    One of our favorite restaurants. DonJito does not disappoint. Although we had a reservation we did have to wait a bit for our table but we were in no hurry and Bruno (bartender) is always friendly and attentive and there are always friendly people at the bar. The restaurant was very busy (which is a good thing!) Our waiter was great, helpful but seemed a bit stretched (we had to wait for a while for drinks and water). Perhaps could have used some more staff. Menu has been updated and is very interesting (Latin inspired sushi was delicious). Food is always wonderful, plentiful and beautifully presented. Love this restaurant and highly recommend.

    Not much ambience and the floor plan isn't great, however, the food is excellent and the servers were courteous and accommodating.

    We had to ask for the restaurant week menu. We had to order all courses at once. They came extremely fast. We were definitely rushed. Waiter then suggested we give a cash tip. Probably won’t go back. Disappointed. It took one hour and 15 min to have a drink and all courses. They didn’t ask if we wanted coffee or tea with dessert.

    We went to celebrate my sister’s birthday and had a fantastic time. The food, the vibe, and the staff were amazing. The cocktails were unique and delicious. My Ropa Vieja melted in my month. I strongly encourage you to check it out! We will definitely be going back again!

    The food was absolutely AMAZING and DELICIOUS!! Great and attentive service. I went for my bday and I was not disappointed in any way. They served a big enough portion for me to be satisfied and even take some home; it was just as good reheated! I'd recommend to everyone and I'd definitely go again!

    DonJito has a cool vibe and enjoyable music playing during lunch. Augusto was an excellent server - attentive, friendly and polite. Diego welcomed us warmly and checked in on us throughout our time there. Both of them invited me and my daughter to see the back patio, which has both covered and uncovered seating as well as lovely floral arrangements. The food was fantastic, especially the sweet corn with chorizo appetizer. The calamari was fresh, crisp and came with a tasty dipping sauce. The portion size was generous. We enjoyed the empanadas as well. And the white sangria was delicious! We highly recommend DonJito and we plan to return soon for a full dinner!

    The owners and staff were extremely friendly, and the food was very good. We were excited to come back after it had closed, and we’re very surprised and satisfied with our time there. Will definitely be going back.

    Really enjoyed sitting outside in the beautiful area they set up. Very delightful. The service was incredibly attentive. The food was excellent. The presentation of everything I saw coming out if their kitchen was really beautiful. To my surprise the sushi roll we split as an appetizer was delicious. Try it you will enjoy yourself

    We were not notified when making a reservation that the menu would be prix fixe and completely different than the usual menu. That said, we rolled with it. However, the steak was tough, the churros were flavorless, nothing seemed fresh. Very disappointing, especially at $50 per person

    When arrived we were given the menu and we decided our meals after 20 minutes of waiting then waitress brought out price fixed menu of 50.00 per person Service was confused. The waiter bringing food didn’t know which meal for which table. Even at the end to wait for dessert was long. I’m sure the restaurant is better when it’s not a holiday. I wouldn’t go again on a holiday.

    We went for Mother’s Day, and they had a special menu for the day with a fixed price of $50 per person ($20 for kids). We do not eat pork or shellfish, so the options were extremely limited, when I asked if a dish could be served without shrimp I was rudely told it would be the same price before telling me if it was an option or not. The waitress then explained the shrimp was the main part of the dish so we ordered something else. The food was well prepared and tasted great, but for the price we expected more.

    This place has a lot of potential but the food and the service needs work. We sat at 6pm and left a little after 9. Granted we were a party of 12. But to wait almost 30min at a time for each course and drinks is not good. The food looked great but didn't taste great. One in our party order paella which came with a whole lobster on top that was dry and over cooked another ordered the red snapper paella which was also over done. I had the lomo saltado and it was just ok. The bistec encebollado had good reviews for those who ordered it. The manager was accommodating,I will say, he comped our dessert and some drinks after we'd complained on how long the dessert was taking. I would go back for drinks and appetizers, those were the ones we really enjoyed.

    we come to Donn Hito for all our girlfriends birthday celebrations in the past the drinks have been outstanding. That is one of the reasons why we go for drinks were horrible. I don’t think you had a bartender on that night. The service was a little slow as we know that you were short staffed especially for the outside, but the food and presentation was excellent. The price is a little high, but the drinks were awful. I hope you get a new bartender.

    My husband and I enjoyed our time at DonJito, and the food is soooooo good. The only issue was the wait due to very large parties, but our server was very nice. It was worth it!

    We were scheduled to see a show nearby and had looked forward to an authentic Mexican food meal. Unfortunately beginning with the pre-made and not fresh guacamole, leading to the so so pork enchiladas (which were more similar to soft tacos) and the steak Mofongo, both sadly lacked flavor. Not to mention the enchiladas were served on a ridiculously small/narrow plate making it difficult to keep the food from falling onto the table. But thankfully the cocktails were good. There’s slim pickings in that immediate area so it’s an option, but we won’t be going back.

    We have dined here before and the food/service are typically good. Last night, our waitress/hostess did not provide the minimum level of service I would expect. Two out of the three of us were satisfied/happy with their meals. I, on the other hand, found that none of the requests I made to the waitress were honored in the kitchen. Thus, when I ordered my salad with no dressing, it came with dressing and had to be sent back. I told the waitress I cannot eat garlic and asked that she substitute another starch for the garlic mashed potatoes, which she did. However, the roasted vegetables that my fish sat upon were extremely garlicky with chunks of garlic throughout which she never thought to let me know. Also, the fish came without the sauce. The fish itself was fishy tasting. The vegetables were replaced with slightly cooked ones swimming large pool of oil that I did not eat. At no point in either course did the waitress come by to see if the replacements were okay or to apologize for the lack of communication between herself and the kitchen. She also never smiled once during the entire ordering process. I try to cut people some slack as you never know what is going on in their lives, but honestly, she did not make me feel welcome and did not do a good job seeing that my food was correct. I should have sent the entree back as we ended up paying $33 for a mostly uneaten meal, but the others had already finished eating by that time. Wish I had spoken to the manager. I will still go back again and order a different selection and hope for a different waitress.

    The waiter was beyond sweet and we never had to look for her which truly means a a lot! We came in for a basic dinner date ended up being restaurant week so we did that instead. Food was cooked to perfection, staff was beyond amazing from the moment we walked in till we left. Our water was always full but the waiter was the best so we will come back again for her! It was our 1st time eating here.

    This was my 4th visit to Donjito's, and it has been an excellent experience every time! Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The happy hour mojitos were generously sized, refreshing, and strong. Our server, Marilu, was very warm & efficient!

    We had wonderful dinner and delicious drinks last night. Our waiter, Augusto, was very attentive and considerate. Appetizers and food were really delicious. My husband is gluten-free, and there were many GF meals available to him. The owner, John, was very welcoming as well. The staff even treated us to a complimentary dessert for our birthdays. We hope to be back soon.

    Really enjoyed everything about DonJito other than the automatic 20 percent tip added to the check for a party of four without mentioning it. Glad we looked over the check, because we came very close to not realizing it was there and accidentally adding a second tip. I don't have a problem with automatically adding a gratuity, if it is clearly mentioned in the menu (I didn't see anything) OR if the server SAYS the gratuity has already been added on.

    I’ve been here several times and this was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced in any restaurant. The 45 minute wait to be seated WITH reservations, the moving our table to accommodate the DJ and his guest, and last but certainly not least the presenting us with a check, then changing our check total WITHOUT telling us and charging our cards before notifying us. I used to tell all my friends to dine here. Not anymore. Terrible.

    We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Three of us received our dinner at the same time. However, my husband received his meal about 25 minutes later and the food felt rushed, lack of seasoning. We were given choices of a complementary desert and my daughter picked tres leches, about 20 minutes later we were told that they ran out this past Sunday. So why was it given as a choice?
