Waited over 15 minutes at our table to even have a waiter come check in on us. This was maddening given that we were just sitting there, without even water, watching all the rodizios walking by us. And then they have the gall to auto-grat themselves 20% tip. Will not be going back

As a Brazilian person, I was extremely disappointed with the food quality . Especially the salad bar. The meat was mediocre, and the drinks were way over priced. I think that much more attention needs to be focused on the “cold bar” salad offerings , as well as the cheese bread , and fried banana ( which were obviously frozen pre - made items). Overall was not a great representation of what a churrascaria is about. Poor quality, with many of the staple offerings unavailable or poorly made. I have been to several rodizio restaurants, and this bar far was the biggest waste of money and time .

The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Booking the reservation was very straight forward, not complicated. The table we had overlooked a very nice view of Puget Sound during the sunset hours. Another outstanding visit to this Seattle institution!

We go here for special occasions and always has an amazing experience. The food is to die for with all of the many salads and hot food to the parade of meat. We took a large group and our server was amazing and always attentive even if he was just running past to say he would be right back. All in all we will be back whenever to occasion arises.

I was a bit nervous after reading a few of the reviews because we were going out for my husband's birthday and I wanted to make sure that I chose well. I'm glad we gave it a chance because it was incredibly delicious! The staff, from the moment we entered and even as we were walking out, were friendly, attentive, and did an outstanding job! The food was plentiful and absolutely flavorful! We were never without something being offered. We left absolutely and happily stuffed. My husband had an awesome birthday dinner! We live over an hour away but will definitely come back again when in the area.

Quality of food was very good but we were only allowed in for an hour. We were hoping to spend a bit more time and have a longer lasting, more spread out experience.

Elizabeth, That is simply not true. We don't chase any out. The typical 2 top is usually around 1 &1/2 hrs. Possibly the server wanted to close his ticket out? We still had reservations come in after 8:30 so there was no rush.

We typically only frequent the Grill from Ipanema for special occasions as it's on the pricier side, but for the view and quality of the food, it's worth it. We loved our waiter, Rene. He was so on top of it and attentive!

Incredibly expensive! 5 in our party, 1 bottle of $70 wine, no dessert, 2 cocktails, bill was $550! The automatic 20% service charge is a joke. Hostess and waiter seemed annoyed we were there, no incentive to provide premium service. Meat server was rushing us, it felt like they needed to hurry through the selections and be done. Note, we did ask for seconds and they brought out our favorite cuts. Wine list, vintages are not correct. Ordered the 2014 Catena, served 2018. I asked why and waiter answered that yes its a printing error but it's the same price regardless. 4th time celebrating there, doubt we will be back

The food was amazing and the few meat requests we made to the gauchos were met very quickly. One even heard us talking about the pineapple and promptly brought another skewer over. The server was very nice. We had to ask for a couple of our drink orders, but we were a 10 top so it's understandable that he forgot some stuff. Overall it was a great experience and I will 100% go again.

This Seattle institution has been a favorite of mine for years. The food is always super tasty! And it’s the only Brazilian steakhouse that has an offering of roasted pineapple, and it’s always that is super tasty as well! I highly recommend that you come hungry and come early because Parking can be quite a bear. Be sure to book your reservation accordingly and make a point to take a trip to the downtown Seattle neighborhood of Belltown for a sumptuous meal!

If well done shoe leather is the cut you like, this is the place for you. Nothing came out that was not grey and dry. I take that back, the shrimp tasted of sterno. Would rate 0 out of 5. Manager came by, was very defensive and wanted to know why we did not say something about the food. I am sorry, was not aware you are blind and unable to smell as the scent of burned meat. The view of char on every slice of meat was kind of hard for the rest of us to miss. Nothing like spending $200 for inedible burnt crap. We in the south have burnt ends, apparently in Seattle, you have burnt brogans that you pass off as ribeye. His staff was great, however do not hold out for a particular cut of meat because Vulcan, the "grillmaster" will serve no meat prior to it passing his post mortem. Seriously though, he will not allow the staff to select what is being requested. Instead he is pushing the crappy burnt stuff because why should he have to eat his incompetence when he can make you do so. If you like medium rare, you will not find it here. The salad bar is good, but not $65 per person good. So skip the meat or go somewhere else. Oh, and by the way, if you wanted the grilled pineapple, you are SOL because the former firefighter who claims to be a grillmaster does not make it despite what the menu saying they do.. And southerners, your Tea with simple syrup costs $9. That was not a typo. Just stick to water or near water, AKA the beer they sell. Again, recommendation, anywhere but here. And that includes dumpster diving. This was crap, pure and simple worst food we had in a week in Seattle. For the price, go to Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris, Fogo De Choa or any name brand. Because this will leave you sad, bitter, and with indegestion.

We had a great time here for our graduation party. It's so fun to sit down and immediately go peruse the Brazilian buffet and have the meat sliced tableside. Beautiful view and the caipirinhas are authentically delicious. We will be back!

Great option near Marriott Waterfront, I have been to better Brazilian steakhouses but it was good. Would skip any meats wrapped in bacon, lamb and filet excellent. Great cucumber salad, nice service and walked right in. Enjoyed it, just not five stars.

I used to love dining at Grill From Ipanema. We have visited many times over the years. Over the last two or three years, we have notified a distinct decline in quality of our experience. We visited at 6:15pm for Father’s Day dinner. The restaurant was busy, lively, and we were excited for what we anticipated would be a satisfying dining experience. While the meats we were served were tasty and well-prepared, service was so slow that it was a poor value for money. We didn’t get our first meat offered to us until we had been seated for more than half an hour (we turned our green disc over immediately upon sitting). Throughout the evening, we were offered most meats only once (ribeye, lamb roast, filet, parm pork, bacon-wrapped turkey, house special sirloin, pepper steak). The restaurant was full of people, but there were very few gauchos passing meat - as a result, we saw very little meat during our visit. And the side dishes (bread, polenta, plantains) were not delivered to our table until more than an hour after our arrival, and only then because we asked for them. We will not return here until we see reviews indicating they have resolved their slow service problems. We mentioned our dissatisfaction to our server who promised to send the manager over but the manager never came to check on us. There are other local options for a churrascaria experience - I suggest you check them out until GFI gets its act together.

Our server had to be prompted to take drink order, and did not know the menu and asked us to show it to her on menu. Once drink was ordered, it took almost 25 minutes to receive drink (which was bourbon no ice). The hostess was leaned back in her chair on phone, which is very unprofessional. The food was great as usual, and the folks serving the food were very professional and pleasant. Overall, not happy with the experience. Will not be returning.
