Restaurant Martin is the embodiment of a of a 20-year dream to create the perfect balance of refined and comfortable. Chef Martin Rios, and his wife, Jennifer, envisioned a certain ambiance where people from the community as well as Santa Fe’s many visitors could enjoy Chef Rios’ award-winning progressive American cuisine. This family-owned restaurant caters not only to tourists, but to a large and loyal local clientele. Chef Rios has been repeatedly honored for his innovative and pleasing combinations of flavors, colors and presentation. His unique style emphasizes fresh, local produce and organic meats and poultry, and reflects not only Southwestern and Asian influences but also his classic training in French technique. His list of accolades include the following: Finalist in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022 for the James Beard “Best Chef of the Southwest” Award Semi-finalist for the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 James Beard “Best Chef of the Southwest” Award.

    Made an indoor reservation yet upon arrival we were informed all seating was outside on their patio. However the outside tables were constructed such that our knees constantly struck the horizontal support bar, which diminished our experience at Marten’s

    It's a very nice patio, with tables pretty widely spaced, so it sounds lively but it's easy to hear the conversation at one's own table. My companion and I both ordered the vegetarian tasting menu, and agreed that two of the four dishes (soup, salad) were excellent and the other two (carrots, sweet potato croquette) were good-not-great -- maybe one or the other of those, but two orange veg, both pretty heavy, was one too many. The jumbo asparagus salad appetizer we shared was outstanding. And we were very impressed when Jennifer came around offering blankets as it became cooler and breezier on the patio! Not our first time here, and we'll continue to come back in all seasons.

    We continue to enjoy Martin’s. Everyone embraces your presence from beginning to end. The waitstaff (Bryan) and his colleagues are attentive, helpful, and a joy to speak with. We always feel like we are eating with family. The food and ambiance are high points, of course, and the blankets to keep one warm are a special touch.

    We love Restaurant Martín. Our fav in Santa Fe. The food is creatively presented and absolutely amazing - I LOVE the salmon and my husband the beef tender. The service is always great and you just can’t beat the beautiful courtyard. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss eating here! You will be glad you did!!

    The food is excellent in both taste and presentation. I had the vegetable sampler for dinner and blueberry/peach cobbler for dessert. Both were outstanding!!! I would order them again!!!
