                                      Wife had some type of string or fabric in her halibut dish. Recook came with a much smaller piece of fish and looked thrown together. Not nealry as many beans or mushrooms as the original. My med rare steak was well past medium and was cold by the time the recooked fish arrived. Still charged full freight and no check in from the manager afterwards. Overall disappointing meal and service.

                                      We ordered the red and golden beet salad, the kangaroo and salmon as appetizers. The kangaroo was lean and tender and the salmon was fresh and light. The beet salad with goat cheese was phenomenal! Great flavor profiles! We then shared 2 entrees, the rabbit and halibut and both exceeded our expectations! Everything was superb and our wait service was the highlight of the evening! Alex was personal and attentive! She made beautiful recommendations and checked on us regularly, but not to much, giving us plenty of time to converse and enjoy the dishes prepared for us! Canoe is a beautiful dinning location and although it was after 9 pm the gardens were still gorgeous and full of soft lighting allowing us to take a short stroll around the garden beds.

                                      Great everything. The Bloody Mary, She Crab Soup, and Salmon Eggs Benedict were all of high quality and taste. Very attentive and abundant staff, and a great setting. There is a reason this establishment has been around for 30 years!

                                      Most of the courses were excellent, but the soup came out lukewarm, but they took it off my bill. The salmon was very good, but not excellent, in my opinion. The fish itself was excellent, but the the sauce was just ok. My wife enjoyed hers very much. Deserts and the salad my wife had were excellent. Service was wonderful

                                      Waiter over charged our table and did not share tip was included so tried to double dip!! Will not return!!

                                      The food and service are always great at Canoe. We also love the desserts, which are normally inventive and delicious. I just wish they would step up their cocktails to more of a crafted cocktail level. Their version of old fashions are just OK, their cosmopolitans have way too much citrus in them and are not smooth at all, and their espresso martinis come out looking light brown instead of having the dark brown/ black look a good espresso martini has. They taste more like a Kahlúa drink, than an actual espresso martini. A great drink makes the meal better, but their average drinks bring down the overall experience.

                                      Canoe has been a favorite for almost 25 years. The rabbit is my usual choice. Last night, the noise level was very very loud. I may have to choose outdoor seating next time.

                                      Awesome! The wait staff were incredibly polite. The power went out due to a storm during our meal but the entire staff handled it with grace and professionalism.
