We had an excellent experience at Cafe Landwer on Beacon street today welcoming some out-of-town guests. The team were very accommodating since some of the party were stuck in traffic, and we got off to a late start waiting for them. Everyone enjoyed their food and their beverages.

A lovely atmosphere but the chicken was much too salty, and the service was only fair.

The food is great as always . Most of the time is great . This time the server asked me twice about my order. I clarified twice the details. Then it was wrong . I don’t know if it was the device or her . She asked again . I said everything again. No explanation or apology. It was corrected later. It was just strange . Then the person who brought the food looked at me like I was acting strange. For expecting the order …. Don’t misunderstand me, everyone is usually great . This time I don’t know..

Food was amazing as always. Unfortunately, we had a rather unpleasant experience, as we were met by a host that told us we couldn’t make a reservation for 6 people unless we called (which we had done, and had the confirmation on the open table app that the reservation was for 6). She was rather rude and told us that next time we should cancel the reservation and call. Mind this was on a Sunday at 9:00 am with an almost empty restaurant. In the end they accommodated us but the attitude was not great.
