Overall it was not a good experience food was poor quality not much flavor .. drinks were very watery, margaritas didn’t taste like anything just basically lemonade. honestly the best part of this date was that tequila shots because you can’t go wrong with that but I will not recommend this restaurant
This was our second time at Cincos. The first time we went there, the restaurant was not fully operating. Three months later we thought all would be fixed. It wasn’t! We entered on a Saturday night at 7:30. Not even 10 patrons there. Suspicious. Problems with chips, food not being hot—twice!! All was blamed on new chef & new managers! This restaurant needs an overhaul. I would Not recommend going there! Nice looking restaurant, but without good food, stay away.
The food was not that good. Service was ok but the service didn't let us know the all you can est period would end before we finished eating, which limited our options. I won't go back
Food was very good. Great tequila options. Our Sever Ms Yolanda was wonderful. Polite, professional and efficient. Always with a smile, made us feel welcomed and well attended.
Server was very professional and we had a great time on Tuesday where the vibes were great! The dj played great music and made for a great date night.
Went for Sunday brunch and ordered drinks that never came, even though the restaurant was only half full. After waiting 35 minutes, we decided to leave since we hadn’t been able to order any food.
Overall disappointed; food was somewhat bland. We ordered a dessert that was to be served with vanilla ice cream but they were out of it (it was only 8:30 p.m.). However, they did accommodate by giving us extra dessert to take home. Staff tried which even included the guy who appeared to be someone in charge opening my car door when my husband dropped me off to go park. I am not sure what I expected but felt pretty let down overall.
Great food and options. I've been several times and I love the food and all the vegan options. The table side guacamole is awesome! Service is always top notch. This was my first time for brunch and they had awesome options as well. I'll be going back soon!
Service needs attention. Food was delivered inconsistent. Our tacos was delivered by a manager and 15 minutes later our beans and rice were brought out. The manager mentioned that it was because the dishwasher cant keep up. Proper utensils were not available upon delivery. I had to go to the bar and ask for napkins and forks.
Not a huge fan of this type of atmosphere when I'm paying to dine..
We really wanted to Like this place. Maybe they just haven’t figured things out since they are new?
It took forever to get drinks from the bar & Forever to get our food. We ended up canceling our dessert order because it took so long. I had the equivalent of fajitas. The chicken was good, but the beef was extremely tough and chewy. Our server was extremely nice, and I don’t know if the slowness had anything to do with her or was all from the bar and kitchen. I’m hopeful that they can pull it together make it a better experience.
The pork belly taco was the best one for sure, and then their shrimp taco was really good too! The place is decorated real cute when you walk in and by the bar, but needs a little something in the back or something on each table. Over all it was great and I’ll be back for their cucumber marg again!
Our ladies group goes out once a month to a restaurant. I chose Cinco because the noise level was such that we could actually hear each other when we talked. It is becoming difficult to find places to eat that aren't so noisy ! The service was great and so was the food!
Great food. Great service.
Only recommendation would be to have the DJ play the music a little lower. At times the music was a little loud that I felt like I had to almost shout to talk to my table.
Service was good food was outstanding for the price for brunch non buffet style
Took over an hour to get our food and it wasn’t that busy. I feel like a manager should have been involved. When food came, part of the order was wrong. Received sides at the end of the meal (completely forgot we ordered them). Didn’t get appetizer (queso dip), had to ask for it again. Chicken smelled like canned cat food. Fish did not taste good either. Outside of building looks nice but he inside is generic. Would not recommend going here.
The food was very bland. The food was not seasoned. The food was lukewarm. Robert and our server Shar-Dai did a wonderful job and I made sure they received a good tip. We informed the assistant manager who could careless if we were satisfied customers of not. I will not go back. From reading the reviews I have to agree with one of the reviews this place will not be there very long. We were seated in the very back of the restaurant away from other people. When we mentioned this to the manager she stated parties of two are seated in the back which is untrue, because there were 4 other parties of two seated in the front. The manager should not be in a managers position. In my opinion I do not recommend this place to anyone.
Took the family to try it for Sunday Brunch. The food just was not good. And not just one item, we tried everything on the menu except what they had discontinued, and none of it was "good". And certainly not acceptable for the price. On top of that, It took forever to get the food. The waiter tried hard but the kitchen could not even keep up with half the restaurant empty. I suppose if we were drinking the all you can drink beverages for an additional $13 person, it might have been different, but the group drinking next to us didn't seem to be enjoying it any more than we were. Disappointed !
Thumbs down, all around.
We arrived at our reservation time. Upon entering there was no one at the hostess stand. We waited... we noticed there was no one behind the bar and no server on the floor. We also noticed there were four tables with menus and two people at the bar with menus. None of them had a beverage yet. We waited about 5 minutes at the hostess stand before leaving. During our 5 minute wait we never saw one person who worked there. Not sure if we will try again.
*We are giving every category a 1-star only because we must rate them all before submitting. I will update my response if we decide to give the restaurant another try.
If you absolutely must dine at Cinco Tacos +Tequila go soon. I don't think this restaurant will be around long. First the good. Our server was attentive and made efforts to atone for the restaurants shoddy food. The decor and ambiance was pretty good for a Mexican restaurant. My ordeal started when I ordered the house margarita w/o salt. It came promptly with salt. It was sent back. My server brought me the correct drink quickly. I ordered my wife the skinny margarita light with salt. It came a little slower (fine she was in the parking lot). When her margarita arrived it was light with salt, about 1/8 of the rim had salt on it. That drink was sent back too. The house margarita was OK. My wife's skinny margarita was pretty good. From there it went really downhill. The manager stopped by to ask how we were doing (the last time we would see him), before our dinner arrived. I ordered three tacos - shrimp, chicken and fish. My wife ordered fajitas. When our meals arrived the food was warm or cold. My wife's veggies were not cooked and her request to hold the peppers was ignored. The black beans that arrived with our meals were cold. My wife's meal and black beans were sent back. My tacos arrived on a bed of wilted, brown lettuce. The presentation of the food was poor. The taste of the food was equally poor. I never had bland Mexican food before. Mercifully, hot sauce accompanied our meals to add some much needed flavor. The manager seemed to be spending more time at the bar rather than walking the floor. Not good. He certainly did not stop by to address the returned drinks and food. When I made the reservation it sounded like the restaurant was experiencing some difficulties that could be addressed. It seems like the owners/managers of Cinco Tacos +Tequila need to go back to the drawing board starting with the manager(s), menu and the kitchen. Is there enough time to turn this sinking ship around? Probably not.
The food was awesome and our server was great!
You can never go wrong with free chips and salsa once you are seated! We had the avacado egg rolls for our app and they were alright, id probably pick something else next time. I had the tacos and they were AWESOME- specifically the carne asada. We were there during happy hour and tried a few drinks. The frozen margaritas were great! We will be back again for sure.
We decided to check out newly-opened Cinco on a Friday evening with our seven-year-old daughter and one of her friends. The service was fine, and the girls loved the water with the dry ice in it, but the food was mediocre, at best. Our daughter and her friend ordered chicken tenders, which came out with a thick batter that you would find on fried fish, and each chicken tender was at least the size of a corndog, which made it very unwieldy for young girls to eat. My arroz con pollo, well beautiful in presentment, was only average. The chicken, which they claim was not frozen (I asked), was tough, dry, and overcooked. It certainly did not taste fresh. The avocados were not ripe, and the rice had clearly been sitting around a while. My wife’s tacos were excellent, on a bright note. We ordered the house margaritas at happy hour prices, which were quite good. That said, this is not a place to which we would return, unless we had a large group of friends who insisted on going there. There are other local Mexican options that are better.
Service was good. Fresh guacamole at table, very good.
Sizzling steak and shrimp fajitas were NOT sizzling and had no flavor! Accompaniments were like warm. Tortillas were store bought, not fresh made. Margarita was mediocre at best!
They are working out kinks . . . But seems a long way off. Hard opening still in future.
Would not recommend. Hesitant to return for second chance!
wellllll! let us just start by saying i wanted to love it, sadly I couldnt. the service was so slow even on beverages such as unlimited mimosas. In fact i went to the bar with our 2 empty bottles and got 2 new ones before our waitress supposedly could get them. the food came out at a decent pace the first time. Some orders wrong and then fixed. Some things were really good.
They need to work on a few things. The room was by no means full and when a table tells you they have a problem the manager shouldnt be clearing tables he should attend to the guest with the problem first. i felt under valued as a customer.
The experience was horrible, food subpar to say the least, waited 20 minutes for a margarita and then was charged for it when they forgot about it. My server spent more time outside smoking than he did waiting on us, the food was horrible, salty and over cooked, not worth a dollar let alone 40! Will never go back and don’t expect it to be in business much longer!
Cinco Taco & Tequila has potential but must first work out kitchen missteps. Note, said missteps were handled quickly and professionally. Service was the meals bright spot.
The food left a lot to be desired. It was average at best. Out of the four people in our party, only one person was happy with their meal. The kids chicken was spicy. The flavor on the chicken tacos was so poor that my husband who is not a picky eater by any means refused to eat his dinner. I would not waste my time returning!
There was no one in the restaurant and it still took an hour to bring out a few salads, plus one of the people in our party did not receive her lunch until the rest of the group had eaten their lunch. Food was average at best. Was hoping it would be good because buildout is nice, but this place is not going to make it.
Our server was good it just took forever to get everything
The food was good the service made the experience just meager.
Went for my birthday it was amazing . The server was wonderfully sent the drinks were so good . Everyone in my group enjoyed the brunch options and drinks . Can’t wait to go back .
We ordered five menu items- four appetizers and one entree.
The table side quacamole we were told was a twenty minute wait so we canceled it and ordered quest instead.
The egg rolls came out but they “lost” our nachos ticket.
Finally got nachos about an hour later and after another 15 minutes canceled the quest and entree.
There for two hours- got two rounds of drinks, two apps and two apologetic visits from manager. The rest of the tables seemed to be having better luck.
Will give it a second chance
Nice atmosphere, very good Margaritas and salsa... food had no taste (so unusual for Mexican)...bland beans, rice and entree, except Baja fish. Nice waiter, but always had to ask another server to find him. Took a long time to get food. Will not go back.
Our waiter was awesome, the food was delicious and the ambiance was pleasant! The value was very good because it was quite a bit of food....enough to have a few leftovers to take home!
It’s only been open a few weeks and we will go back. But our food was cool. Enchiladas Verde and fish tocos, very simple to prepare just didn’t get to us at the right heat. We ate it. But complained and the manager did come see us. You can tell the place is trying to get its stride. And I believe they will.
The ambiance is great. The bar was welcoming with prompt recognition and service .
Rarely have I ever left a restaurant due to poor service. I think I might of done this once in the last 5-6 years.
- waited almost 40 min past our reservation
- watched them pass out shots to everyone without ID’s checked
We used opened table to book a reservation at 8:30pm since it was a Friday night. We arrived at 8:25 where they offered vallet. The vallet let me know to leave my car on and they would take care of it. We then entered the restaurant where we had to wait in line for 5-6 min just to let the hostess know we were there. 10 min later my car is still on at the front of the restaurant with no one in sight. I left my girlfriend inside so we could get our table to find out why my car hadn’t moved. The vallet said he was still learning stick & didn’t know if he should drive it. I went ahead & parked the car letting them know I would keep the keys. I am one who usually does not like vallets so I was totally fine , but I think that is one of the few requirements for a vallet employee. This wasn’t that big of a deal , but why offer vallet if your not able to drive ?
My biggest frustration was over the fact we had to wait over 30 min for our 8:30 reservation. The hostess said it was busy & that’s why we aren’t able to seat you , but they sat 4 parties in front of us with no reservation. They shared that they all had been waiting for longer than us, even though they didn’t have a reservation. In the meantime they were passing out shots to everyone waiting , not ID’ing anyone.
We were finally sat at 9:05 where we had our waitress come by, since we had been waiting we went ahead and placed an order for drinks and a side of guacamole. Again we were starving and hoping to get something to eat. We waited an additional 15 min for our drinks & guacamole to show up until we decided to leave.
We stopped by the manager on the way out to share our experience. Ultimately we were frustrated with having to wait so long even with a reservation.
We had a great time! Our waiter Merrick was amazing and very attentive! There was also a busser I believe who brought us our tacos, she was AMAZING! Her energy and vibe was wonderful! Totally would go back for the two of them! Probably next Taco Tuesday to be honest!
Menu is very odd and limited. Service was friendly and attentive. Only had two vodka choices and had never heard of one of them I ordered a chicken dish and it was very good. Family enjoyed the tacos and quesadillas.
I trust with time they will pull it together.
I realize they are new, but I will not go back for at least 6-8!weeks. Menu is nowhere near “full”, but that is not mentioned on the website. Service was spotty and very slow and the bill was too big for what you get. They have a long way to go before I would choose them over Cocina 214 or Agave Azul.
We came for brunch and was excited about the menu and price for food and drinks. They had a great selection. We got our first round of drinks and everything started to go downhill. The first food order they brought out was wrong and they took a few times to fix it. We ordered another round of drinks (since they are bottomless) and they didn't come for almost 45 minutes. The waitress said she would check on it a few times and then said she would bring us a pitcher. We ordered more food and nothing happened. People were sitting down and being helped, but many left because they were upset only the brunch menu was served (you can't order off the regular menu). They came to tell us they ran out of glasses for the drinks(when there is empty clean glasses sitting on tables not being used). The manager came over and attempted to fix the situation with house vodka pineapple shots and finally brought us a pitcher of orange juice and a bottle of champagne (not sure why that took an hour). About 10 minutes later we received our 2 Sangrias. The food was brought out and the shrimp tacos, steak and eggs and french toast were some of our favorites. Finally we tried to put in another order but they said they ran out of shrimp and had to go buy some more? The managers attempted to help the situation, but $32 a person for bottomless food and drinks should not mean you wait an hour between each serving. We won't be back because there is so many other food places in the area with a great brunch deal and great service.
Our waitress was I’m sorry to say horrible. It was like we were at a Denny’s restaurant no welcome let me tell you about our menu. My fish tacos were mediocre like two small frozen fish pieces, my hubby ordered steak fajitas he didn’t like them, frozen margaritas were basically nonalcoholic drinks.
