Vernick Fish presents Philadelphia’s own, Chef Greg Vernick’s exploration beyond the boundaries of a seafood restaurant. His ingredient-driven cooking style, paired with a love for global flavors, results in an inventive menu of fish and shellfish dishes, and a range of vegetable preparations.     We had a great meal and the service was good. Unfortunately the final tab was considerably high I dine out frequently and feel Vernick is charging for name recognition. As mentioned the meal was great although the plates were small. I will avoid dining at any Vernick restaurants going forward as I feel you can get a similar dining experience for a more reasonable price.

    The food was amazing. Every last thing we ordered was phenomenal. We ordered the ribeye steak medium rare. Chargrilled oysters, sea bass, fried rice, and cocktails. The service was just ok. I will definitely be revisiting.

    The food at Vernick Fish did not disappoint. We had the swordfish and the halibut, plus the shrimp salad and lovely deserts--the olive oil cake and the chocolate dessert. All great and made with care, and with good flavors. Also, the rye bread is first class. The wine list has good, fairly priced choices, including some nice half-bottles. However, while the overall service was fine, our server was not very professional or engaged, and the room is too open and too minimalist. While we appreciated the nice spacing between table, the room does not provide much luxury or "specialness" for a restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel. We'll come back, but we'll eat at the bar in the future.
