They have created a gem in an area that lacks good restaurants. I can't wait to go back to try a pinza!
Had a lovely dinner here! Very friendly and prompt waitstaff, manager was wonderful, and the food was so good! Looking forward to coming back
The food was great, from the salad to the branzino to the pinsa.
The bar was awful. They need training. The drinks took 20 minutes. We received our appetizers before the drinks and they just weren’t good. I would go back because our server was great and the food was good, but they really need to fix the bar situation.
From start to conclusion , this restaurant was a winner. The food was thoughtfully prepared but not pretentious. We were able to enjoy our food and have meaningful conversation in the manner of dining out in Europe. We also appreciated the service, which was attentive but not hovering and were pleased that we were not rushed. We plan to return next week and the week after and hope the experience will be as good.
Surprisingly good Good!
A bit pricey but location is convenient.
We had a wonderful time. The waitress was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. The pumpkin ravioli was fantastic. The steak was marvelous. The portions were very generous.
The food was fine. The frito misto which was supposed to contain shrimp and an assortment of vegetables was mostly just chucks of batter with nothing in side. The staff seemed very nervous and after a bottle of wine broke after getting knocked off of our table (which was an accident, I completely understand) the management did not even come over to address the situation, but they did stand from just far enough away to observe the situation.
I had the short ribs which were very good, but the pizza and ragu were marginal at best.
We sat at a high top in the bar area and shared small plates. Everything was delish from the Italian wine to the food, hope this stays awhile!
fine roman style pizza with a special dough, well prepared (al dente) pastas and nice meat/fish selections, too. good wine list by the bottle and glass, including the option of large/small wine servings. perhaps add a local dark beer or two. decent pricing considering its prime lincoln park location.
Amazing restaurant: came for a birthday celebration and left extremely satisfied. Everything on the menu was delicious and a lot of the options were things you can’t find at other restaurant, which makes you want to come back.
Great new neighborhood restaurant. Service was great, food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Go now!
Awesome service, very knowledgeable and friendly. Great food as well. Must choice could change tomatch the setting.
FOOD: Above average but not remarkable.
SERVICE: Terrible. Four adults. Server began by taking food orders. I had to interrupt to say we wanted to order a round of drinks first. When food service began, all orders mixed up. Some got their first course, some got their second course, some got nothing. On next round, some got their first course, some got their second course. (For example, one got her entree as the first course and her salad as the second course.) Those who didn't got anything in the first round got their first and second courses at the same time. Had to ask for a wine list. Had to ask FOR dessert menus.
AMBIANCE: Very noisy. Impossible to have a conversation. Room is casual. Menu and prices more fitting for a white table cloth restaurant.
OVERALL: Was looking forward to having an upscale Italian restaurant in the area (Clark and Fullerton). Still am. Casati's is a great disappointment.
What a great addition to our neighborhood. Great salads and pizza. Keep wanting to try other items on menu; but, the pizza keeps pulling me back.
After trying brunch and dinner at this new restaurant, I can strongly recommend you do the same. Everything was great!
Tried it for the first time and the food was great! We will be back to try th pizza
My girlfriends and I were here for my birthday dinner. It was such a perfect evening. First, we were seated at a round table which is perfect for conversation with 8 people. The food was delicious, the wine list was very good with very reasonable to pricey options. Our server talked to the manager and even brought over some Lemoncello shots for all of us right before the complimentary birthday dessert. Very enjoyable evening, we will be back!
Our first dinner at this very nice restaurant. Five of us really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was excellent.
service and food were quite good there are some kinks in the service that need to be refined and it will be with more time. i love having a good italian restaurant so near.
The food was all really delicious and well prepared and presented. Drink options were great. The pizza crust is the best I've ever had. We loved it and will be back soon, since it is so close!
The pasta was good but quite a small portion. We split a salad which was fine, but nothing special..
We also had the trio of bruschetta, which was okay but also nothing special. The issue I had with the bruschetta trio was that on the menu it is $12 (we actually got charged $11), but when I looked at the Bar menu after the fact, the bruschetta was $3 each!! What a rip!!
My biggest issue was the service. We ordered our food; an appetizer and a salad to share and each got a pasta. However, they brought everything out within a minute apart! We felt completely rushed, and then after the waitress was there time and time again bringing food, she disappeared and we didn’t see her for the next half hour.
I would not recommend this restaurant.
Service is excellent and knowledgeable staff
Try the Capricciosa pizza - one if the best pizzas We’ve eaten
Our office went for dinner to this new, local hot-spot and had a terrific meal. We split several types of Pinsa and two entrees, all of which were outstanding. The Gnocchi were my favorite! We all enjoyed different types of wine from their expansive and affordable list. Our server gave us many recommendations, all of which we were delighted with. The space itself is cozy and has great ambiance. So happy to have a fresh restaurant in the neighborhood like Casati's.
Food and service were both outstanding! We had the Risotto and Pinsa! I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine with a modern welcoming ambience!! 5 stars!!! #happyhourallday
Just a really so-so and slightly "off" experience. I'm familiar with the space and it's just been a very hard location for restaurants to thrive. The space is much too large and it was obvious that it was understaffed on a Friday night which doesn't bode well. The wait staff were really nice and lovely, but the food and wine were just OK. Will not be coming back.
Great new place in Lincoln Park. Unique pizza. Light, airy crust, great flavor combinations. Delicious! Also had an excellent vegetarian protein salad which consisted of farro and quinoa topped with some greens, peppers and tomatoes, my husband is a meat eater but loved this salad. Good portion sizes. Great experience overall. Can’t wait to go back!
Fast service; friendly service and attentive. The kale salad was great.
The food was delicious but the portions seemed a bit small for the price. I would definitely go again though!
Much better Italian in Chicago...don't waste your time here unless you live in the area.
The service and venue were great. However, the food and portion size has a little ways to go before it matches the service. We did the carbonara, truffle fries and gnocchi. The carbonara pasta was undercooked and the fries could have benefited from being cooked a little longer.
Ultimately the place is new and the kinks will work out. It will be a good choice in October
This was my first time dining at this establishment. Was told that the place had only been open for 2 weeks. Greeted by friendly staff who let us pick which table we felt most comfortable sitting at. Our server greeted us within 1 minute and answered questions and patiently waited for us to decide on what we wanted to drink. Our server gave us plenty of time to look over the menu before deciding (after she answering our questions) on what we wanted to eat. She was a very attentive and friendly server. She checked in on us several times during our main course and was right on time to refill our drinks. The best part for me was dessert; they served puppy chow. It was very elegantly displayed and was a wonderful treat! The food, service, ambiance and of course my wonderful company made for an unforgettable evening. Thank you.
Everything was amazing! Only thing I’d change is the burrata - it was more like mozzarella and didn’t come with any bread. Besides that, pizza and wine were 10/10!
Excellent food and service — great new addition to Luncoln Park!
We loved everything we ordered! The service was great too. They were very attentive and got everything right-- and we were a group of 4 with a few changes. Will definitely go back. Hope this place sticks.
One word...Incredible. wonderful place. Unbelievable food. Great chef.
In a city of pizzas, this pizza stands apart and is a must try.
Great new place! Hopefully it can break the curse of this space (formerly standard market grill and Emilio’s Tapas) The pizzas are delicious I would recommend the duck confit, as well as the prosciutto. We also shared the lobster ravioli entree which was very good. The pizza has a lighter feel than traditional dough but still has a lot of great flavor. Happy to have this addition to the Lincoln Park area would recommend trying it!
This is a new place in a great location with an excellent authentic Italian menu. It was delicious and they are finding their way on the service side because they are so new but don't let that stop you, this entire staff cared about everything being good. I give them all an A for effort and wish them well in this new space!
