   We made a reservation for Mother's Day, and when we arrived, learned that they were running very late, so we were sat about 20-30 min late. Then, it took 20 min before we got to place our order. And to pile on, it took 45 min between our appetizers and entrees. Yes, the waiter apologized, but our dinner took a little over 3 hours for appetizers, entrees and dessert. And we were only a party of 3, so nothing complicated. Separately, the food was just OK -- extremely sweet and over sauces across the board. And the music was loud hip-hop. Just not clear what we're getting for more than 3X the price of good Chinese take-out.

   Taò has always been a favorite however today, the service was unbelievably poor. My “waitress” didn’t do anything aside from being us the check. I requested a manager to assist as the young lady had literally done nothing for us. We had to ask bussers for forks, sauce, water, boxes, the check etc. Unbelieve to be honest.

   We went for their Mother’s Day buffet. Nice ambiance, and good service. However, we probably won’t dine again, because the food was quite disappointing. I had high hopes after reading all the positive reviews. Only the suckling pig and desserts were tasty. We were really let down.

   AMAZING!! I've been to the Tao in NY and Las Vegas and the Chicago one did not disappoint!! It was a fabulous dinner so glad we went!

    It's a lively spot primarily frequented by a younger crowd dressed to impress. I brought my aunts, visiting from Mexico in their mid-70s, and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming to them. My aunts really enjoyed the experience and were having a great time. I'm used to encountering snobby staff at some of these more trendy restaurants but this team was so friendly and accommodating — it truly made the visit special. I would definitely recommend this place for its vibrant atmosphere and warm service.
