It is a great restaurant everyone is super nice and friendly and bend over backwards to accommodate
Very impressed by Novita. The food was outstanding, the service was prompt and professional and the vibe hit the mark. The whole family loved the experience and a week later I'm still thinking about the squid ink spaghetti. Forget about it. Well done!
Amazing, fresh food as always!! Some of my favorite pasta and I have travelled all over! Get the gnocchi and tiramisu!
Fabulous all round - food , service, atmosphere
Food was unbelievable. Service was fantastic and we can’t wait to go again. We ordered the goat cheese and beef carpaccio to start. They split it for us in the kitchen which was perfect. The Gramigna Alla Carbonara was the best pasta I’ve ever had! A must go in NYC.
Everything about the restaurant is great especially the staff which aim to please and make everyone feel so welcome in their home. It has become our go to local restaurant as we always have a great time.
Excellent food, menu and attentive service. Was not too helpful in accommodating seating requested ( side by side), even though it was readily available. Would hesitate to bring date, again.
Beautiful decor. A bit ignored on entry as staff chatting but then greeted. Our reservation had been used by someone else - odd?- but they said they could seat us? No apology.
Bread delicious, wine by glass good, red snapper excellent, salad mixta very average - mushy tomatoes. Waiter attentive. The whole time I felt patronized as if they were cool and we were tolerated. Not sure if that’s the best way to treat paying customers.
The food, service and ambiance was fantastic
We order the pasta truffle special and all I can say was it was superb
Really cute spot for great Italian food! Would definitely recommend!
This is an italian resturant that should be tried. We have always had a good dinner here. The service, food & setting is one of the best secrets in Gramercy for the last 20 years. Worth trying
We dined there on New Year's Eve and the place was packed. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. We are going back tonight!
Great food, felt abandoned since we were dining out doors, and the indoor new years eve celebration was on. Outdoors, no music and struggled to get waiter’s attention at first. In the end, a very tasty dinner!
Excellent food and very hospitable and attentive service.
Yes it was New Years Eve, but it was 5:00 in the late afternoon. We were the first to arrive and the kitchen was not open! The service although friendly was poor and inattentive based on the loud group of the owner’s friend just hanging out and blocking the entrance/ exit. I also like my food delivered hot and not just the plate.
Everything was great as always!
This restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always wonderful, I had the tuna tartar and the roasted artichokes last night. My friend had the gnocchi. It was all delicious. Aside from the food the service and staff are always amazing. Love it here.
Great ambiance. Good food.
staff very nice. food was terrific
Exceptional service and food
Such a great place.. you feel like you’re in someone’s h home.. so welcome and so delicious!
Birthday dinner! Good food!
We love going here... food is great... staff is welcoming and engaging.... never rushing us.... one of our favorite places to go
Lunch excellent but disappointed in the profiteroles desert. The puffs were stale and hard chocolate sauce not hot fudge.
The service was excellent and the food fantastic. Would highly recommend the gnocchi- all pasta home made.
In the seven years we’ve been going to Novita it’s never been less than outstanding.
Great flavorful food. Friendly and efficient but unobtrusive service.
Great service and delicious food
We had a wonderful dining experience. Service and food were top notch.
Delicious food and service was great.
Very pleased to have dined there!
I have been coming frequently for more than ten years. My experience has generally been very good. Not so this time. I felt very much ignored. The restaurant was super crowded (good for them!). We had to flag down a server several times. The tables around us get complimentary desserts. We got nothing, not even the customary biscotti with our coffee. Perhaps this was an off night. I will try going back to see if this is so.
This was my second time dining here and it was as good as the first. Our table wasn't ready at our reservation time, but they graciously offered us a glass of prosecco while we waited. One of the specials was squash blossoms, which were absolutely delicious. Each of us had a different pasta-and all of them were perfectly cooked-perfectly al dente. It's like a little trip to Italy on the East Side. Bravissimo.
It’s our place. We love it!
Price increases were very apparent especially the price of the wine.
Love the food!
Wonderful food prepared with the palate in mind. Have been coming here for so many years and never had a bad meal. I recommend it to whoever likes Italian food in a heartbeat. In my mind it is the best Italian restaurant in NYC.
Quality food, service and atmosphere. We were treated as special guests from the minute we entered. Thank you to our gracious host!!!
Restaurant was very crowded. Tables were very close together and they barely gave our vaccine info a glance which gives me pause. The food was good but service was very slow and indifferent.
I have been to Novita several times and I think with the expansion of outside dining, the quality of the food has suffered. Sat in a small room behind reception/bar are... no ambiance and crowded. Took a long time to even get a drink. Tables are closer together in main dining room. Novita is capitalizing on the pandemic and has stretched their kitchen to serve more patrons..... but food has suffered.
Wonderful people, amazing pasta, can’t wait to go back.
As always Novita continues to be outstanding from a great meal to outstanding service. This is why I continue to return and to bring friends to.
