Very relaxing. Beautiful presentation.
Great chef and food is always good. It’s hard to beat the service in Santa Fe and I love dining at night on the back patio—so pretty!
Delicious as always with very good service. Pea soup is my favorite.
The tuna tartare, pork cheeks and the grouper special were excellent but the vegetarian tasting dish was disappointing, as though the Chef was not deeply committed to providing vegetarian food at the same standard as the rest of the offerings.
Outside patio was beautiful. Wonderful meal and great service.
Great meal great service
Restaurant Martín provided the best food and experience of our 3 evenings in Santa Fe. Great service and the outdoor patio was an excellent place for dinner.
Beautiful ambiance outdoors, complex delicious flavors in food and excellent service. Great evening to end our trip to Santa Fe.
The small plates are good; however, beware of the shishito peppers. I never found one that wasn’t extremely hot! I sat on the patio, which was very nice and my waitress was good as well. The polenta cake was excellent.
Excellent food. Great service. Romantic setting. Lovely view of garden from annex pavilion. Highly recommend
We just had a lovely evening at Restaurant Martin with our guests from LA. Everything was perfect from the chef's tasting to the salmon to the wine selection. It was so pleasant to be in a setting where you could actually talk without competing background music/noise. Outstanding service, we'll be back.
Chef Martin Rios continues to offer delectable food, especially the daily specials. We had a corvina that was incredible in taste and presentation.
Salmon and house special we excellent along with our server
This had to be one of our best meals ever and that is saying a lot. We made a last minute reservation and were not able to dine outside but we had excellent service inside and the must amazing and delicious food. The lobster appetizer, the fish special, the vegetarian tasting dinner and the s’mores dessert. We had the opportunity briefly meet Chef Martin who was gracious and welcoming and we will definitely be back next visit to Santa Fe! A perfect dinner for our last night of vacation. Thank you.
Food and service was excellent but there was little to no air conditioning which made it very uncomfortable.
Service was horrible . Hostess was sweet and a delight but there was no one inside . All the guests were on the patio and our server was bad about checking up and balancing the tables. Took forever to get drinks and he forgot several including soda for a teenager and and after lunch aperitif, I’ve always had a great time and experience here but this time food was so so and service bad
I was excited to be going to Restaurant Martin as I know the restaurant has a fabulous reputation. I eat only vegan food and have had wonderful vegan meals at many of the best restaurants in Santa Fe, including Sazon and Joseph's Table. Those restaurants really make an effort to have something available that is delicious and creative. Restaurant Martin, however, was a complete disappointment. I paid $28 for a "vegetarian tasting plate" that was made up of four small bowls. One had sautéed spinach, one had 5 slices of steamed and then sautéed beets, one had 5 small chunks of steamed and then sautéed butternut squash and one had small chunks of watermelon and pineapple.
Given that many people are trying to eat less meat because of their health or concerns about climate change, I was stunned to find such a boring, bland and uncreative approach to a vegan meal. Also stunned by the price.
I think the chef here might want to look at some of the creative ways other chefs in town are offering meat and dairy free meals.
I was not going to post this publicaly as I didn't want to shame the chef - however I couldn't find any email on their website so I could send this privately.
We had eaten here several years ago and enjoyed it. This time our meals were a little blah, and so we were somewhat disappointed. Nice courtyard dining and the service was good.
Love the corvina fish
Always, always fabulous.
Our “go to” place for a wonderful fine dining experience. Our visits provide Chef Martin the challenges of some significant dietary restrictions. The willingness of he and his team to deal with this and Chef’s creativity in coming up with amazing dishes is unequaled.
Amazing food and ambiance! Can’t wait to eat there again!
Like most restaurants in Santa Fe, overpriced and fair food. Restaurant Martin came with high reviews but we found the steak to be a notch above Golden Coral. The Tuna was tough and lobster appetizer had very little in it. Lobster was over cooked and tough as well. By far not the worst place in Santa Fe and William offered the best service in the whole town.
Great service from August and Jordan. Expensive less than tender steak. Good tuna. Yummy dessert.
Chef Martin is extremely creative in his combination of ingredients -all very local and seasonal. Our group is returning tonight to eat at Restaurant Martin again.
Food was o.k. but expensive. Otherwise everything else was poor or average at best. Not recommended
Chef Martin is a genius in the kitchen. The food was excellent as was the service.
Julian was an excellent server. Chef’s special, grouper, was outstanding. Chicken did exceptional. Dessert (lemon honeycomb...) extraordinary. All because of distinctive combinations of ingredients and flavors. Sonoma Chardonnay fine. Patio/garden dining relaxed. Recommended for a splurge.
Restaurant Martin is always at the top of my list for elegant, delicious food served with style, in a pleasant, quiet ambiance. Four of us dined on the outdoor patio and it was a delight to indulge in delicious duck breast and grouper and notice the sun shift from bright early evening to dusk. An outstanding dining experience that we hope to repeat again soon .
The food is clearly the centerpiece restaurant Martin. It is ingeniously designed and served impeccably. With each dish having so many interesting aspects to it it, you will also have lively dinner conversation about the meal. For example the creation of the night when I was there had seared grouper joined by two meaty oysters reclining on a pancake of leeks and cauliflower. It was so intriguing not to mention delicious!
The ambience is superb as well. We particularly enjoyed dining al fresco.
We chose the place based on what we read online. It was true to it's descriptions. I did find the deconstructions very nice as in the Caesar salad and the banana split. The salmon entree was a little heavy and too many mushrooms for my taste. The presentations are lovely. Service was very good. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather and ambience.
The patio in the back is beautiful. The service is elegant,
But both of us found the dressings on our different salads a little too acidic.
However, we didn’t mention it to the very attentive server. This was unusual. It is usually perfect in all foods!
Love this restaurant.
Excellent and inventive food. Good service.
When is is at its best, this restaurant is the finest restaurant in Santa Fe. The food can be, as it was on this visit, spectacular. The service is pleasant an helpful, and the garden setting is lovely in the warm weather. For creativity in its food preparation, it far exceeds anything else in town.
Nice change of pace in Santa Fe. Upscale menu. Everything was beautifully prepared and presented . The chilled pea soup was perfect. The grouper chefs selection of the day delicious. The only thing is the interior is a little bland. Most diners sat on the patio when we dined.
Lunch on the patio was as wonderful as usual. Our server, Luis, recommended our wine to go with our food and it was the perfect choice. I have a food allergy so Luis was able to tell me what items to avoid. We had a very enjoyable lunch on the patio on a beautiful summer day.
Our group really enjoyed Restaurant Martin- we sat outside on the patio, under the shade of several trees. It was very pleasant. One person ordered some wine, which she thought had a funny taste. The wait staff immediately took it away; Mary Lynne then ordered a different wine ( a Pinot) which was fine and the wait staff also brought a taste of the previous wine from a different bottle of the same name. They were trying to please.
Amazing food! Best food during our Santa Fe trip!
Absolutely wonderful meal. Lobster appetizer was followed by a tuna entrée and grouper entrée, both beautifully prepared. Dessert and coffee were excellent. Dinner in the patio on a lovely evening made it even more special for Father's Day.
