   Havent been here in awhile and there weren’t many tables occupied- service was very good, although we were never offered a 2nd round of drinks- attentive and friendly- entrees were nicely presented and good flavor - would love to see some steamed or roasted veggies on menu - no problems parking off Lover’s Lane and nice spot for casual but great service/food dinner

   While NHS Lovers has been a perennial favorite, our meal last night was just not up to par. The coleslaw serve with the halibut was awful, the mac and cheese was bland, and the chocolate cake was so overcooked it was completely caramelized. So disappointing.

   We had a fab time. Hostess was gracious and kept us in the loop on availability of our table. Service by Nico was impeccable. Bartender was a class act. Food was delicious. My only “complaint” is that it’s loud as heck in there. Had to really turn up our voice volumes to 11.

   We went twice recently thinking the first time was an off night. But now they are really making it too loud with the music and portions are modest compared to high prices. They are dramatically overcompensating for smaller portions by doling out truly embarrassing quantities of fries with their meals.

   We had a great server Marcus! Food was delicious. The specials exceptionally good. Only thing that was a little odd was the crab dip. It was different than the description on the menu but still tasty…just different than expected.

    Very impressed with our server who noticed my wife's fish entry coming unexpectedly 'fried' rather then broiled/grilled (an oversight from not reading the menu clearly), and not to her liking, repeatedly asking if she could take it back and substitute another fish entree that came grilled........my wife was initially too embarrassed to send it back, but ultimately the server's kind persistence in asking made it ok to do so. Wonderful service, above and beyond. Much appreciated

    We sat at the bar where the service was top notch and had great drinks from our bartenders. We each ordered burgers. One medium and one medium well. They came out pink and rare, not even close. Sent them back and they came back more charred on outside but still pink in the middle. We made due but regretted it. Meat was chewy, tasteless. Bun was cold and dry. The big basket of fries were so greasy and limp. Not sure what happened, but worst burger/fries I’ve had in a LONG while. And for $23…NS must be dialing it in now.

    Service from Marcus was great (servers here are always amazing). Two things I'm noticing are different in the past year especially: (1) food courses come out super fast, right on top of one another, even when you specifically ask for a break in between. I get they need to turn tables, but we went through an app, salad, entree, in 45 min and didn't even get our first cocktail before the app came out. That is a bit rushed. I've spend 45 min in a cafe just sipping coffee, so to spend over $150 for 2 and be rushed feels wrong. P.S I tipped $55 which was over 30% because I was a server and it isn't his fault. The other issue is portions on some things are super small while others have remained the same. example: linguine with shrimp looked like an app portion - 3 shrimp with what looked like a handful of linguine. asparagus app thankfully was as good as ever. still love it here, will be back, just hoping things can go back to feeling like a neighborhood spot where you don't feel rushed cheers

    As usual NHS is a home away from home. Michelle, Andrew and Kristen are exceptional and professional. The menu is comprehensive and offers opportunities for every palate. Cozy, comfortable and tasty.

    Debbie was absolutely wonderful! Our whole group were first-timers and came in for a birthday. She helped the birthday guest feel so special, and she made wonderful recommendations for each person! We ordered the fluke special, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and some other things that were all DELICIOUS. We’ll definitely be back!

    Marcus provided excellent service per usual the halibut was outstanding as was the ceviche not super crowded last night which kept the noise level down. My go to spot is ever consistent.

    Overall nice experience and the food was very tasty. Hats off to Austin, our waiter, friendly and professional. Thumbs up for both the meatballs in voodoo sauce and the fried asparagus. Wife had the fried shrimp and Mac & cheese. Shrimp were enormous and prepared just right. The Mac & cheese is rich and cheesy, half of it came home with us. Finally the schnitzel with spaetzels was very tasty (maybe a bit too much salt on the spaetzles) but well prepared.
