Great looking restaurant in a good location. The food was unbelievable. Our waiter Stefano took the time to explain everything in detail and he was fantastic the entire evening. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Amazing evening.
Sean and his team took great care of my wife and I! The service and the food were top notch!
The food was excellent and the service was terrific. We will be back.
Everything about our visit was fantastic. We had great wait staff and great food. We will go back soon.
Amazing food and super friendly, knowledgeable staff, great ambience.
From the time we entered to leaving the restaurant, I felt I was being treated like royalty. Every staff person was invested in the role to host my wife and I to a truly wonderful evening WITHOUT being intrusive. We had the "pasta flite" which consisted of 1/3 portion of three pastas. It was absolutely incredibly delicious. I can go on and on about the appetizer and desert but want you to try it yourself. We plan to return within the week with an out of town guest to allow him to try our new find.
We've been here several times and enjoyed this restaurant, but it will be a while before we return, if at all. The food was extremely overpriced for the quality of the dishes and the quality of service. We sat at the bar and generally received pompous interactions, if we received any at all. The beef tartar was drowning in sauce and the burrata toast was poorly executed with no seasoning. The short rib pasta was completely unseasoned - we asked for salt and I would've expected in a restaurant like this that if asking for salt, the server/bartender would make sure that the food was up to par, but no one asked if we were enjoying the food. The pasta noodles themselves were too chewy and too thick, though I have always felt this way about White Bull's pasta.
I just went to brunch at the White Bull for the first time after living in Atlanta for over a year, and I will definitely be coming back! I ordered the egg in a hole croissant and my boyfriend had the sweet potato hash. Both were delicious! The best part, though, may have been the surprise pastries that we were served as an appetizer. They were just made in the morning and were to die for. I highly recommend the White Bull for brunch, but I also can’t wait to come back and try out their dinner menu!
This was my first experience at White Bull and I really don't have a negative thing to say about the place. Tasteful decor and the wide open floorplan makes the place feel vibrant and alive. We ordered a couple appetizers, a pasta dish, and one entree to split between 2 people. This ended up being more than enough food, despite the appetizers and pasta dish being served as smaller portions. White Bull is pricey, but you get what you pay for. The fresh and creative food will have us coming back again.
Everything was fantastic! Can’t wait to return!! Ryan made sure we had a great experience.
The White Bull is a gem from the moment you walk in - cozy yet modern ambiance, overall a very trendy restaurant. The menu consists of dishes that change often and contain locally sourced ingredients. Our server was extremely knowledgable of the menu and drinks and provided wonderful selections from appetizers through dessert in the form of rosemary limoncello.
It's as casual or formal as you would like to make it, the noise level is not too loud, but also not too awkwardly quiet, the staff was generous and welcoming and the food was creative and delicious - so were the drinks!
I can't wait to come back and take some friends to try this place out!
White Bull is really firing on all cylinders. The physical setup is really nice - great looking, a lot of energy and lively without being obnoxious/too loud. The food is absolutely amazing and they are giving Kimball/Leon’s a run on cocktails. I was really impressed with the knowledge of the food and wine that our server had and backed it all up with being attentive but good balance in keeping from checking in too much or being too smart/braggy about the food.
So delicious! Some of the best food I’ve had in a while.
Food was delish. Atmosphere was energized. Tables were pretty close together. Servers had great personalities, but food service was rather slow.
Small, intimate, great drinks and great food.
We had a lovely dinner celebrating our anniversary- the staff went above and beyond and even gave us a Happy Anniversary card! We each had a homemade pasta dish and it was delicious. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful food. Exceptional service. Great all around experience as usual. We have dined here several times, and each time the owner has taken a personal interest in making sure our time was excellent. This last occasion was no different. Highly recommend to anyone looking for good food, drinks, and atmosphere.
This is my FAVORITE new restaurant. Chef Pat has an extraordinary talent for fabulous flavor combination that are so well balanced and subtle. It is a gastronomical delight for foodies and the staff is exceptional.
What a wonderful surprise. The menue was so different and everything was excellent.
We definitely recommend White Bull to everyone .
This was my 6th visit and I always bring a first timer with me! The food is amazing, the service unparalleled and the ambiance is warm and inviting. Alexandra is one of the best in Atlanta!
Great, inventive cocktails. Wide variety of excellent house-made pastas. Attentive, thoughtful service.
Went here with friends--group of 6. Service was slow, but our server (wonderful, smart and engaging) comped the bread (which is extra) . We all ordered entree dishes. Everything was delicious, but we all left still hungry. Portions are small. My Black orichiette dish was superb, but really an appetizer portion. The chicken, fish and beef dishes list ingredients that come with them--but in the end--they are garnishes.
Overall, 4 of the 6 of us enjoyed it. The other 2--not so sure. It's more expensive than most restaurants in Decatur. Leaving hungry is never an incentive to return. Note to restauranteurs: Enough with telling diners you are farm to table. It's now expected--especially when you list farms you work with on the menu. It's overselling.
Best of luck to this restaurant.
I love one page menus so the simple menu featuring local produce and protein gave me a thrill. I loved the added touch of the list of farms the restaurant procures their items from, made me feel like I was truly getting a local experience. The appetizer of toast with nduja was interesting and a tasty contrast of savory and sweet. We got the pasture raised chicken from White Oaks Pastures and Mahi Mahi with root veggies. The flavors were great but I had to drink a whole lot of water to cleanse my palate from the salt at the end of my meal. My only suggestion would be to have a lighter hand with the seasoning. When you have local, fresh ingredients like the ones featured on the menu only a little bit of seasoning is needed to bring out the flavors. I also enjoyed my pisco sour that was decorated with an edible flower.
This was our first time trying White Bull after several recommendations. We arrived a few minutes early but were promptly seated. Staff was friendly and attentive from beginning to end. Wine list appropriately sized with good variety but not overwhelming. Carne Cruda and Fried Oyster/Deviled Egg appetizers were delicious and appetizer/tapas size. We got 2 pastas as our entrees and both tasted very good even though one (tortelli goat cheese) had cooled off a little while obviously waiting on the other (mezzaluna chicken liver). When all is said and done, we’ll be heading back to try out more items on the menu.
Thank you to Pat, Sean and Stefan for making my family so welcome and giving us an unforgettable evening on Friday October 12th. They really made us feel special. The food was great and I felt very proud to bring some of my out-of-town loved ones (my Mom and sister) to what is definitely a great new dining destination in Decatur
Thanks to open table for recommending a farm to table restaurant. Excellent menu with brilliant combinations of exquisite food.
Awesome cocktails (Although be ready to pay at around $15). Food was interesting but not as polished as it could’ve been. Some additions felt more experimental a van on point. Would give it another try and love the cocktails
This was the best new restaurant experience that I have had in Atlanta in a very long time. I would return happily.
Awesome experience. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was awesome. Also very affordable. Pretty décor as well. Highly recommend.
Food and cocktails were top-notch. We had great service at the bar, but once we moved to a table, I had to flag down waitstaff after no one had come over to the table for 10 minutes—our water glasses were even still empty! That’s not acceptable at a place like this. Fortunately, the subsequent service (I guess once they figured out who was supposed to be taking care of us!) was good. Wait for food was a tad lengthy. Definitely try the black spaghetti, fried oysters and the papardelle. Amazing.
Great location in downtown Decatur. Could easily stop in for dinner after you finish your drinks next door. Food was delicious. Our waitress was a little over the top. I think she thought she was being funny - but she came across as pushy and slightly rude. The inside has very tall ceilings - industrial - with exposed brick walls. Very cool...but Very Loud!
Overall, fun night. Enjoyed the food...which is why we were there in the first place. Chef marked up a menu for one of the guests in our dinner party to let her know which options were gluten free. Definitely tried to accommodate her! Thank you!
Amazing food - everything we’ve ever ordered here has been absolutely delicious! The service is excellent and of course the location on the Square in Decatur can’t be beat! Such a treat to go there - highly recommend!
We've been wanting to try White Bull ever since walking past it the other week because it looks so cute. It's a very beautiful and inviting space, but after dining there, I think how it looks might be it's most positive attribute. We were told how they mill their own flour, which is very cool in a nerdy way, but it made for an interesting pasta texture which was not the best. Outside of the food texture issue, our pasta course also took 40 minutes to get to us. Knowing fresh pasta is one of the quickest things to cook, that was puzzling/annoying. Also a lack of attention to drink needs - refilling of wine and water glasses did not happen.
Having enjoyed my first dining experience at White Bull, I brought a foodie friend from out of town for dinner. The pastas are made in-house, and both times were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The portions aren't huge, so you can have a starter (or share a few) and enjoy different dishes and not feel stuffed. The homemade bread "Bread and Butter" starter is divine. My friend pronounced the trout to be exquisite - it was delicate, perfectly cooked with crispy skin. We also had a beef ragout and pasta, which was also rich and delicious, but not too heavy. The flavors melded perfectly. They have a nice wine list that pairs well with the menu offerings, and a nice desesert menu. We'll be going back!
Very pleased with this first meal at White Bull. Service was great and all dishes shined. It's a little too loud right now, so I hope they can address that by adding some soft surfaces.
Stephano the waiter was great and guided us thru our dining experience. The pumpkin fondina was exceptional. Many thanks for the serving of the pig head
Great food and service. But WAY too loud!
You HAVE to add some buffers. The acoustics are off the chain. None of us could hear each other well which made conversation very difficult .
We are NOT old either!
For this reason, I will not return as there are so many great restaurants in Decatur/Atlanta that have a more gentle atmosphere and great food/service.
Im bummed about that!
Delicious farm to table food. Excellent service. Parking is difficult.
Very good and well cooked locally produced food, excellent service and a cosy atmosphere.
