In 2018, Florida-based Centurion Restaurant Group announced that its popular tapas restaurant, Bulla Gastrobar, has opened its first Texas location. The rapidly expanding concept is located at 6007 Legacy Dr., Suite 180 in Plano’s thriving Legacy West district.

Authentic Spanish tapas featuring culturally rich ingredients and imaginative cocktails are served in a lively, social setting, complete with a beautifully appointed gather-around bar, main dining area, private dining room, and outdoor terrace.

This place was a bust. We were there to celebrate my husbands birthday and were very disappointed. We ordered many small plates, 2 of them never came, the tuna tartare was ok and the patatas bravas were pretty yummy. The grilled steak was pretty gross, it comes swimming in an insipid mushroom sauce the temperature was wrong and the steak was chewy. The grilled octopus was good but then they also had is swimming in a too sweet corn pure. The montaditos also had a very sweet bbq sauce on them that they tried to call a tomato marmalade. We also ordered the paella mixta which was ok, a bit greasy and soupy for paella but taste was ok. Our server also forgot a second set of drinks and they left dirty dishes on our table throughout the meal. Overall for the price point and the spot you are better off at other restaurants in the area.

My sister-in-law and my salmon and spinach were way too garlicy, we couldn’t eat it. Our salad was also overseasoned and there was too much dressing so we couldn’t eat that either. My nephew’s peppers were too spicy for him so he couldn’t finish them. The toys level was pretty high, a bit hard to hear each other talk.

Tammy was a wonderful server. Timed our tapas perfectly so we had time to enjoy each one and not be rushed with our dining experience. Delicious food options and great wine selections. The patio was a perfect spot to people watch and enjoy our meal.

Two of us shared three small plates, plus a bottle of Txakolina. Food, wine and service were excellent!

We have dinned at Bulla many times. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has steadily declined. We ordered tapas and seafood paella. It was very busy, but we received the paellla before we received all of our tapas. We cancelled one of the tapas order and had to remind the waitress that we were missing a tapas. The seafood paella was not good. The prawns were not deveined so we did not eat them. The rest of the seafood did not taste fresh to the point I had to spit out one of the clams. I told the waitress to tell her manager to check the seafood because it did nit taste fresh. She did not inform the manager and he/she never came to our table. Our bill was $180 and, despite the service, I tipped 20 percent. There are too many other dinning options at and around Legacy East to spend that much in a substandard dinning experience. Despite it being on of our favorites, we will probably not be back.

The restaurant has a neat vibe! You feel transported to another country. The menu offers a large selection. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the stuff dates were superior to all! The layered chocolate cake description was misleading for what you receive at the table, but it was still divine! Some portions are a bit pricey for what you get, but nothing too outrageous! We will definitely return!

First time visit and will definitely be back!!! Great pick two for $17 let us sample multiple plates. We ordered the fried artichokes to start…they were outstanding. The gazpacho was sublime. Ham croquetas perfectly done paired with a fig dipping sauce. Coconut flan with passion fruit sorbet was a great way to end our lunch. Service was attentive but unhurried so we could enjoy the various small plates as they came out. Lovely ambiance and background music set the mood allowing for quiet conversation. Felt like a mini vacation.

Our dinning experience was wonderful for our 41st anniversary celebration. The waitress was very helpful in choosing tapas to match our food choices. The chicken paella was on the bland side and had very little chicken in it. The tapas were very good. We really appreciate dessert and thoughtful card.

The service was very bad . It took our server forever to bring our coffe that was cold and the rest of our food .quality was bad . I’m so disappointed

My mom and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Bulla for our first visit. Our server, Josh, was extremely friendly and helpful. He gave us fantastic recommendations on both food and drink, and nothing disappointed. It was all scrumptious. There was a minor issue with an item we ordered being unavailable and the manager came over to apologize and she very generously compensated us by comping another item. Needless the say, the service was top notch as was the food and we cannot wait to return.
