food was excellent but overpriced! Table was noisy due to children and the parents trying to engage them at 9:00pm New Years eve. Service was very slow, had to leave before being served our dessert.

New Year's Eve dinner. Prix Fixe five course menu. Each plate (except vegetarian tasting plate) was a work of art consisting of meticulously selected and arranged ingredients that highlighted complementary flavors and textures. Great wine selections. Service felt a bit chaotic but worked with a range of staff monitoring your table as they pass and identifying and addressing any needs. Vegetarian option for main course was "vegetarian tasting plate." Items on the plate lacked creativity, flavor, and presentation of other dishes. If you're a vegetarian, your money could be better spent elsewhere unless and until the chef decides to apply his craft and art to non-meat options.

The food at brunch was as good as the food at dinner but the prices are lower. Brunch is a nice alternative at less than half the price.

This was my second time dining at Restaurant Martin and it was just great! It's a beautiful restaurant inside and the first time I came here, I dined on the patio and it was so comfortable and enjoyable. The food is excellent and the service is professional and personable. What more could you ask for? We live in Albuquerque and it is so worth going up to Santa Fe. I will be dining here again and again.

We had a lovely dinner at Restaurant Martin for my birthday. Portions are not large, but the cuisine was creative, presented beautifully, and each flavor was delicious. They were fully booked that evening, but our service was good and attentive. We shared the beet salad (small but delicious), both had the seared tuna (excellent), and ended with the molten chocolate cake (fantastic!). An expensive dinner, but worth it. Looking forward to trying their lunch menu.

Chef Rios always offers creative, delicious, beautifully presented food. One of the few times all of our guests left restaurant with everyone delighted with what they had ordered instead of the usual. " I should have ordered the . . . ." Wonderful cuisine!

The food is great and the presentation also; however ,the service was not good. Warm bread and then no knifes to butter them with. It’s these small details which make you think of you will go back again. The chef needs to know and make corrections.

Always feel eating at Martin’s is a major treat for special occasions. Food is a journey to education in food,
new flavors and new foods. Creativity is amazing. Love Martin and Jennifer. Such a special place to eat and be. Love the ambiance.

Martin is a lovely restaurant with very good food. Our server Jesse did a great job even though he was extremely busy. The food was good but my chicken was a little dry. My husband's tenderloin/short rib was excellent. Dessert was a very imaginatively presented creme brûlée, which was very good.

Food was really tasty! However, the rice was undercooked- crispy. We were hoping for a quite dinner. However, a lady two tables over was saturating the place with her loud voice.

We chose this restaurant because we'd been there before. It was quiet and had good food. This time, however, the evening of 12/25, not so much. We arrived promptly at 7:00, as did 3 other couples. We all had to wait about 10 min. Then, to our amazement, we were seated in a glass room (converted garage) on their patio that had concrete floors and could not have been any more noisy. There was a party of 8 to our right and one of 7 to our left. It was awful. I was incredibly disappointed. It was $95 a person for 3 courses, excluding wine, taxes and gratuity. My 1st course of hamachi crudo was wonderful, as were my lamb chops. My husbands beef tenderloin (grass-fed), although cooked to rare like he likes it, was tough and tasteless. His beet salad was pretty ordinary. The rum baba for dessert was also tasteless and dry. The only bright spot was our server, Heidi. She was knowledgeable, pleasant, and the bright spot of the meal. We will not be going back. On the other hand, our dinner the night before at La Casa Sena was outstanding all the way around. BTW, we have eaten at highly rated restaurant around the world, as well as excellent casual ones, so, we what we're talking about.

We chose Restaurant Martin for our Christmas dinner because of the menu selection. It was heavy on local seasonal vegetables, varied choices and creatively presented. I do not eat gluten or meat and although there was nothing on the menu that stated gluten free, there were plenty of choices and I was satisfied. The service was professional and friendly without being stuffy. We will definitely return for another special occasion.

We went to Martin's for Christmas brunch. It was a rather pricey prix fixe. All of the food was great with the exception of my desert. I am gluten sensitive, and all the listed deserts had gluten in one form or another. They were able to give me three sorbets as an alternative. It was good but not special.

It is always a treat to eat at Restaurant Martin. It is decorated beautifully for the holidays, subtle yet lovely. Went for Sunday brunch. I had their amazing shrimp tortilla soup, it is fabulous! And a wonderful beet salad, creative, fresh bright and delicious. Restaurant Martin is what I would describe as casual elegance. You can be casual but their food is elegant. I’m always so happy eating there. It’s a quiet, relaxing wonderful place!

Absolutely worst meal I’ve ever had in SF. The four of us were excited to get a res for dinner on Friday night and arrived early in order to get in ahead of the crowd. It took our waitress about 10 minutes to come and greet us. She also had to be reminded to bring my son’s drink after our soggy Caesar salads arrived. The only good meal at the table was the duck. 3 of us ordered the tenderloin MR and it was served MW and the short rib was dry. Others nearby that ordered after us received their food before us. Our waitress NEVER returned to check on us. A waiter came by assuming we wanted dessert, which we didn’t. Shabby service, unimpressed by the food and the hostess apologized by making excuses of having several large parties. She did not offer to remedy anything. Lesson learned Martin is overrated and under delivers on many counts.

Over the past several years, Restaurant Martín had become one of our favorites in Santa Fe. Our visit several days ago was a disappointment. (I hope this was an aberration, but I can't be sure.) The service was lackadaisical. My seafood special was good, if a bit too fancy, as if to jazz up the fish. But my wife's vegetarian plate was laughable: a small serving of soup (no indication of such on the menu), a couple of marshmellow-sized bricks of sweet potatoes, a tiny serving of couscous, and roasted fennel -- something more typically used as a garnish, but presented here as an entrée. The price: $28.00. (In the past, the vegetarian plate was a wonderful and colorful assortment of roasted vegetables presented beautifully on a long rectangular plate.) The molten chocolate cake for dessert was cold. We'd like to try Restaurant Martín again to satisfy ourselves that this was an unfortunate aberration, but at these prices (some of the highest in Santa Fe), I'm not sure it's worth the risk.

Be aware of seating in back tables facing each ...too much conversation from table opposite your own that is easily heard. Or in other words, do NOT take a “friend” there for a secluded outing

The food at restaurant Martin is always delicious. I cannot understand why it does not get a higher rating from open table. My duck could not have been better. Everything is a little unusual and creatively put together. Reception is warm. Our waiter was thoughtful in in discussing the food. It is hard to imagine a better dining out experience.

very disappointed. somehow the bar wine-by-the-glass had been put in the refrigerator and was VERY cold. The waitress wanted to hold the glasses in the palm of her hands to help warm it up. The wine never opened up. the waitress wanted to take it off of our bill. what ended up is after we said that we didn't want any dessert, the manage brought us a dessert instead of doing something about the wine on the tab.
$3 charge to split the salad. the food was good, not great.
After being very excited about visiting this restaurant - especially because of the horse shelter that he is involved in - we were very disappointed.

Always fabulous! My friend had the crab cakes and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the roast beet salad which was superb.
The wines by the glass are a solid selection of middle to great wines and the atmosphere is quiet and comfortable.
We didn't ask for bread and none was served. I think our server should have asked if we wanted any. the meal was excellent.

This place is expensive as hell, but completely worth it!

We went on Thanksgiving, for a special family event. We had vegetarians (well, pesca- lacta- vegetarians) as well as meat eaters. The dinner presented to us was a perfectly balanced, with flavors form a variety of sources that seemed like they always belonged together. Our entire family, a mix of meatatarians and vegetarians, left the dinner completely sated.

We enjoyed our meals. She had traditional Turkey, I had Sea Bass. Both very good. Your waiter Jesse 'pushes' way to hard to herd people through the dining experience. Last thing I want to pay for is some server steering me through my evening. a 20% gratuity is perfect....for a dining experience, where the customer is felt attended to, not just served.

Sharpen your knives, there are many dining options out there.
