   Three of us meet regularly for brunch on weekends and we've dined at Gabi James together many times because we love it so much. This last Sunday did not disappoint! It was so nice to see Sarah who greeted and seated us, and our server Bianca treated us like long-lost relatives, as if she couldn't do enough to make us happy. Henry was also super kind to take our foto at the table. Food was delicious as always, and we couldn't stop ordering the grilled bread and shaved butter to finish our drinks. Everything was fantastic, we'll definitely be returning over and again.

   Been to Gabi James many time. Tapas and main dishes are all great. On this occasion, we had the Steak au Poivre (with the peppercorn sauce) -- which is always amazing. The Arugula salad is a light and refreshing change to the meat (but we also ordered a side of French fries). If you haven't tried the steak, I would highly recommend. Enjoy!

   The food was very good. Our friends have some dietary restrictions and they had no problem finding great options. My wife and I shared the kale salad and pork chop. Well done on both accounts.

   We are regulars, and with good reason. Food, service, everything was awesome, as usual. We went for my wife’s birthday, and they made it a very special night for us. Bucatini with pork belly - fantastic as a special. All Day Oxtail - excellent as usual. Calamari - perfect. Highly recommend!

   The food was truly excellent, as was the service. Only one nitpick - the music was less than stellar. It sounded like a constant bass undertone with not much else for most of the evening. Otherwise, it was a great Valentine's Day evening. We will definitely be returning!

    The restaurant is very noisy and it is difficult to carry on a conversation, especially at a larger table. The "small plates" were quite good & tasty. But the main courses were blah in both flavor and presentation yet expensive for what you got. I would recommend going for the cocktails and small plates and skip the larger dinner and wine. The service staff was nice and efficient. The owners only allow you to stay at your table for a two hour period of time (and put a sign on your table as to when you must leave) so the kitchen gets the food out fast. I would recommend Gabi James with the above caveat.

    Really lovely place! Service was nice and attentive, the food was really good! We got some small plates and shared. It was perfect. It was a bit pricey, but everything was really top notch so I didn’t mind paying for the quality of food and drinks!

    Our dinner date was absolutely amazing and though it was raining on this day, we couldn’t pick a better place to eat. The food was amazing and quite exquisite. We had shareable options and it was literally the perfect portion for our satisfied stomachs. Me and my wife enjoyed it very much. Love the ambiance and the vibe. A must try!!!

    I ordered the Orchard salad, which was delish. No complaints about that! However the skirt stake was unbelievably overpriced. $39 for a sliver of beef, rest potatoes and scrambled eggs. Ridiculous! The coffee was cold. And the bread pudding was egg and got me sick. It is safe to say that I will not return.

PLEASE NOTE: It's $29, NOT $39 for 2 Chino Valley Farm eggs, 7 ounces of marinated skirt steak and house potatoes. Our bread pudding is a custard base, which does contain eggs and we are sorry to hear it was not for you and that your coffee was cold.     Great menu and decor, but having the glass wall open in January makes for a very chilly dining experience… keep it closed until summer, please!

    I specifically brought my friend to Gabi James for her birthday because she once lived in Spain. She has raved about Tortilla Espanola and I knew it was on the menu, so I thought it would be a special treat for her. It turned out to be hardly at all like she remembered from Spain (and not as yummy as I had remembered from my only previous visit). That being said, we enjoyed everything else we had (the charred asparagus was good, the Gambas Al Ajillo was great, and the state fair churros were fabulous ~ which my friend said she'd come back for any time!!!) Our server was very pleasant and efficient. Other than the room being a bit chilly, it was a lovely meal overall.

    The food was really good, with the exception of the paella which was dry and lacked flavor especially saffron. I wouldn’t order that again. But the salad and patata tortilla was wonderful. Also the other food I saw going by was also wonderful looking. The service was impeccable.

    We shared Paella meal and bread. The rice dry and tasteless, squid was raw with only 3 shrimp and no clams or muscles at all. The chorizo was tidbits that were not tasty. The bread was expensive and just dry toast with a little garlic flavor. On the other hand the staff was great and house wine was very good. We wanted this to be a new spot and we may even try it again. Everyone has a bad night or makes a bad meal at times.

    We had a nice table and we were greeted promptly. The chips they brought to the table were so good..We ordered cocktails which were good. We ordered several dishes to share… *The South Bay Caesar was so-so. The dressing really lacked flavor. The crunchy (cheese “croutons”?) were yummy. *The blue cheese dates were good but nothing spectacular. *The shrimp with garlic was very good, it came with some bread. * The turkey meatballs were so dry. The sauce was okay. * The Pan con tomate was very delicious. We added the manchego. Worth it. *The Brussels sprouts were also good. Nice and crispy. ****The dessert, “churro” with chocolate sauce, was absolutely horrible. Over cooked, sour tasting dough. Chocolate sauce didn’t help at all. The service was very good. Everyone was attentive and friendly.

    The food was generally excellent -- especially the tortilla espanola, the pork chop, and the oxtail. The oxtail in particular was perfectly prepared and seasoned. The tuna tartare was almost flavorless, and the cheese board was a bit tired. Drinks from the bar were outstanding -- bartender knows how to nail a lemon drop. Service was friendly, but very slow -- eventually, we had to go to the hostess stand to have our server brought over. This might have been because they were down servers, like so many restaurants these days, but it was annoying. This is great Spanish food in a great location. If you don't mind uneven service, I do recommend.
