We enjoyed a very nice meal at Third Coast. The prices were quite reasonable for most items and we enjoyed their ribeye, lamb chops and mahi-mahi. It was a quiet weekday night, but the restaurant was lovely.
Outstanding wait staff, very attentive. The tomato basil soup was some of the best I’ve ever had.
Also, the freshness of the bathroom was most impressive.
The special room was gorgeous as is the whole newly remodeled Restuarant! As soon as I got there the nite manager Jeronimo??? He was so nice and informative and he gave me a tour of the other special rooms of his restaurant. Next he introduced me to our waiter; Arturo, who asked me many questions about the check and the cake and our decorations that we brought! The room ambiance was so nice with our candle centerpiece as well as with the gorgeous cake we purchased! So pretty and delish. Arturo was a wonderful and thoughtful waiter and made our special gust of honor feel so good. We will def go back especially for drinks out on the balcony!
Candlerio was out wait person and was attentive and helpful.
If you go here order the calamari -it’s fresh always.
The entire experience is delightful
This was our first visit since the restaurant changed hands. The ambiance is a bit more austere with plastic placemats replacing the white tablecloths. Food was excellent. Service was very good. Wine prices seemed reasonable. Parking is not nearly as good as it was before (basement vs top floor close to restaurant) and the exit system is confusing with a validation that didn't work. Still, this is a good choice for a restaurant in the medical center vicinity.
Excellent dining in pristine quietness.
Food is plated beautifully and the food taste amazing. What
I have used ThIIIrd coast consistently for business meetings in the TMC. I would say that 90% of the time they get it right but during my last visit both me and my guest had to send our salmon back for being under cooked. Not sure if the chef was having a bad day but hope this is not an indication of things to come as I live everything about this place.
The menu had a healthy variety of dishes. The presentation of all aspects of the meal was impeccable and the service was outstanding. It has been a long time since a waiter placed a chair under us as we were seated and also put a napkin on our laps. This is a great venue to impress clients, family or friends.
Excellent meal. Beautiful views & restaurant. May I suggest street sign @ Bertner & Holcombe , along with a different sign as you approach the garage?
We went for a business lunch with colleagues in Third Coast and loved everything about it. Great location in the heart of the medical center, easy parking which is a big deal in this area, free parking for the restaurant guests, excellent menu, great selection of food and flexibility in adjusting dish parameters. The food presentation was great. It was quiet, so we could talk and easily hear each other. To improve, the only recommendation I have would be to have the fire place on. It was working the last time I enjoyed coming to this restaurant, but not this time. Overall, everyone in our group thought that the restaurant choice for our business lunch was perfect.
The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Great selection of wines, cocktails were creative and delicious. Hidden gem, we will certainly return soon!
I was really impressed with the entire experience. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They took the time to take several pictures of our group. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I plan to return. Thanks for a great evening!
I had the watercress salad with pears with the add on grilled shrimp. Best salad I have EVER eaten. I’ll be back.
Beautiful restaurant. Great food!
Been there twice, after the first time I had to take my friends! Great place and atmosphere.
We've now had Saturday night dinner here several times and we love it for the low noise level and small crowds on Saturday. Makes for a very pleasant evening where you can enjoy a cocktail, great food and conversation.
i love the ambiance at third coast especially after the redo. food was very good, service was exceptional. good menu selection. i didn’t get a chance to have a drink but will do that next time!
I picked this restaurant as one to try for Houston Restaurant Weeks. This was my first-ever experience at Third Coast, and I can say it will not be my last. The food was wonderful, and the service is incredible. From the moment I stepped inside, the hostess got me a table overlooking the waterfall by the side of the restaurant, giving me a gorgeous view of the Medical Center. The wait staff was wonderful, and as I said earlier, the food was delicious. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, and they had a piano player providing some nice calming music to enjoy with your meal. I can see why this is a popular place for doctors and hospital executives, but I can see it being a great place for dates, anniversaries, birthdays, and even happy hour. So if you're ever in the Medical Center looking for a nice fine dining restaurant with affordable prices, drop on by to Third Coast. You won't be disappointed.
We both ordered steak...a filet and ribeye. They were okay, but didn’t have much flavor. For the price we paid, we expected flavor. The mashed kennebecs and the farmer salad were very good.
It did seem odd that there wasn’t any background music.
From when we arrive everyone was so kind and amazing. The Atmosphere was great and ambience was perfect!
It was our 1st time to the restaurant and when we are back in town we will make sure to visit again.
Parking was convenient and free if less than 4 hours. Menu was very interesting and very well prepared. I had the scallops over mushroom grits and they were excellent.
Third Coast consistently excels in service, atmosphere, convenience, and value. The staff goes the extra mile, and the food is superb.
Arturo, our waitperson, was professional and listened to our concerns
Third Coast is a little difficult to find, hidden in a building in the Medical Center, but well worth the effort to get there. The food is fantastic, the service was outstanding and it's quiet. Not too quiet, but lovely for conversation with your dinner companions. Ask to be seated at a table with the wing back chairs and you'll never want to leave. Ask for Candelario, best waiter ever!
What a lovely restaurant, the parking was not a problem at all. The waiter we had was knowledgeable friendly service overall was great. The food was wonderful the view is great and overall wonderful experience!
Initially it seemed a bit out of the way for a lunch. Once I placed the reservation, it was pretty simple and the service was prompt and amazing. The food was certainly to brag about. Compliments to the chef staff on 4 different plates and 2 desserts. I would recommend this fine restaurant to anyone who has an appetite for good food and good scenery.
This was my first time coming to Third Coast, and I came with my boss and a coworker to celebrate our birthdays. We made our reservation on OpenTable about 30 minutes before arriving, and were seated right away. The ambiance of the restaurant was so nice, light, and open, and they had several good vegetarian options. Third Coast is a nice restaurant for special occasions (or, if you make more money than I do), but a little expensive - I had the miso tofu salad bowl, and it was delicious, but cost $16 when it could have easily cost half that at a less fancy restaurant. The expense aside, I enjoyed my experience at Third Coast and will return in the future.
Excellent food & service. We hope to go there again when we visit Houston
I requested a table next to windows so that guests can enjoy the view. I reserved on Monday for Wednesday lunch. But, our table was far from the window.
Pasta sauce was too salty. However, chicken was tender and great.
I did not know that you have a balcony. It was nice to take a picture of all of us.
I love to work with Mary. She is awesome! Very efficient.
A quiet place to a fine dinner and conversation with friends on a Saturday night.
Our waiter was candeluiro - he was very attentive and super knowledgeable.
The grouper, reddish and salmon were all fresh and delectable. Special call out for the calamari and Brussel sprouts.
Thanks for making our mother in laws 80 th bday so special / she liked the piano and the ability to converse.
First rate, top notch
We were concerned about a restaurant in a medical building and were surprised to find a nice dinning spot. The inside is very nice with muted colors, soft seating and table cloths. Our server was excellent and the manager stopped by to say hello. The menu is small but interesting. We started with martinis and fried green tomatoes. They were excellent! I had smoked oysters with a side of mashed potatoes. The oysters had to much Anise on them and the potatoes were ice cold. My husband had steak tartare with a side of fries. The tartare was ground very fine and the fries were just fries. I wouldn't mind trying them once more and having a fresh fish dish. I'd say give it a try and would encourage the restaurant to focus more on simple flavors.
Outstanding service, delicious food, beautiful plating, and wonderful atmosphere
The tortilla soup was excellent with a great presentation, but the bowl of their soup spoons are so deep that it was actually awkward to eat my soup.
After you figure out the access this place is pretty nice. I am thinking that if we lived closer we might frequent the restaurant as the food was on a par with other Houston area chef driven casual/fine dining establishments and the ease of the reservation was a plus. I expect lunch is their draw for larger crowds. We were told that private functions are also a big part of their revenue stream and in fact the night we were there they hosted 200 people from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The self parking garage access was easy in and out (and truly complimentary with validation from the restaurant) but you need to pay careful attention as directional signage is minimal. Small plates were a hit with my party of three enjoying five of them and one entree as well as killer desert. I liked the place and the food--just seemed to be an odd location for such a venue. Wine list is not what I prefer as there were no old world wines but certainly a nice quality selection of domestics---I guess the server's rationale was acceptable: "this is an American restaurant so we wanted to do American wines". You can be the judge of that explanation.
Great ambiance and delicious food. The red snapper was outstanding and excellent wait staff
