B Too is a great metropolitan restaurant where Chef and owner Bart Vandaele showcases contemporary healthy farm to table food. He mixes his love for American food with his Belgian/French heritage. A recipe for a surprising experience.
He created a exceptional wine cellar with a wide selection of European and American wines. Featuring over 80 Belgian beers of the best Belgian brewers at both bars.

Chef Bart Vandaele and Fabian welcomed us to this fantastic restaurant like family, and made our group instantly feel welcome and included. The chef heard we had missed a trip to Belgium due to COVID19, and the staff did all they could to make us feel like we had made it to Brugge, or at least to Brussels. The Cheese croquettes are pillows of a heavenly combination of cheeses, and the moules (mussels) have been justifiably praised as the best in DC. To round out the experience, Chef's own bit of what happens when you leave a Belgian in America too long is a Brussels waffle infused with apple and fried (yes, a fried Belgian Waffle) with some equally satisfying Speculoos ice cream. (Speculoos is that flavor you crave from Biscoff cookies - also a Belgian specialty). Saunter in and sit at the bar, or take a table and prepare to stay for a bit- every bite is worth the visit.

This was a disappointing breakfast. My liège waffle was dry and crumbly, but the whipped cream that came with it tasted good. There were several fruit flies that wouldn’t leave us alone. Overall it was an expensive, mediocre start to my visit to DC, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Awful. Do not eat here. They took over 10 minutes after they sat us to come over and ask what we wanted to drink. I ordered a $17 salmon eggs Benedict that was tiny, greasy, so overpriced, and frankly not even good. Don’t waste your time here. Oh I also saw a manager eating bacon with his hands right off the plates of food waiting to be served to guests. Even their famous “doffle” is bad. It’s a doughnut waffle, but you’re better off going to Krispy Kreme and getting a donut for $1 than paying for this place. Would literally never go back here

B Too is my go-to restaurant for brunch. The fare isn't the usual benedicts and pancakes. The eggs prepared in the Bokkal is one of my favorite dishes on their menu. My companion has some dietary restrictions, and the kitchen was gracious about making the changes to her mushroom toast to make it within her requirements.

Very disappointed food was ok, service mediocre. I asked for milk alternative for coffee server never followed up so i drank it black. On my way to the rest room i saw a large container Of almond milk on the station in the back. Two of us ordered the sane dishes and they had different items. Server did not come back until we were completely done. Had to ask for drinks from the runner or other staff passing by.... unfortunately I don’t think I will return.

Service was confusing at best. This is not a reflection on the servers attitudes as they were kind but attentiveness. Once our drinks and dinner were served, we did not get checked up on until after our dinner plates were removed. We did order dessert since it was a celebration for us, but took it home instead.

Excellent food. It was a very busy day so I almost want to give them some leeway, but the service was bad. We were a group of five. Had to remind the waitress several times for drinks we ordered, one of our dishes almost never came out. Lots of avoided eye contact. I basically had to wave my hands and call people over to refill our water glasses, take our orders, etc. I won't hold this against them but note they don't have good gluten-free options.

Great brunch spot, delicious duck confit sandwich...I’m talking one of the best shredded duck and bread that’s crispy yet becomes softer from the runny egg combinations I’ve had. But the biggest reason I’m writing the review is for Renada? the lovely hostess. She made us feel very welcome and like family with our stroller. She Coo’d at our baby when waiting for our table to be set up, stowed our stroller, went back and grabbed our car seat, and got our drinks when the server was backed up and busy. She really Made the experience extra special, and I am writing this review 60% because of her, 40% because of that delicious sandwich.

First time here for brunch. I had the mushroom toast with poached egg. It was delicious. The Frenchie Toast waffle Suzzete was only so so. It was a little dry and didn't have enough toppings or sauce for me. Next time, I'll try another type. The service was lackluster. The waitress took too long to come to our table after first seating and brought me milk for coffee when I clearly asked for cream. I asked for extra Grand Marnier sauce and never got it. The place is small, but doesn't fill cramped. Overall, I would say the food was good and worth going back for that reason.

Booked a table for 3, but one of my friends did not show up. Apparently that was enough to ask us to transfer to a smaller table. We thought it was very rude to be asked to transfer when one of us already had a meal in progress. Yes, a table for 4 is big for 2 and does not maximize restaurant profits. But we booked ahead, had unforseen cancellation, and had a meal already in progress. It was poor taste. I bring friends to this place all the time, but hey there are other belgian restaurants in the area who deserve our business better and would not give their customers such bs.

Our waitress was not very helpful. We were the first ones arriving for lunch, the place was empty, and she told me she couldn't get me waffles because those were made only for breakfast. I asked to please check with the chef because the only reason I went there was because I wanted waffles for my birthday and she responded NO because the breakfast ingredients were not the same as the lunch, whatever that meant. I stood up and asked the chef about the waffles and we was very polite and nice and without me asking he offered to make them for me. A simple favor to make the client happy doesn't hurt anyone! THANK YOU CHEF!
