We had Sunday brunch on the patio- just a lovely day. The smoked salmon eggs benedict was delicious and satisfying. The service was friendly and attentive. Perfect way to end our weekend in Santa Fe!
Very nice atmosphere with a wonderful covered patio. The food is always very good.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful dining patio as well.
This restaurant is always awesome, but we weren't aware of the beautiful patio. Just an added bonus to a delicious meal!
Thank you for the evening, One of the BEST!
the food was great the ambiance relaxed but the service left a lot to be desired - the restaurant was not busy so there really was no excuse for the lack of attentiveness
Good food and service but questionable value. Look carefully at the ingredients
In each dish.
We split a sandwich that was very big. This summer, the restaurant offered a very good sandwich/soup combination at lunchtime that was a good value. That seems to have gone off the menu. I think it would encourage more local diners to come for lunch if that were put back on the menu.
I have eaten here before for dinner and loved the creativity of the menu. I took a foodie friend from Philly here for lunch, and we have to say, we were disappointed. They have a limited menu but it is nice to sit outside on the patio. We both had sandwiches, and while they were well presented with great accompaniments, the meat in both of our sandwiches (brisket and chicken) was dry, tough and overcooked. A big difference from the perfectly prepared dinner I had had a few weeks before. Too bad. Won't be returning for lunch.
Get the beet salad and roast duck. All I have to say!
Truly special meal, great service, creative food - proud to have Martin Rios in New Mexico.
The restaurant was recommended by a friend but was pretty disappointing. Only after the meal did we find out the chef was not there that evening. I had the tuna which was served at the appropriate doneness but it was flavorless. My wife had the seasoned chicken but it too was extremely bland. The only saving grace was the Stag’s Leap Artemis cabernet and the great company of my wife
A disappointment from start to finish. Service was embarrassingly slow. We waited long times for each course. MY tuna was inedible, loaded with fibrous membranes that made it impossible to even cut. When that dish was removed I decided not to chance another slab of tuna so I ordered the chicken which was bland and tasteless. It was a terrible experience and we were embarrassed to have picked that restaurant for our out-of-town guests.
I ordered the lamb chops and a special request watermelon salad from the vegetarian special that night. I think it was the best meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Perfectly prepared, with a very creative and pleasurable combination of unexpected ingredients and textures. Our waitstaff was perfect and attentive in every way. Our late August meal In the beautiful outdoor patio couldn’t have been more perfect. We enjoyed an exquisite view of the rising full moon as we had a fabulous crème brûlée that was actually another exploration into a creative interputation of this classic dessert. The only thing that impinged on a completely perfect experience was an adjacent table where what appeared to be a political lobbyist opined loudly for two hours to his table of captive Texans; an unfortunate detail that I cannot blame on this excellent restaurant!
Superb evening accented by beautifully presented fresh, local ingredients.
It was lovely as usual and the setting was perfect . Service friendly but a little chaotic. My tuna wasn’t as tasty as I had hoped but asparagus salad was divine. Side of polenta was just ok. A little disappointing g but it may have just been an off night.
Great Food Great people beautiful setting on the patio good fun thanks
Outstanding food, excellent wine list. Loved the back patio, very nice. Service was not as fine as I would have expected for here. The staff was very friendly though. Outstanding food!!!
Absolutely incredible experience- food presentation was beautiful and flavors equal to best in the world. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
Fine dining above the Santa Fe norm. The 2nd night we dined there, Chef Martin managed to creatively accommodate my dietary restrictions while still giving me the best meal I have had this year. No small feat. Greta our server was perfect - excellent service with the bonus of Sommelier background that lent wonderful wine to the whole experience. Despite the elevated food quality all was still warm and down to earth in that signature New Mexico vibe.
We arrived at the end of the brunch hour on a Sunday and the service was at best, diffident. Staff stayed in the bar area and only came out once in awhile. Two of the three of us LOVED our food, but one friend did not like the crab omelette. She said both the omelette and potatoes had no taste. I loved the duck confit thing and my sister loved her salad. Maybe going at a busier time would have helped. Ambiance and decor were nothing to write home about. Maybe a spruce-up?
The best restaurant in Santa Fe—and in a town of First-rate restaurants, I mean that as the highest praise. Inventive always surprising menus (and even the constants like cold English soup have additions that surprise). Great staff. Lovely interior spaces and great outdoor dining. The BEST.
Food, service and ambiance were excellent. Julian, our waiter, was superb. We'll go again.
We joined four friends for dinner at Restaurant Martin and couldn't have been more pleased with our evening. We were seated at a great table on the patio and were greeted by our waiter who served us with absolute professionalism.
First courses were excellent; from the caesar salad to the pea soup. In fact, the pea soup was one of the best soups I have ever tasted. Entrees were prepared perfectly and beautifully presented.
This is a truly wonderful restaurant that will be on our "must return" list on our next visit to Santa Fe.
One of the best in Santa Fe. Our server and the chef went above and beyond to avoid my food allergy. They basically prepared a special meal just for me! The rest of our party were able to order from the menu and we enjoyed a delightful evening. Thank you Restaurant Martin.
The food quantity was very good and the service was spot on.
My big complaint is they only have onsite parking for 12 cars but seating for over 60 and no valet parking. I ended up parking 3 blocks away on Indian Market weekend.
Come on how hard can it be to hire a valet company for the weekend.
There are many great restaurants in Santa Fe with better parking options. I will not go back until the management corrects this problem.
We had not been in awhile, sat outside which was delightful. Food was great, especially the lamb. Good service. Inside can be a bit noisy and cramped but food is always worth the trip.
Consistently excellent. Every dish is plated in an excellent manner and the cuisine is top quality. Service is consistently excellent.
We decided to try this restaurant for lunch and it was wonderful. Everything about it was great from the food to the surrounding. We had been there for dinner before and took a restaurant tour last year and signed up for something different with lunch this year. I can't decide which meal we will opt for next year. But, we will be going back.
Karen our wait person was very helpful and did not rush us. We sat outside on a lovely evening. I had the grouper special was moist and tasty. My wife had the salmon also wonderful. We started with the pork cheek appetizer and split it. Perfect for two.
We had an excellent experience at Restaurant Martin. My husband and I had duck which was delicious, as were the accompaniments, and cooked perfectly. Our friend Mary had the beef which she very much enjoyed. The wine list is also excellent and the chocolate dessert we all shared was yummy. We always enjoy Restaurant Martin.
This is the 5th time we have made Martin’s a must for our annual girl’s opera getaway - it never disappoints!
One of my absolute Santa Fe favorites when I visit from Dallas. Love the outdoor dining. Atmosphere on patio is greet! Excellent food! Never disappoints! I chose it to celebrate my birthday, out of all the great options in SF!!!!
It was a beautiful afternoon on the patio. Attentive and friendly waiter/waitresses. Enjoyed the selections on the menu.
Restaurant Martin is one of our favorites. The restaurant has great outside dining on a pleasant enclosed patio. The service is outstanding with experienced, friendly and caring staff. Martin's menu is creative and varied. We had the duck entre and it was amongst the best we have ever had. I would highly recommend.
Our second meal there during this visit to Santa Fe. It was wonderful both times and I especially appreciate the very friendly and competent staff......of course the food is delicious.
Our first visit here and it was a mixed experience. Overall, the food was good - the asparagus salad and homemade cinnamon ice cream were highlights, but the chicken breast entree was unremarkable and closer to dry than moist. Service was attentive and appropriately timed, but our Italian red wine was served too chilled. Our table for two was jammed against a wall between the walkway to the restrooms and a large table for eight, so the whole evening we felt like we were sitting in the middle of a busy intersection. I’ll note that few of the other tables for two seemed very comfortably situated. We perhaps may come back as many menu selections are intriguing, but at this price level will hope for a better overall experience (and will be more directive about seating preference).
Great spot. This is our go to for a special evening out
As a foodie, I have eaten at many of the top restaurants in the United States. I now consider Restaurant Martin one of my top five. From the appetizer to the dessert, the meal was faultless. It's no surprise that chef Martin was nominated for a James Beard award. He deserves it!
First time diners...exceptional experience. Delightful service, excellent wine list and extraordinary food. Starters and entrees were wonderful - creative, delicious and perfectly portioned. We will return!
