    We visited Butcher’s Cut on NYE - it was so busy but the staff were very nice and professional. We got the 24oz tomahawk and it was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. Our Caesar salad, fries and lava cake were all good. Our server was wonderful!

    New Year’s Eve, probably over booked. Reservation for 2 at 930. Service was not very good. Personnel were polite and cheerful however long stretches of no service when needed. Food was excellent. When I pay this amount I expect better service. I was disappointed.

    We decided to celebrate NYE at Butcher's Cut. Overall we had an OK experience. We called in advance to reserve a high-chair for the baby, but when we got to the restaurant there was not a seat available. The food offerings for the set menu had a good variety. We ordered Oysters, the Tomahawk, Porterhouse and sides. The Oysters were fresh but because of the rush of the evening the Champagne Vinaigrette was all Champagne, no vinegar. The waitress quickly swapped it once we were able to grab her attention. We really were craving good steaks so that's why we chose the restaurant. The steaks were OK. Our porterhouse was requested medium but came in very much on the medium rare side. The waitress was nice and their brandy mushroom cream sauce really was tasty. Their lobster mac & cheese and brussels sprouts were also good. Overall the restaurant had a nice vibe, we sat in the outdoor seated area which had warmers for the rainy night.

    Although it was a stormy night our table outside was still comfortable. Service was not as good being a restaurant of that quality. I was given the wrong dish and when I pointed it out the waiter brought me the menu to verify - as if I ordered the wrong dish. All at the table heard what I ordered and the waiter was incorrect. The New York cut was not seasoned as well as the Filet and was over-cooked. When pointed out one of the servers denied such. Service was slow as it took a long time for drinks to be served. Overall - the service and food was not up to par for a restaurant like this. Being New Year's Eve may a reason but not used as an excuse.

    Wife and I dined here for New Year’s Eve, this would be our first time here and after reading most of the reviews we felt confident we would not be disappointed. Let me start of with service was great, from a minimal wait to be seated to a very good waiter with 1 exception, he was to busy to check on us after we received our food from his wait staff. My wife and I shared lobster Mac n cheese, watery and bland, mushrooms were great, crab cake appetizer, very good and we both ordered bone in ribeyes. My wife asked for medium and I ordered mine medium rare, stressed that sense this restaurant is known for its steaks. My wife’s was cooked to medium and mine closer to medium well! I hoped that after the first few bites I would find the remaining steak to to be medium rare, no such luck, in fact it became consistently medium well. Due to a very busy night I wasn’t able to get the attention of our waiter until I was nearly halfway done. When speaking with him I shared my concerns and disappointment and showed him the steak, he agreed it was over cooked, apologized and offered to credit us a round of drinks. Because it was a very busy night I didn’t want to complain and add drama for the restaurant or spoil mine and and my wife’s evening. Guessing I should have not been so considerate by not complaining to the manager or asking for a full refund for my steak but since my meal was sub par why bother. Moral is” speak up”

    We needed a dinner reservation for NYE and didn't want to pay for a Prixe menu. This place didn't disappoint. The steaks were all prepared as requested and our server Joseph was amazing. It was packed but ambiance and overall experience made up for any time we may have felt like we were waiting on anything. Will definitely eat here again!

    The food was amazing and great service. Only thing that was not great was being seated with all the two tops, it was a very tight squeeze and made it uncomfortable being that close to another couple eating.

    Locals here. We went there for Christmas dinner. The food came out at once. The appetizers needed to come out first, and then the main meal. By the time we ate the main meal it was cold. The food is average but expensive. The entire experience felt rushed. I’m not going back. Should have gone to Morton’s for the price and better service.

    Great tasting Filet Mignon and Center cut NY. Though, I think the knife was dull because it didn't cut my Filet very well. The Filet was tender and flavorful. Service was pleasant and good, though not formal. Huge disappointment on the small things, we were charged for water. It was chilled 'still' water. Not a fan of that, plus there was no hint that it would cost something. If you are paying for $48+ steaks each, don't you think water should be included? After seeing that, I wondered if I paid for the butter that came with the bread. Bread and butter were no additional charge. If you want formal top of the line service with steaks that are just as good or better and free water- Morton's is a better choice. If you want a nice, informal great place for great steaks this is the place. Menu prices are very similar to Morton's.

    Such a wonderful resturant! The steaks were all dry aged and you can tell, 10/10 quality. Francesco our server was so knowledgeable about the wines and made our expirience so enjoyable. If you have a special occasion this is the place to go

    Fabulous experience. The decor was trendy and the drinks were as delicious as the food. Also really impressed by the staffs knowledge of the menu. Excellent recommendations were made on the crab cake and which cut of meat (I had the filet and my fiancée got the wagyu special) was best for us that evening! Will definitely be putting this in the rotation of restaurants to go to!

    Went there with a friend last night. We got their special dry aged 32oz tomahawk steak. It was delicious. Also got crap cake and tuna,salmon tartare as appetizers, they both was on point. Their special cocktails you must try, new fashion and bonfire margarita was my favorites. Servers were so professional, knowledgeable about menu and ready to answer all the questions. I will definitely go back and will recommend to my friends.

    A lively place, so be ready for some noise. But that aside, they dry age their own steaks on-site, and they are DELICIOUS!!! Such a good meal. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. There when you needed something, but not hovering. Definitely looking forward to next visit.

    What a great experience we have in this restaurant, we usually don’t go to Gaslamp because of parking, but they offered parking validation. but this place brought my attention because the decoration. Service was the best I had I a long time. We had tomahawk special.. great flavor and portions.

    My wife and I had dinner last night. The service started of good. After we received our drinks our server was way to busy. We weren’t the only ones having lack of service. Once our appetizer came our they didn’t bring the dressing for my wife’s salad. I had to flag down a different person to get the dressing. When our main course came out they forgot about my mashed potatoes. We ordered a second cocktail before our food came out and that took about 20 minutes to receive our drinks. It was almost like our server went on break and nobody else was asked to cover for her. When our server was there she had a great attitude and was very personable. The food was good. Overall I would say as long as you have time yo relax and go with the flow it’s worth another shot.

    All was good. A little unorganized but everything came out ok. Price was not as expected. Was told one price when upgrading my bourbon and they charged me $5 more than what I was told. The trio special was delicious but not worth the $130! Should have asked the price before ordering but expected it to be half what they charged me. Not worth $130!!

    Good meat. They make you take San pellegrino water instead of ice water. The waiter talks to everyone as you have never been there before. She should ask before taking about the restaurant por 5 minutes.

    We were mislead by our waitress up sale tactic she referred to our meal as specials while pointing to a listed price of 62 per person never once telling us it was 130+ per person…thinking that the listed price was around 62 dollars i added appetizers and sides which I may not have done had she been completely honest with us… I should have talked to a manager last night but I didn’t want to cause a scene on our special night the ambiance was nice and the food was actually basic at best!! but I’m extremely disappointed in this experience and because of this I may not be returning I hope you could make this right with us but next time be upfront and fully disclose the price and not take advantage of your customers

    This restaurant was the perfect place to celebrate our Anniversary. The bread was crispy but soft in the middle with a great blend of buttery and fresh richness. The Wedge salad also with a wonderful mix of shaved carrots, tomatoes, bacon (yum) and blue cheese. That definitely had dinner starting out on the right path. The wine selection was decent but then the stars of the show were the Blooming Onion, which was flavorful and juicy with a nice spicy sauce, and then... we had the A5 Wagyu steak! Talk about melt in your mouth steak that you can cut with a fork! Wow, it was cooked to perfection and up there with the best steaks we have ever had. You take a bite, and honestly you can't help from saying "mmm" out loud with a closing of your eyes as you indulge in the most succulent bite. Wow - we will be back! The staff was nice taking our pics too!

    Overpriced and underwhelmed by the quality of the food. We would pay $400 for Michelin Star but $400 for one Steak and one starter is absolutely ludicrous. Dooped by their menu never again, avoid and read their other reviews
