Food was subpar and expensive, I had ribs and grits. The grits were not good at all, French toast was delicious! my drink was also delicious. Very nice fine dining brunch in the very fancy river oaks. Free garage parking, or $10 valet. Probably won’t go back

Food was good but a little bit too salty. Waitress was very attentive and ambience was also good. However restaurant doesn’t split checks and charges for splitting a plate, $2 for large ice cube for scotch, and also charges for paying with credit card.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this restaurant was terrible. Our server brought our food out and failed to mention that the kabob would burn your hand. Literally had to ask for ice. The food was not good and neither was the service. We had to ask the hostess to bring us our check and we never saw our server after the food was brought out to us. I could go on and on but I really don’t want to spend anymore of time time on this.

This my third time here and as usual I love the food. It was the first time here on Saturday night. The music was a bit louder than I would have liked but I think it was mostly my fault for choosing the high tables and not the standard seating. I would say that it was my first time looking at the bill and I was a bit upset to see they had a 20% gratuity instantly applied to the tab and also suggesting for tip at the bottom. What is the gratuity? If it was a big party, then I would understand but it was a table for two. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the food and the ambience as usual.

Had a amazing birthday celebration! Food and server were absolutely amazing. Really didn’t care for the drinks but really to go to Happy Hour to see they change my mind. Overall, I would definitely recommend to my friends.

Love the food and service as that was our first time there. Would definitely go again. Only drawback was that it was very loud in there with music blasting. Felt kinda club like which I could do without. But overall the food and service was great.

Overall, we had a great experience. I was originally disappointed at the start of our visit because we were told that in order to sit our party of 8 together, we had to have a minimum spend of $55 per person. This was not explained to us when we originally made the reservation. We ended up with a spend of over $600, but it was disappointing that "each" individual person was required to spend $55. The manager exempted this rule as we had several in our party that had already had breakfast prior to church and this brunch and we appreciate his hospitality but the original insistence of a > $55 spend seemed a bit petty and rude. I would suggest you welcome ALL guests and perhaps reserve this for a max of 20+ guests.

We have been to Bisou several times and with the large variety of great restaurants in Houston, that’s saying a lot. However, after this trip I’m not sure we will be back or maybe we will think a little harder about it. The food, service and ambiance were all amazing. Where the restaurant fell short was when we received the bill. We were charged a 20% tip for a table of 2! And the tip suggestions at the bottom of the receipt (you know what I’m talking about) were circles with a heart. Typically I’m a 20% or more tipper based on the service but the tip was already added for me so I stopped there. Secondly, the restaurant now charges a 4% credit card fee on top of adding tip to your bill without your consent for 2 people. So now they are making money off the credit card fee because I’ve never heard of a processing fee greater than 3%. We will be looking elsewhere for our next celebratory dinner. This was our 10 yr anniversary dinner.

The service was lacking attention, the noise was overwhelming, and the bill for 2x persons included tip and in addition also a line for additional tip. Since this is extremely unusual and deceiving I ended tipping on top the tip that was already included in the original invoice. Being very dark I did not discover this until the next day. My communication attempts with the restaurant left unanswered.

Food was wonderful. Didn’t like the fact I was charged for a tip of $31 for a waitress who is very on attentive. Several times the bus boy had to get the things that we asked for because she was nowhere to be found. Then to be charge 4% extra just for using a credit card.

Automatic 20% tip on every bill and 4% for credit card use is RIDICULOUS! Let the patron decide on the tip and raise your prices don’t penalize for credit card use, especially when the credit card companies only charge less than 2%. Embarassing end to the meal. You can do better. Food was very enjoyable and service was good. Houston Restaurant Weeks menu was very good. A bit too noisy. Ditch the pipes in music and the noodles level would fall to right level.

Overall it was an ok place to go for before dinner drinks and possibly appetizers. I was hoping it would feel a little more upscale and have more of an ambience. It wasn’t what I was expecting. The food is not terrible and I enjoyed the wine. Worth going to have a cocktail and social engagement.
