The Society of Six was an influential community of six artists in Northern California during the 1920′s prohibition era. At their cabin, known as “The Chow House,” these six closely-knit artists enjoyed creating art with their home-made meals, brews and wines. The Six, established in 2010, was inspired by the “Society of Six” and in its honor we have created this rustic American experience to share unpretentious cuisine that is appealing to everyone. We have brought to our neighborhood a cozy atmosphere that is affordable and accessible to everyone. The restaurant’s décor is built using primarily recycled materials. Classic cast iron skillets and rustic wood planks are often used to serve our delicious locally sourced fare. Our streamlined menu emphasizes the concept of “six”; choose from six exciting starters, six savory entrees, six red wines, six white wines, six brews on tap & six desserts.

This restaurant we noticed has a grade of B. So we won’t be going back there until that’s fixed.

Good solid service and yummy food every evening. However, get out of bed and come for brunch on the weekend! You know that you really want that "bottomless" cocktail...

Interesting lunch! Food was actually very good and service was fine. Somehow website image seemed to conjure a larger more comfortable environment which turned out to be a cozy bar atmosphere for lunch but not so inviting for a relaxed extended dinner (i.e. small tables - no booths, etc.) Menu has a couple of interesting items not often seen like fried avocado which was as expected - good quality but missing the surprise zing we were hoping for! Overall, probably a 4.

Try The Six if you would like a change in ordinary dinner experiences. Lots of history, good food and great service. The wine list is pretty good and affordable, too.

It's a reliable , though not perfect place. Casual enough for families. Interesting enough food for adults. The only thing that disappointed me last weekend was the key lime pie. It's not tart enough or lime-y enough. Well , one more thing...the ceviche needed more citrus taste too. Do make reservations if possible.

I took a client and we shared 3 appetizers and a some wine and it was all fantastic! The brussel sprouts are so delicious and we tried the risotto for the first time and it was great! And I love love love the turkey sloppy joe sliders. We could not finish all the food but our tummies were very happy!
