Goose Island Brew House - Toronto
Nice location. Great beer. My burger was quite good. Service ok
It was rammed because of the raptors game, but the beer and food were excellent as always. The beef cheek sandwich was amazing. French onion soup could have used more broth, though.
Great food and even better beer
This was not my first visit to Goose Island and therefore I obviously consider it to be worthwhile. There were two of us. My guest's meal, , was pretty good and very generous. I had the fish and frites which unfortunately were mediocre - fried at too low a temperature making a crispy batter on the outside but the fish was undercooked. Not great. The different beers are always fun to try and overall the environment is pleasant and interesting. Usually a great place to eat before a Leafs game - which was our reason for being there. Only other thing is we had made a reservation (through Open Table), noted that to the person who greeted us, noted our names were on the reservation sheet and yet the next day I was notified by Open Table that we had failed to appear for our reservation. That was sort out with Open Table but obviously the restaurant's book keeping could be better. Regardless I will give Goose Island another chance.
Went a little before 5PM on a weekday. Great rustoc ambience. Food was delicious. Solid beers!
Great food and fair prices. Friendly service although it can be slow to start. Great ambiance.
Confusing as to which side to sit on Biet Market or the Goose Island Brewery side. Great beer however from the actual Hoose Island Brewery. Manager was accommodating when we complained about this confusion.
Food was good, service was great. The only issue is that upon arrival they stated that they don’t take reservations for the patio, which is how I made the reservation. Luckily they had space, otherwise could have been a problem.
We chose their small plates and they were all wonderful! They have a great assortment of items for you to try! Their beer was very nice!
A nice addition to the Toronto gastro-pub scene. Casual atmosphere and an eclectic ‘share’ menu are very appealing upsides.
I should have been told when I reserved the table that the brewery was closed for a private event. Instead there was an empty back corner outside the brewery where we were put. The pizza was more of a mediocre flatbread. The beer on special was $15 - which caught us off guard.
I don't think I'll go back. I so badly want this place to be good, and I've tried it a couple times now, but it's just not.
We booked fairly last minute (3 hrs prior to dining) and were exceptionally pleased with our experience! I had called the restaurant ahead of time to inquire about placing us near a tv to watch the basketball game and they were able to accommodate our request. We had the perfect spot! The service was absolutely exceptional and actually made our night! Our server was very personable, fun, and prompt with getting us what we required (sometimes seconds after we had made a request). The overall vibe of the restaurant was perfect for a chill but fun Friday night. We will definitely be returning and recommend to our friends!
Great beer, satisfying dinner, and fast and courteous service. Wish we could have stayed even longer to try more of the great selection of interesting beers.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is lively, interesting, and full of positive energy. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable. I tried the flight of four beers and this was a great intro to Goose Island. The brewhouse burger was absolutely delicious cooked properly and served with beer battered onion rings: delicious.
Solid all around, it is connected to Bier Markt which is all newly renovated. Good place to be before going to the ACC.
