dining experience!! The food scrumptious in every way, its presentation first-rate! The wine, a new find, made a perfect pairing to the point we bought a 2nd bottle to take home!! Hot crab dip with toasted crostini mouth watering! The focaccia bread for the table with its olive and tomato spreads the perfect complement for the entire dinner. The entrees of scallops and grouper were equally divine and their accompanying vegetables also done to perfection! Their presentations were truly beautiful! All of this topped off with yummy Tiramisu, our complimentary choice of dessert to celebrate our anniversary! The staff, especially our waitperson Walker, were all warm and welcoming from the hostess to those pouring water and clearing the dishes! So well trained to give customers a fine dining experience! The extra touch was our menus had Happy Anniversary to Mr. And Mrs. Smith printed at the top!!! Its setting at the Omni Resort is beyond charming with gorgeous live oaks! We will definitely return when back on the island as this ranks at the very top of the echelon for the best dining we have found anywhere at Amelia! Perfect evening combination of divine food, excellent service and beautiful scenery and ambience! Thank you Verandah for everything!

Staff was pleasant and attentive, waitress was excellent. Food was well prepared, but the grouper and scallops were bland (other than a LOT of butter). I could not detect any crab in the hot crab dip, only butter, cheese, and artichoke. For such prices, you would expect a memorable taste, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. We could hear the two adjoining tables basically complaining about the same thing.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at Verandah and are so glad we did! Robert was wonderful calling to confirm our plans, welcoming us enthusiastically, and checking on us throughout the meal. It was like he was hosting us in his home. We were amazed to see a personalized menu wishing us a Happy Anniversary! Jeff, our waiter, was friendly, engaging and wonderful at explaining each dish. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We appreciate everyone at Verandah making our anniversary special! We highly recommend it to anyone that wants a very special meal!
