We went on a Sunday evening for our 28th anniversary. We were greeted at the door, and seated immediately, we did have a reservation. The food, service and ambiance were top notch. Great flavors and a wonderful meal.
My wife and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary and could not have been happier. While expensive, the food is unbelievable and well worth the price. My wife had the warm crepe and rack of lamb, while I ordered the seared foie gras and venison. The staff was very professional and pleasant.
What a lovely intimate French restaurant in Maplewood, New Jersey. Excellent service, marvelous flavored French cuisine...great background music .. not only French.. but lovely Brazilian and Argentinian sounds, reasonable price point. The menu is simple, with daily specials that make your eyes sparkle! My sister and I love French cuisine and try to go to different French restaurants..but we will have to cheat with a return visit to Restaurant Lorena’s!
Just a note, the beauty to this restaurant is that you BYOB which is great to bring your favorite Sancerre or Chardonnay! Drop by the wine store directly across the street.
Food was ok but way too expensive for the experience.
Lovely dinner on repeat visit
Cozy little restaurant. Limited but good selection for lunch. Went to celebrate a birthday and it fit the bill as a nice, special occasion restaurant. Good service. Delicious food and desserts.
I dined at Lorena’s for brunch and had an amazing experience. The crab and mushroom crepe should not be missed. The atmosphere is sleek and quiet.
My wife and I had a Sunday brunch to celebrate our anniversary. This is a delightful restaurant. Food and service were very good. We will be back.
Amazing especially with Adrian’s attention to detail
The Oysters were chilled to a perfect Temp and complimented with a delicious vinaigrette. The hoped the warm lump crab crepe wouldn’t end. I ordered the filet mignon for my entree which was prepared medium-rare (and came out exactly as ordered) and did not disappoint... another great evening and dining experience at Lorena’s. Bravo Chef Campos!
WOW! First time dining at Lorena's. Had honestly never gone due to BYOB (we prefer a drink to start our dinner), and 20 minutes from home. We've really been missing out. Had duck confit and fois gras appetizer, and steak and venison entrees. Even the vegetables and bread were great. Each dish was delicious, service was efficient and friendly, cannot wait to go back!!
We've been to Lorena's 2x now. Food is always very good. Important item - this is a very nice restaurant but no liquor license so if you're a drinker make sure you've got your bottle in hand. We've gotten the banana dessert twice and realized we don't particularly care for it (2x we ordered it because we had forgotten we had it).
We always go to Lorena's when we want to have a great dining experience. The food is consistently delicious and the portions are not microscopic. From the salmon tartar and wild mushroom soup to the pan seared scallops and delicate sea bass, our dinner was exceptional. Decadent desserts, coffee panna cotta and chocolate molten cake, and 2 cups of wonderful coffee , rounded out a memorable evening. If you have a great bottle of wine and are looking to pair it with some great food, go to Lorena's, you will never be disappointed.
Bday and they surprised us with a dessert!
