5 star! Visiting from New England - everything was great. Highly recommend.
Went there with my wife to have a nice dinner. Was recommended by Open Table and we understand why. Its an excellent ‘secret gem’ within the NOLA dining scene. A wonderful place to enjoy food as it was intended to be served. Fresh, well prepared snd perfectly presented
Off the beaten path, Excellent service. Food was excellent as well. Smaller restaurant-12 tables which is a positive. Bar area has availability for walk ins. Will definitely be back!
We are in town for Jazzfest. We come every 2-3 years and pick restaurants at night. This was a new one for us. The food did not WOW us. Usually, we are blown away by the many good choices but at the same time, we were not disappointed. The fish was good. So were the scalps but the portion size was small. 3 scalps for $36 was a bit pricey. Not a bad meal, just not "outstanding".
We were in town for Jazzfest and was lucky enough to get a recommendation to go here from a local. He said it would be one of the best meals we would ever have and he was spot on. It was FANTASTIC!!! He recommended we try the gumbo as it is served scalding hot in a witches pot. I'm not a huge gumbo fan but this was amazing. I was literally scraping the bowl at the end to get the last morsel of rice. I had a steak for dinner and this too was amazing. Can't recommend enough.
Excellent food. Very good service though cocktails came after we got our appetizers. We will certainly go back.
We were sure at first if we would like the food. But honestly it was great. Everything we ate was superb. The Caesar salad, duck, quail are not to be missed. We will be back on our next trip through NOLA
Food was delicious. Oyster and starter, seafood stew yum! Redfish awesome!
Sat at the bar with my wife and had dinner. Food was outstanding, especially the gumbo. Dishes were creative. Had the duck and chicken entrees. No room for dessert. Our bartender/waiter Giuseppe was very interesting. Enjoyed his service.
Dishes were original and tasty, especially Death by Gumbo was so good. They kindly served us a special anniversary plate with desserts. Great NOLA restaurant!
Excellent meal, would have been 5 stars for everything, but my steak was a bit over cooked. Was still delicious. I will come back on my next visit for sure.
Food was excellent, served piping hot. Kitchen was a bit busy so service was a little slow but still great. Would go back again anytime.
The eggplant wrapped shrimp ball and the fried oysters on pasta were delicious. The main courses on the menu were heavy on meat choices, if that's what you want. Overall it seems to be a very good restaurant.
Delicious! Great service and food!
First time here. Unexpectedly surprised. Despite entertaining a large Jazzfest crowd, the service and attention we received was great. Our server, John, made several nice food recommendations, which we thoroughly enjoyed----ribeye,carpaccio,salad & desert. We will go back under more normal circumstances to enjoy some more.
Fabulous food and service. A great dining experience.
We ordered the quail appetizer with foie gras and it was just ok not great. The foie gras was mixed into the rice stuffing so that you couldn’t really taste it. Other entrees were fine but in a city where food is a main attraction this was a lack luster experience.
I am really good at find holes in the wall with amazing food and atmosphere. That being said, Restaurant Rebirth is one of the best I’ve ever been to. From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but once you walk in, it is cozy and beautiful! The service was excellent and the food even better! I had a craft beer., but they had a great selection of wines and full bar choices. I had the blackened scallops, which was super yummy! My husband loves the seafood dinner and gumbo that can with it. I had the creme brûlée of the day. It was heavenly! I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.
There is an emphasis on local farm to table cuisine and it was delicious. I had the mahi and it was beautifully done with a grilled vegetable selection. I had a “Tom” Collins made with watermelon vodka and it was very light and fresh. The restaurant is in a revitalizing warehouse district. We walked and it was a little deserted for a few blocks when we walked back, but we didn’t’ feel nervous. There is a busy street one block down. I’m sure this area will soon have more restaurants, etc.
We had an amazing dinner experience at Rebirth! The drinks ordered at the bar were outstanding and the food...oh the food... was unforgetable! We had the pork belly as an appetizer and the cut of the day, which was lamb, as the main entreé with fried okra and vegetable saute on the side.
Staff was friendly, had great suggestions and could explain us every dish on the menu we had any doubt.
My partner and I are big foodies who love to travel for good food and dining experiences. Restaurant Rebirth meets and exceeds fine dining standards.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted pleasantly and professionally. We arrived early for our reservations (I recommend making reservations), and we were able to be seated shortly after arriving.
The gumbo du jour was incredible. It was properly prepared and had a rich and full flavor with a slight lingering kick served in little cast iron cauldrons.
The Mississippi style BBQ pork belly starter was absolutely top notch, and I would recommend this to everyone. It's the best I've ever had.
The double-cut Tomahawk pork chop entrée was also incredible. It was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. The portion size was huge (approximately 22 oz). It was definitely a great value.
The Gulf Seafood Al Ajillo entrée was good. It was the weakest of the four dishes we tried, but we still enjoyed it. It's a great sampler of New Orleans' seafood.
Also, the cornbread was a nice surprise, and I wanted to note it because it was perfect.
The service was incredible. It's exactly what you would expect and hope for at a fine dining or upscale farm-to-table restaurant. The chef was phenomenal. With expert preparation and timing, our dining experience was seamless.
I will definitely return whenever I visit again. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
Wonderful food and drink. A foodie paradise. Appetizers was fried oyster on angel hair pasta with a mushroom umami sauce. Wow. Main course best duck ever. Full of flabmvir, texture, and the whole pare worked. Made m
Delicious gumbo; phenomenal meat cuts, especially the lamb. They take their time, but is worth it!
We were there for an early dinner on a Friday night. Great atmosphere and very good food. We will be back.
We have eaten in many places all over the world the food here was one of the best meals we have ever had! Keep up the great work We will be back!
The food was great, the service was great, the only thing that wasn't great is it is a small place, and getting a table is difficult, deff make reservations. Food was awesome.
Food was absolutely incredible, every appetizer and every morsel of food. The reason I wouldn't go back the next 3 nights-we wanted to, the food was so good-is that there was an interminable wait. We were there for 2.5 hours, most of it waiting and waiting. The staff and owner were apologetic, and even comped us a dessert. Make no mistake, the food is world class, and I will go back there when I'm in N.O. again.........
We had a great evening with very friendly service and excellent dinner. I can really recommend this restaurant.
You cannot deny good food and Rebirth has excellent food. The dinner experience was horrible due to my waiter. He forgot about every quest we made before returning to the table empty hand. This means his focus was elsewhere which totally ruined my first visit to this restaurant. I’m going to try it again but I’m definitely requesting a different waiter.
Love Love Love this place. We stumbled on it a few years ago and return every time we come back to the city. The staff is friendly and extremely accommodating. We can’t eat it all, so we get all the apps and eat Tapas style. Love the creative dishes. Visitors typical think of New Orleans cuisine as fried everything but Rebirth debunks that myth. We took first time visitors here and they loved the oysters over angel hair pasta and Japanese eggplant wrapped shrimp.
Exceptional and filling meal for two from appetizers, soup, and dessert. Went with three appetizers - eggplant stuffed shrimp, barbecued pork belly, oysters and pasta along with the gumbo and New England clam chowder. All were exceptional. Bread pudding for dessert was amazing. Generous portions.
Phenomenal! Pork belly is out of this world, and the gumbo is soooo good. Service is excellent!
Best Gumbo in the city.
I have been excited to try this restaurant for months. I'm not sure if there was a problem in the kitchen the night we went, but our dinner took 3 hours (only a few at our table got two courses - most just ordered an entrée). The food was all very good once it came out. The wait staff wasn't very attentive to our wait time or needs. For this price point, I was disappointed with the service and atmosphere.
This was an anniversary dinner for 3 couples and everyone was impressed with the entire evening. Looking forward to our next visit
Very pleasant and unique place to go in the Warehouse District. Menu and specialty New Orleans cocktails are great.
Food and service was outstanding. Alex was a great waiter, steering us in the right direction throughout the meal. Highly recommended.
Food and service were equally great. Waiter recommendations were spot on. Filet was one of the best I have ever had, literally melt in your mouth with a perfect outside crust.
Not inexpensive, but worth the price for a great meal.
