Clam chowder was watery and lacked flavor. Tasted like it was cooked with milk and not cream. Calamari was not crispy and on the soggy/greasy side. The waiter was very good and very patient with us.

Had dinner here before a Sunday show and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We started with a cup of chowder—and I can see why it’s award-winning. I ordered the pulled pork special, which was very tasty, and the fries were perfectly crisp on the outside. Finished with a rich chocolate cake for dessert. Our waiter was attentive but seemed a bit overwhelmed—perhaps they were short-staffed that evening. Noticed quite a few Irish tourists enjoying the weekend, which added some lively energy to the place. Overall, great food—I’d definitely eat here again.

Pretty limited menu. The bangers and mash was nice. Kind of pricey for what it was. Noise level high medium

Our server was excellent. He adjusted our orders to our preferences and diet requirements. Area was a bit noisy due to a nearby party. Food was good but I felt that the serving size of the chicken pot pie was very small. Other than that we had a nice meal.

1st reservation was not good experience. Sat right next to bar and kitchen entrance. Talking by bar tender and servers. Way too loud. Also I had gotten there around 11:15 and grumpy hostess/manager would not let me to wait until 11:30. So unfriendly and could care less about her paying customer! 2nd day- great service from nice young man and friendly host!

I was disappointed that you don't have table service away from bar. The noise level there was so uncomfortable. Couldn't have a conversation with my family.

Our first time here and it was somewhat disappointing. The service was great. The atmosphere was good. The French onion soup was very good as well as the cabbage eggrolls. Unfortunately, the corned beef sandwich (Ruben) was the worst I ever had. Nothing in it, and the bread was dried like it came out of a toaster. When they explain this to the waitress, she apologize, but that was it.. With so many great restaurants in the city of Boston, we will not be returning here ever again .
