Utilizing specialized seafood sourced from Tsukiji Market, Japan & around the world to bring forth an omakase experience that focuses on freshness, flavor & texture.
The Lins polished their skill set while training in some of the top omakase restaurant around New York including Blue Ribbon, Gaijin & 15 East.
What a gem this place is. The sushi and sashimi were very fresh, comparable to other high end sushi bars in the city. I reserved for a birthday dinner and they gave us free dessert with candle! It was very thoughtful of them.
Sushi Lin was wonderful - friendly staff, excellent value. Fish was so fresh and beautifully presented. Sit at the counter and ask the chefs about different types of Uni :)
Delicious, fresh sushi. Awkward service at times. Would go back & recommend over other sushi spots in the neighborhood.
I don't know why it took us so long to try this place, but my husband and I finally checked it out a couple of nights ago and were definitely not disappointed. It was easily one of the best sushi and omakase experiences we have had, not only in NYC but internationally. The fish is incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepares and presented. Not only were the various servings aesthetically stunning, they were so delicious and well balanced on every level. There wasn't a single bite that was anything less than superb. The staff members and sushi chefs are also very kind and attentive, and the chefs genuinely seem to be enjoying themselves. Our chef was so friendly and communicative without being overly chatty. He took the time to explain what each dish was and was very knowledgeable (and also funny!). We are looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend this place, especially for omakase.
The best sushi in Brooklyn
Great food with great value
Foodies will love it
Great omakase. Probably one of the best in Brooklyn. Check out more omakase review at @ashefoodblog on all social platform
Very fresh sashimi and excellent Mochi for dessert. Service was so-so, but it was our waitress's first day. I would definitely go back.
Grabbing a bite with my brothers and this place popped up on the radar as a suggestion from one of my brother's friends. The quality and care they put into the sushi is definitely world-class. We had the full Omakase at the bar and it was awesome. My one gripe is that it was definitely a little more noisy than I would have liked it to be but everyone seems to be having a good time. Highly recommend
We had a full experience omakase !! Fresh and delicious!!!
The food was excellent. We got the omakase at the counter. Unfortunately service was very slow. We waited for 20 minutes, once seated at the bar for anyone to take our order. Finally, the head Sushi chef asked us if we had ordered yet. When we said no, he took our Sushi order and asked a server to come get our drink order. After ordering a bottle of sake, 30 minuets later, we were still waiting on the sake. Finally, I asked another server if he knew where our same was. He came back with a bottle of sake that we realized when we got the bill, wasn’t even the sake that we had ordered. We were there for over 2 hours for just Sushi omakase. I’m not sure if they were short staffed that evening but the service was disappointing.
The quality of fish is great, but the omakase is a total standout unlike most places. Each piece is an intricately prepared bite of multiple flavors that it truly exceptional.
amazing omakase as usual! love it here. My cousins, and friends love it here as well
The omakase by the bar was great. They have some unique flavor combinations that definitely sets them apart from other places. Friendly service and a pleasant experience.
Seriously, some of the best sushi and sashimi I've had in Brooklyn in a long time. Truly excellent. My husband has eaten many a spicy tuna handroll and he said his was about the best he's ever had. They offer saki and beer only. But a good selection.
I felt a little guilty as we've been going to Geido - down the block - for about 20 years now. I'll still go back to Geido - here's the difference - the staff at Lin didn't really know the menu. We had a lovely young waitress and she admitted that she knew nothing about the beer selection. Then I asked her the classic question: can you describe what is on the sushi deluxe? Her answer: "I don't know...a lot of choices." What waiter doesn't know and isn't able to describe the choices on a menu? We asked the other waiter and he did better. I told him I don't eat mackerel or eel (don't judge me!) and he assured me he could sub that out. When my sushi came, I asked him to tell me what each fish was. He admitted that one was mackerel 'but it's a mild mackerel that you'll like'. ?????? He also called one fish (that was a sashimi) 'brown fish'. I'm pretty sure that's not at all what it was but it had a brown skin on so he decided it was 'brown fish.'
Summary? Fish is AMAZING!!!!! Service needs serious training so they actually understand and can communicate their menu. Love that they take reservations.
Have been to Sushi Lin few times now. This was first time sitting at a table since we had our kids. Counter experience way better but still great at table. If you can I recommend full omakase at the counter.
TOP NOTCH SUSHI! THE OMAKASE IS AMAAAAAZING! Fresh, friendly. I can have sushi every day at Sushi Lin!
Good food, friendly staff, very fresh.
All I can say is wow and thank you for a truly memorable omakase experience. The food and the vibe was perfection. Only negative thing now is I wont be able to enjoy sushi at my normal sushi take out joint by me. I cannot eat any other sushi now.
Was an amazing dinner
Chef Lin makes sitting by the bar extra special !!!
As a sushi addict, I can confidently say -- there is nothing like Omikase at Sushi Lin. Close to a religious experience -- sushi couldn't get better than this!
Chef Lin is a mastermind! Sit at the counter for the best omakase experience! I suggest the 60$ Omakase! Fresh and truly amazing! I come here almost every week!
Best Omakase in Brooklyn and amazing service overall. With so many sushi options around Sushi Lin crushes the competition with the quality of fish, awesome service and super friendly staff. Easily became a regular after the first time there and have returned many times and never been disappointed once.
The food was good but we felt ignored for a while (sat down for ten minutes and still no menu - I had to ask to get a menu) and I think they had given my reservation away despite me calling ahead of time to let them know I was going to be ten minutes late.
Sushi Lin is a gem for the neighborhood. I get to enjoy a wonderful omakase experience without going all the way to the city. They have a few omakase options. Service is attentive but the noise level could get loud.
Fantastic! This is my new favorite sushi place. Fabulous omakase.
Disappointing to say the least. I was very underwhelmed with the food. Quality and quantity was lacking. I ordered the Omakase Sushi and Sashimi ($80) and felt it was overpriced for 12 pieces of fish. Very pretty presentation but flavors was lacking. Nothing special.
Seriously, this is the best sushi in NYC! And this is truly my passion -- so I don't give a sushi restaurant 5 stars unless it really is deserved. AND IT IS!
Omakase was good quality and a fair price point. Great addition to the neighborhood.
