Really good ambience , food was delicious, service good.
We would have dinner there again .
We really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was outstanding along with the service.
Literally the best dining experience we had in NOLA! We liked it better than Commanders Palace even!
We were in the “kitchen” so it was a bit noisy but very energetic. We sat at the counter watching the chefs cook. It was a fun place for 2 people. The wait service was excellent as the food always is. Enjoyed it throughly!
This was our 4th visit to Revolution,we have never been disappointed. The food is outstanding and the service is wonderful. When we are in New Orleans, we always look forward to dining there.
Yearly Christmas dinner with friends. Steve the wine steward was fabulous. His 2 suggestions were excellent
My third time at Revolution was NOT a charm. Our table was in awkward spot near the kitchen door, it was exceedingly loud and congested, our waiter was AWFUL! He tried hard enough but was woefully under trained and over his head in a restaurant of your stature. I bought two bottles of nice wire in the $100/bottle range and he simply “dumped” our glasses full without regard to the pace of our dinner or our appetite for measured consumption. The gumbo fell far far short of my prior experiences and thus my expectations. Overall, off my list of “where to eat” recommdations to friends yet to visit NOLA. I was highly disappointed...
I thought the food was fair and overpriced.
Great atmosphere and good service
Service was awful
Waiter was overwhelmed
Had to ask fir water several times
Forgot my coffee
Biscuits were later than meal
It was my very first time in New Orleans. I came here for my birthday dinner. Our waiter DeShawn was amazing, kind and very helpful! He didn't hover over us but was there when we needed him. Overall, great experience both the food and ambiance!
Fantastic experience, my wife & i were very pleased.
We were staying at the Royal Sonesta and saved Stayed at Royal Sonesta and saved this restaurant for our last night in NOLA. It was outstanding in every way. Loved the casual elegance and creativity. Food, service and ambiance everything one could hope for!
We reserved a table for 6, but changed to 8 and they quickly accommodated us. Service was exceptional and the food was very good. No complaints or concerns.
Great friendly service, nice atmosphere and some unique meal selections.
All four of us ordered something different and sampled each others dish - all were excellent.
My rack of lamb was huge and it was cooked perfectly - medium-rare.
Quite an extensive wine list as well.
There are good restaurants an there are great ones - and R’evolution is one of the great ones. The food is fabulous (if the “Death by Gumbo “ wasn’t on the menu, the seafood gumbo would be famous), the service friendly and flawless, and you can comfortably hold a conversation in the spacious seating of the main dining room. To make it even better, the restaurant is run to be both top notch and to feel casually gracious, like dining with old friends at their home. New Orleans has lots of good restaurants, but only a couple of places you really should not miss. R’evolution is one of the rare ones you should not miss.
The food was awesome! Excellent service! It was very quiet in there like no music which I wish there was. But overall we had a great time
Great food, great atmosphere, excellent service! One of best dining experiences we've had in a long time.
I thought the food and service were excellent. We were there early but that was our choice. I carefully read other reviews about no table clothes and complaints about service. We had excellent service and a tablecloth. It was expensive and the corkage fee was outrageous. Otherwise it was a memorable experience.
The reviews didn’t lie it was 5 stars! The food was great and my husband had one of the best steaks ever - will be back.
Excellent food and service.
It was a nice place to spend our anniversary
Very good experience, my friends and I enjoyed the dinner very much. We’ll definitely visit again!
Celebrated my sons 25th Birthday here and it did not disappoint. Everything was amazing just as I had heard and read about. Thank you for a memorable evening!!!
Great service, nice atmosphere, interesting and delicious food. I actually do not recommend the crab beignets, they were a bit greasy and kind of bland. The prosciutto appetizer was good, the asparagus was amazing, and the delmonico steak was incredibly good. The gnocchi was good, but the portion was a bit small. Wine list was incredible and the bottle we had was very nice. I cannot say enough good things about the service, it was truly exceptional.
Unable to get a table when we arrived on Thanksgiving night, we tried again the following night and were glad that we did. Have been there in the past for Sunday Jazz Brunch that was also wonderful.
The food was great. The wait staff made the experience even more excellent!
It is a beautiful restaurant, connected to a historical hotel, right off Bourbon Street, but away from noise. Good ambience. However, options offered for TG day meal were not great. Also, could have been much better food and options for the price. We enjoyed out corner seating for two. Service was excellent. Presentation and taste missed it. Disappointing to us for our first TG alone and away.
We went for Thanksgiving meal and was so disappointed. Ham was dry, overcooked and fatty. I would have been embarrassed to serve something like this dish at my own house. Worst meal I've ever had in NOLA.
I’m a groupie, Chef Folse is the best. As a native New Orleanian, his sheep lobster gnocchi is my favorite dish in the entire city.
Fantastic experience all the way around!!!
Fantastic food, great service. The sheep ricotta with lobster was extremely delicious, and rich. Death by gumbo a marvelous taste sensation and very creatively prepared. The turtle soup. if you're expecting traditional, don't order it. It has a lot of turtle meat, but the broth is flavored with nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves and finished in the kitchen with madeira rather then sherry. Very unique flavor. Seared Scallops perfectly done. The only downside is a high $50 corkage fee. We brought an upscale bottle that made it worthwhile, but still it rankled a bit.
This restaurant was the best! My daughters and I celebrated our Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday night. the food, service, ambiance, was over the top. Great Food, Great Wine, happy family
I was expecting a bit more of a unique menu. There are pate's and cavier, but that seems old school in todays foodie market. The experience was good, but not to die for. We had the tomahawk and that was yummy. There oysters fire grilled were not good. The beignets were fabulous.
Our food experience at R’evolution was outstanding. From start to finish, everything we enjoyed was fresh, beautifully prepared and delicious. Our waiter was a gem - gracious and very helpful the in helping us with our selections. We ♥️R’evolution!
This is now #1 on my list of NOLA restaurants. Service was impeccable. Thank you, Travis. Garden salad and roasted beet salads were wonderful. Death by Gumbo was amazing: whole quail stuffed with andouille sausage in a large bowl, then they add the broth. Cut up the quail and mix it up. WOW. Beer battered crab beignets were perfection. Roasted Brussells sprouts were excellent. Seared scallops with foie gras... yum! The deconstructed sweet potato pie was a winner. Oh my god, it was amazing. Make a reservation right now, and have the BEST meal of your life.
Our annual trip to New Orleans always includes dinner here. This is the best restaurant we have ever been to.
OMG. Easily the best brunch we have ever had. The crab beignets were fantastic. The short ribs poached egg skillet was probably the best egg dish I have ever had. Looking forward to going for dinner on another visit. Just devine.
