   they missed the mark last night, it was my 20th Anniversary Dinner (and i did let them know on Open Table) and we did not even get a Happy Anniversary out of a Single Employee. the Food was Fair. our Chateaubriand was just Ok , a little under cooked for my Wife but it was not Butter Tender! not saying it was tough , but of the last three times my Wife and i have ordered a Chateaubriand this was of the lowest Quality. side Dishes were again just fine and way over priced! $18 for the Potato dish and $16.00 for a really small serving of Spicy Broccoli. and the Service was clueless. asked for Butter never came. pouring Bottled Water into extra Glasses on the Table. (my Wife had to say please stop) and the Music was not really appropriate for a $120.00 a head Plus Steakhouse. $280.00 Dinner (no Wine or Cocktails) and just not paying attention to the little things. i have Celebrated Birthdays and Anniversaries at other Prime Steakhouses in the Boston area and have always been treated much better, given a Card , Complimentary Glasses of Champagne or at the very least a Dessert . last night nothing .

   Wonderful experience. Server was very knowledgeable of menu and helped us select very tasty options. Food was delicious, well seasoned and hot on arrival to table.

   We chose to dine here for my husbands 30th birthday as it was Dine Out week and we have never been to a steakhouse before. The reviews were great so we decided to try it. The food was good and the location was actually nice but the problem was the service. Unfortunately after our mains were cleared we waited for 30 almost 40 minutes before having to find a staff member to serve us our dessert. There was no apology for the wait and it would have been fine if that was given. The restaurant had only two other tables, who were being served appropriately and the staff was cleaning up. Overall we spent two hours here and ended up taking dessert to go. It was our first and last time and were extremely disappointed.

   I was very disappointed in the service. Our waiter, Alex, was excellent. But the bus person was not. She kept coming to take our plates, while we were still eating. And then when we asked to take home the food, she threw out the steak bone, which still had meat on it! At $135., we were not pleased. The manager, Johnny was great, and took a lot of the food off of our bill. The dessert was an overly dry chocolate cake, and the cappuccinos were served in cups that were big, and they were filled less than half full….a very small cup of cappuccino. The parking is impossible, and in total, it was not a very good experience for our birthday celebration.

   Honestly, I never complain but this was my friend’s birthday dinner after a rough year. I chose Boston Chop because it is consistently good and good service. It was anything but that last night. Our waitress was nice but she clearly was told to turn our table fast. We sat down at 6pm and the restaurant was empty. It was St Patrick’s Day but there were empty tables when we left. It isn’t unreasonable to take 3 hours for a dinner at this type of restaurant. The waitress rushed us from the moment we sat. Our experience ended with a rude women coming out from the back with my friends dessert with a candle in it and throwing it down (in front of the wrong person) and walking away as fast as she showed up. It was the rudest experience I have ever encountered at a restaurant. And it really ruined the night. And since I made the reservation, I left feeling terrible and angry we spent so much to be treated so poorly. I hope this gets to the right person. I won’t be back sadly.

    I always enjoy coming here for brunch but I haven’t had dinner in a while. I met a friend there for Boston Dining week. The menu advertised was different from the menu we received. There was only choice of several steaks as main course. The menu on line included fish, pasta, chicken and a steak option. I don’t like steak but had to order. The salad and i oyster for appetizers were good. I didn’t eat my steak. The bartender gave us the check before we were offered our dessert which was part of our dinner. He had forgotten. All and all not a positive experience

    Everything was top-notch. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was delicious. Restaurant was very crowded and some big parties donut was noisy, but not so noisy that you couldn’t carry on a conversation.

    Service was exceptionl, attentive and timed perfectly. Food was likewise outstanding. NY strip great flavor and prepared as ordered. Sides were way too pricy given the size but brussel sprouts were very tasty.

    As usually the food was outstanding. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the popovers were a delicious treat. The hostess greeted me at the door with a smile and a welcome. The bartender was friendly and efficient while waiting for our other guests to arrive. The food runners and bussers were friendly and efficient. The server… well that is another story. She made us feel rushed to order but then it took, at one point 20 minutes, to deliver our drink order, which we saw just sitting at the bar, and she got it wrong, twice. She hovered over the table until we finally gave in and ordered, even though some in our party of 11 were not ready. When one member of my party said “excuse me can I have some salt” she held up her finger and said very loudly (like a parent disciplining to a child) “in a minute!” As some were still eating she placed the bill on the table and then hovered over us waiting for us to pay. We still had drinks on the table and were enjoying each others conversation. The kicker though was when our 5 couples and 1 single friend tried to pay. Each couple place one card on the table and our single friend put his card on the table. She then scolded us and said that the restaurant takes a maximum of five cards per table, this is not noted anywhere on the menu or website. As she walked away she rolled her eyes at us and when one member of our party mentioned it to me she looked over at our table and glared at us. The restaurant was sadly, practically empty on Sunday afternoon. Normally the servers at Boston Chops are super friendly and chill. On Sunday at brunch our server was anything but.

    Seating sucks. Didn’t realize high top tables meant banquet style seating. You’re pretty much shoulder to shoulder with the patrons next to you. Music is to loud to have a conversation. Food was lackluster; Apps: The popovers were the stand out of the night, very good! Caesar salad was a Caesar salad, nothing to write home about. Sides: The onion rings were lacking salt and greasy. The pork belly Mac and cheese is under seasoned. Cooked well and good consistency, but not much flavor. Entrees: Steak frites (Wagyu Bavette) lacked salt and tasted like more of a choice grade steak. The fries were very good though. Overall very underwhelming experience. Had high hopes due to others reviews. I’ll stick to Abe and Louie’s in the future.

    over and over, we get what we came to expect. such a reliable service and quality. This all assumes you like steak frites, like we do. 2nd round of fries, plenty of delicious arugula... I was about to forget the oysters and perfectly stirred and served gin martini!

    The food was great and that met my expectations very well. I am 18 years old and wanted to treat my girlfriend of 2 years to a nice dinner. I felt as though the waiter did not treat us the same as the other guests around us because of our age. The two tables beside us got great outside conversation other than the restaurant and the food but at our table he was just there to do his job, take our order and that was all. I also feel as though the food itself isn’t great for its value. My girlfriend had the roasted filet steak frites and the whole plate was taken up by the arugula salad. I didn’t really see the $52 value in the meal. Overall it was good, not great or amazing as a whole experience.

    We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had an absolutely wonderful time! The food was delicious and well cooked. Brittney provided some of the greatest service I have experienced in a long time. Very attentive, extremely polite, and friendly. The ambiance was energetic and good with lively music playing in the background. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

    Good is always excellent, service is always top notch. Good atmosphere … not quiet but can hear fine talking at the table with upbeat background music. We went for a nice valentines dinner.

    Our Valentine’s dinner at Boston Chops was excellent! The food and drinks were delicious, and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The ambiance was very nice also, with our only complaint being that we were very close to other tables so privacy was limited.

    Popovers are not free anymore, charged for water even we asked for tap water. Kitchen appreciation fee too? Owner can’t afford to pay their employees anymore? Service was good though.
