One of the best restaurants in the state. I enjoy the food and appreciate the presentation of the food. The chef is creative and does a great job. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Santa Fe.
There is no better place to eat than Chef Rios’ restaurant in Santa Fe or in the entire state. He is a true artist. Wonderful food, fantastic restaurant.
Booth was uncomfortable. No bread or dinner salad offered. Only beer and wine menu for drinks. Chefs creation left me still hungry. My wife’s sirloin was tough.
This restaurant is always a joy, the staff, the food, the ambiance. Every bit is perfection. I couldn't resist a cup of the Spring Pea soup with paper thin radishes. It was so light and so flavorful I would have imagined the peas were popping fresh off the vine and into my mouth. My crab cakes were equally delightful, moist and beyond scrumptious. My husband had the chicken sandwich and I couldn't tell you how it was because before I knew it his plate was clean so my presumption is that he thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
Are we coming back, most definitely.
We had an exceptional evening. The service and food were top notch. We Appreciated the quiet atmosphere and look forward to returning soon.
Could have been a bad night, as we had dined here 2 years ago and were very pleased with the food. The appetizer was delicious (Tuna Tartar), the wine lovely, and the dessert rich and beautiful (chocolate tower), BUT, the strip loin steak was so tough I had to request a steak knife and even with that it was hard to cut and chew. The taste was wonderful, but I'm sorry, my husband and I both ordered this and I find it hard to believe we received 2 really bad cuts of meat. For this much money I expect something really good. It was only fair.
We had made a reservation and our wait time was minimal. The request I made to sit away from the door was honored. Our server, Jordan, was attentive to detail and very pleasant. The food was very well portioned and beautifully presented. The chef magically orchestrated flavors that were pleasing to the palate. We will definitely return for our next visit.
Excellent meal, caring and knowledgeable service and a great way to spend an evening. The food was presented beautifully only surpassed by it's flavor. A feast for your eyes and tastebuds! Our server explained each dish not only precisely, but with enthusiasm! Also recommended a perfect wine pairing. Made for a wonderful dining experience!
Always enjoy dinner at Martin’s. The food is spectacular and the service is wonderful.
We ate at Restaurant Martin last May, and the food was terrible, and service poor. However, we wanted to give this restaurant another try this year. We came on Friday night, May 31. The service was horrible (we waited 18 minutes after we finished eating before anyone ever came to see if we wanted anything else or just a bill). The entrée (chicken with mushrooms) was awful - undercooked, tough, stringy. We will not be back. We found out from our hotel, that several of their guests in recent weeks, had reported the same thing we did - very poor service and food NOT GOOD. I wish they had told us in advance!!!
The best restaurant Santa Fe has to offer in any way.
From beginning to end the experience was wonderful. Starting at the bar, the cocktails were interesting and tasty. The bartender was very innovative and knowledgeable. Moving to the meal, every dish was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. Our waiter, Craig, was helpful and entertaining. We totally enjoyed our experience and will absolutely return the next time we are in Santa Fe.
We came to Restaurant Martin to celebrate a friend getting married. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. It is a small space that made me feel the comfort of eating dinner at a friends house. The food was amazing with bursting flavor and color in every dish. I’m so glad we stumbled upon this. It was a perfect place to enjoy good food with friends. Definitely a hidden gem in Santa Fe. We will return and recommend to others visiting.
Beautiful presentation of foods that were exceptional in flavor.
The food was exceptional particularly in the accompaniments. Too bad they dont serve martinis
We chose Restaurant Martin to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary and were very pleased with our choice. Everything was excellent from the service & the ambience to the food and wine. The outdoor patio provides the best ambience when it is available. We will definitely return.
The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is creative and flavorful . Even the simplest dish (like the Cesar salad) was done with the extra touches of care and flavor that make this the kind of restaurant that I would call a special experience
Outdoor dining is lovely here. The food is very good, as is the service. Good selection of wines to accompany dining.
Excellent, as usual. Grateful they gladly accommodated my infant grandson. He did not fuss one bit.
Amazing. Chef is extremely talented and food is amazing quality and flavors
I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! The food is thoughtful, fresh and perfectly prepared. The host/owner was one of the kindest and most accommodating people we met in Santa Fe. I’d highly recommend this restaurant for the food and the experience.
My favorite local lunch spot. So glad they’re open again for lunch. The food is very fresh and well prepared. Service was attentive, professional and friendly. I’ll be back soon.
My favorite spot in Santa Fe. Great value for lunch, dinner is also fabulous. The food is alway exceptional and presented so beautifully. You eat with your eyes!
I find the inside a bit too austere, particularly the wall paintings. Perhaps some new paintings could be considered?
Chef Martín has created a wondeful culinary experience. His attention to detail is obvious in every delicious bite. I would not be surprised if there are some Michelin stars in his future!
70th birthday celebration!
One of the best meals ever
The food was delicious and well prepared. The recipes were complex but the flavors worked well together. Service was attentive and yet relaxed. The pacing was prefect- we never felt rushed.
Brunch menu had a very nice variety; we had salmon, duck and an omelet - all delicious. The lemon honeycomb desert was fabulous. Good service, great in-town location, parking a bit tight.
We eat there each time we are in Santa Fe. Service and food are always great. Had the special sea bass. Great and split the tuna tarter also good. My wife had the salmon great. Julian was a great waiter with good suggestions.
Food here is completely over-rated. I can’t believe this chef is as highly rated as he is. Dishes were a combination of ingredients that didn’t come together. Mole was bad, bread tasted like it was a week old. Orzo mac and cheese was oily and orzo was overcooked. Blue fin tuna was about as mediocre as it gets. If you’re in Santa Fe, don’t waste your time here, go to Sazon or La Paloma instead.
My husband ordered the steak and said it was excellent. I ordered the chicken breast which was good but I don’t particularly care for the “french” cut.
Definitely a 5 star restaurant
Excellent food, wine and service. Luis, our server, was the ultimate professional!!
We have been here several times but not in a while. Have always had a good experience until this time. Service was dismal. My husband has a sensitivity to onions and garlic; granted it’s very difficult to find something on a menu that doesn’t have one or both. However, we have never had a server tell us, “I don’t think the chef can make modifications at this time”, at least without even asking. When I replied, “would you please ask”, she reluctantly did. Lo and behold, the chef was able to accommodate.
We ordered a bottle of wine and never once did she stop to refill our glasses. After we completed our first course, she passed our table numerous times without stopping to clear our plates.
The food was very tasty but service is paramount to a good dining experience. It will be a while before we return as there are many other restaurants in town with tasty food and excellent service.
The wine choices were definitely above average. The service was excellent and thoughtful. Our waiter was very patient and knowledgeable
And every dish we ordered was perfect. Of course the spring pea soup is always delicious
I often order the chicken dish which is always tender, juicy and prepAred in a unique way.
Other than the deconstructed banana cream pie (too deconstructed) the meals (4of us) were wonderful. The duck was incredible.
My server was very helpful and knowledgeable. Food was outstanding.
Food and service were excellent. Atmosphere was lacking. Not much to look at art wise and music non existent. Fairly dull.
We had a delightful evening at Restaurant Martin. From the moment we entered the door, we felt welcomed. The staff is knowledgeable, professional without being stuffy and attentive. The menu is well-chosen - interesting options with something for those who are vegetarians to carnivores. The presentation is beautiful and the food tastes as good as it looks. Our out of town guests were as happy with their evening as we were. Thank you for consistently going beyond.
Lovely restaurant. Based on recommendations and the reputation of the chef, we expected outstanding food. We were somewhat disappointed. The chicken, which was described by the waiter as juicy and tender, was over cooked and dry. Despite this, the dish was very flavorful and the risotto was delicious. The duck entree was very good but not outstanding. The ambiance was wonderful.
