Birthday and Anniversary
Steamy hot in the restaurant. We dined at 6:30 pm. It was so warm the cheese on the cheese platter was melting. Everyone near us were visibly sweating. So hot. We asked if we could open the doors but we're told no as it would interfere if people dined outdoors. A worker went back to her home & brought back a fan which provided some relief. Food was ok. Service good. Music so loud you are forced to listen to everyone's conversations. Overall a disappointing experience & we won't be back.
Was really disappointed in the food. Two of our pasta dishes came out cold and it wasn’t even busy. Portions seemed small as well. The presentation of the food was beautiful but it just wasn’t as good as I was expecting. Sigh....
Forgot almonds. And did not have risotto or gnocchi available sadly. The food was delicious though!!! Great and friendly service!
We did the tasting menu for my friends birthday. They accommodated a party of 5 with ease. Very well seasoned delicious food with great service.
The burrata is life changing! All of the menu items I tried were fantastic.
Chairs are very uncomfortable. Had to move to a table on the wall which had a bench. Food was great as was the service. Music was too loud.
Great food and exceptional service. Listen to the servers recommendations to get the most out of your experience start to finish.
We enjoyed a fantastic meal with drinks, appetizers and pasta dishes. The service was excellent and the meals were delicious. Plates were visually appealing and the timing between meals was perfect. We will definitely be back.
Service was amazing and the timing between appetizers, entree, and dessert arriving at the table was perfect. Food was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely go back.
Great food and terrific service. It was our first visit but won't be our last
Food was great and the service we got was personal and entertaining.
Great food and great service. Highly recommend as a go to dining experience.
group of three. Food was excellent! Definitely will be back!
Eating at Bar Gusto was a completely amazing experience! Starting with the servers who made sure that we were really comfortable and they were very kind and knowledgeable about the menu!
The food was totally amazing! We started with Egg Yolk Raviolo; the first look of this dish is like fire, with three like flames rounding it and the taste was just perfect, that was the first “experience” of the night! You have to cut the Raviolo and the cream inside will explode like a volcano, so I guess that the chef is always trying to give you: fire, with that first dish;
We also had Fried Artichokes and they we’re just amazing! Crunchy but not burned, well cooked but still wet!;
Then we get Carbonara, honestly for one moment I felt like I was in heaven, I love pasta but this one exceeded all my expectations. Everything, trust me, everything in that plate was perfectly planned!;
We also tried the Lobster and Sweet Corn Risotto, if you like sea food this one was made for you. I’m not a huge fan of sea food, but this one made ask for a little bit more! The mix between risotto, lobster, tomatoes and the radish (try all together) was like a explosion of flavours in my mouth!;
The last dish we tried was Confit Duck Leg, that one was made with different textures, but they fit so fine all together! The duck was so tasty and cooked to perfection! The Brussels made this dish fresh! And the lentils gave it a little rough sense in your tongue, but mixed with the triangolis made my mouth feel like in paradise!
I’d like to add that at this place I felt like I was in Italy! Really! the atmosphere of this restaurant was so good, so familiar, so nice, we also met the chef in charge of everything, and he was so kind! He also made some recommendations and we would never regret to take it!
So I must say this place was perfecto!
Everything about our evening at Gusto was outstanding. As a group, we agreed that it was probably one of the best meals that we've ever had. The service was fantastic -- so easy-going and relaxed and at the same time very professional and efficient. I/we can't wait to come back!
Service was wonderful, food was just okay. Husband's steak was 1/3 fat.
Nice little offshoot of Una The food was exquisite and portions generous. The golden beet terrine for example would do well as a vegetarian main. Prices were reasonable. Service was perfect. Attentive without being overly familiar. I like the padded high up seating but the option of raised chairs on the opposite side not so comfy. Didn’t care for needing to exit throgh Una Pizza for a washroom visit. Wasn’t overly quiet but a fun atmosphere once it filled up
Overall I’m going back
Menu is not extensive but the food is great. Service was fantastic as well. Tables a little too close together to be considered romantic but still a nice atmosphere.
Great first experience. By showing up at happy hour several items were 50% which allowed us to try more.
Service was great, server was warm and welcoming. We caught the happy hour which is 1/2 price many of the appetizers and drinks! Great value for what we paid, and we got to try many items because they were so affordable! Delicious food, will be back again.
We were excited to try Gusto out but We were quite disappointed with the experience. We ordered shortly after sitting down as we knew what we wanted to try and it took around 50 minutes to get our order of Carbonara. After the wait, it came out cold. We asked if it could be warmed which they happily did but when they brought it back it was still cold. We also ordered the Lamb shank which was good but overall we were quite dissapointed. With so many places to choose from I doubt we’ll go back
The service and the food exceeded my expectations. I would recommended sharing different things on the menu. My favorite was the artichokes.
Great food! A bit more expensive but really worth it for traditional and fresh pastas. One of the best restaurants in the city, by far. Would definitely recommend!
Absolutely loved the vibe. The Fringe was going on so the front was wide open which afforded the chance to people watch while we waited for our drinks and meal.
Our waitress was super helpful and attentive. Ended up getting the Bayou Spritz which was perfect for a hot summer evening.
Started off with some of the salumi choices which were all yummy. Then the egg yolk ravioli and burrata (the burrata was to die for!!), we shared the cavatelli which was also amazing and enough for two (we found). Unfortunately we didn’t have enough room for dessert!
Bar Gusto definitely lived up to and exceeded expectations. We will definitely be returning!
My friend and I went to BarGusto to try the new restaurant. It’s attached to Una (shared bathroom). The meals were a small to medium size, specifically the pasta. My squid ink pasta was bland and was not offered fresh ground pepper from the server. It took about 35 minutes to receive our meals and when dessert came around it took another 20 minutes. The restaurant was not busy. The house wine was a whopping $18, which is quite high assuming that a house wine would be the most affordable from the list. I think this place has a lot of potential, and I hope to have a better experience there in the future!
The food served was all delicious and we will go back again. Minor disappointment was the cocktail which read well on the menu but wasn’t anything special. Also, we ordered the lamb shank as our main, understanding it was made for 2. I would say it is suitable for 1. We will go with pasta next time. Appetizers were outstanding.
The food and service were good. I would not recommend the restaurant for people looking for many vegetarian options. I was very disappointed in my Aperol Spritz. It was very watery compared to any others I have had.
