   One of our favorite restaurants in the city. The food is reliably excellent, nice nightly options and wonderful flavours and presentation. Richard the chef/owner is a real talent and obviously takes pride in his profession. I personally love the sausage gumbo, the shrimp creole and the bourbon shrimp that appear on the nightly specials, but everything I’ve tried is truly excellent. My highest recommendation!!

   My wife and I are frequent diners here, and the restaurant never disappoints. Excellent food at a fair price, and in a lively atmosphere. I can't recommend enough the fried chicken appetizer (more than large enough for 2 persons to share) and the catfish main dish. There was a very uncharacteristic small hitch in the service on this particular occasion, but the restaurant more than made it up to us for the minor inconvenience. In these days of high restaurant prices, it is so nice to know that there's a place to go that is so consistent, and that gives the diner such good value.

   "I love the relaxed feel of this place, we sat outside on the terrace and it felt like we were in a garden with beautiful lilac tree and the food was great! We all enjoyed the fish cake and fried chicken entrees. We each enjoyed our main meal: shrimp and grits, the grits were delicious! The smoked brisket was very tasty and tender. The catfish was delicious and so was the lamb shank. Definitely recommend it!!!!

   First visit and will definitely be back All 4 of our group chose something different and everyone of the meals were great Waiter was very attentive and gave great information about the dishes on offer and service was very good as well.

    This was our first time at Bistro Nolah and we were very excited to try it. We went for the 5 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. The first course was a gumbo, paired with Prosecco, although it was tasty, it was probably my least favorite of the 5 courses. It was too salty for my taste. The second course was the crab cake paired with white wine. It was crispy on the outside, not at all greasy and the crab was the main star. It was a delight and probably my favorite. The 3rd course was shrimp and grits. There were 2 nice large shrimp sittin atop smooth, creamy, cheesy grits, topped with a nice sauce and some crispy fried leeks. It was delicious. The 4th course was the short rib. It came with mashed potatoes and a couple of taro chips. The dish was tasty, the barbq sauce not too sweet and the mashed potatoes were delicious. The last course, dessert, was bread pudding with a bourbon sauce served with a few blueberries and raspberries, a nice end to a great meal. Our waitress took good care of us, and when we asked about the bread (because we heard that it was special) she brough us each a roll with the special butter (I didn't hear what it was). Wow! I didn't want to eat bread because of all the food we were being served, but I couldn't resist. It came warm and was sweet, a bit like a brioche. I ate the whole thing. I cleaned every plate. We will definately be going back!

    Comme d’habitude, notre soirée fut un succès. Nous adorons Bistro Nolah et les recommandons fortement. On a bien hâte que le temps chaud arrive pour manger sur leur belle terrasse.

    Staff was extremely accommodating and the service was excellent! The waitress answered all of our questions and made excellent recommendations. Food was outstanding, they had a variety of sea food options. Such a cute restaurant you don’t even feel like you’re in the west island!!

    Have duck confit. A little too salty. The warm bread with spicy butter was amazing. The donuts for dessert was very good too. Not too sweet. Just perfect.

    My sister and l really enjoyed our time over there. Waiter explained every meal we asked with patience and honesty. If your looking for privacy tho, this might not be the place because the room is small and tables are close to each other but the food is to die for. Exquisite! The pain perdu ( dessert) with bourbon is a must!

    Food and service are great --no issues there. Perhaps a little cramped in terms of seating and definitely noisy. But, I guess, it is a bistro after all.
