About Restaurant Latour
Restaurant Latour is the culinary crown jewel of our resort, an elegant oasis of refined cooking, gracious service and extraordinary wine in a luxurious setting. Under the direction of Executive Chef Anthony Bucco and Chef de Latour Martyna Krowicka, Restaurant Latour showcases the best of New Jersey’s bountiful farms and artisan producers. Working closely with local farmers, purveyors and foragers, the chefs rely on the rhythm of the seasons to craft two ever-evolving menus: the 5-course "Anthology" menu and the 7-course Chef Degustation "Chef's Tasting". Choose dishes from five different categories on the Anthology menu or place yourself in the Chefs’ hands for an extraordinary culinary experience with the Chef’s Tasting. The menus interplay with the resort’s world-renowned Wine Cellar. Dishes can be paired with wines hand-selected by our sommeliers or an eclectic seasonal cocktail.

Restaurant Latour Ratings and Reviews
This restaurant itself is very nice and classic. You certainly feel an air of exclusivity when you’re met at the elevator and brought to your table. The waiters are knowledgeable about wine pairings and the food being served but with that being said the prices are outrageous for the food you receive. It’s a tasting menu so the portions are small but we left so hungry that we had to go elsewhere to get another bite to eat.
Restaurant La Tour, without a doubt, offers one of the best fine dining experiences on the east coast. The service is attentive and friendly, but the main reason to come here is the food. The chef's talent is in her ability to put together seemingly disparate though complementary flavors and textures in a way that creates a new delicious whole. This holds from the first course through dessert. This was our second visit to the restaurant...we haven't been guests of the resort, and we live almost 2 hours away...but both times the dining experience was well worth the drive.
Great experience. Service was outstanding. Food was excellent and creative. Chanterelle first course was amazing as were the peas. Both the duck and lamb were uniquely prepared and delicious. Halibut was flavorful - loved the preparation. I would absolutely come back.
Absolutely impeccable 7-course tasting menu paired with amazing service and a tremendous view. The wine list is of a caliber of its own and the Sommelier is a great resource in traversing the variety of flavors experienced throughout the meal. The Chef made some tremendous seasonal dishes with a great layer of textures and acidity levels which coaxed me into eating some elements I typically shy away from. Love the discreet location of the restaurant and the friendliness of the staff, overall a great experience.
Gourmet dining in the grand tradition. A well paced meal, expert service with detailed explanations of each offering and a wine list to die for. LaTour is not your everyday local restaurant and the price puts everyday dining out of the reach of most pocketbooks, but for a truly memorable experience, it can't be beat anywhere west of the Hudson River.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal this past Saturday evening. We selected the 5 course tasting menu and were very pleased. The halibut fish course was a surprising delight with its mix of cool and warm veggies along with the moist crispy fish. Porclette or pork bully was crispy and fatty. The wines were delish. The evening was topped off by a visit from the head chef.
Latour did not disappoint at all. The customers, for the most part, get it. But there are, regrettably, young folks that might earn enough to pay the bill but know little or nothing about manners and how one conducts themselves in a really special restaurant! Anyone's cell phone can ring accidentally and most diners including me will give them a pass for the faux pas but FOUR times and then taking the calls at the table is a bit much.
The wait staff, although quite young, was well trained and top notch. I could have spent the evening listening to Suzanne, the Sommelier, discuss various wines and Gianni, who might have been the "wine steward", was incredibly entertaining. Overall, it was a most pleasurable experience.
Later offers an outstanding culinary experience. The food is exceptional, the staff well trained and committed to creating a memorable dining experience for clientele. The ambience is "European" in style and in combination with the elegant service and food provides a taste of civilized living.
I took my wife to Latour for her birthday and we had a delightful experience. The service was impeccable and there was so much attention to detail the entire evening. The Food - WOW!!! What taste for each dish served!! Everything stood out and was so well prepared. The portion sizes were perfect as we went with the 5 course tasting. The Sommelier was brilliant and explained in great detail why she chose the wine she did, and educated on taste, origin and the grapes themselves. The environment was very nice, quiet and cozy. I will definitely go back to Latour. I do highly suggest going here. Best fit for special occasions!
Latour never ceases to disappoint. This was my third time and the food, service and ambiance are always outstanding. It's the perfect place for a romantic evening. The tasting menu is surprising, delicious, unhurried and worth every penny. The wine pairings are a perfect accompaniment to each dish.
This is not a restaurant that's just a meal, it's an experience unto itself. The 5 course meal for two took approximately 3 hours. This is when you enjoy time with your special someone, enjoy the food and relax. It's not a rushed process, nor should it be. I highly recommend Latour.
From the moment we arrived the staff took care of us. The food was spectacular with service to match! We rarely go out due to our schedules but when we do we like to be "wined and dined." We ordered the 7 course with wine pairings and were blown away by the quality of the food, creativity, and excellent wine selections by the sommelier. Restaurant Latour met our expectations and then some. We will definitely be returning.
This is not the restaurant to visit if you have any allergies. Each course seemed to be more focused on the presentation rather than the quality or size of the portion. When advised of a nut allergy, the staff simply served a sub basic item that in no way reflected the level of culinary experience we were guaranteed. It was a very embarrassing experience as we were with friends who also read many favorable reviews and expected so much more.
The service and ambience is very good. In my opinion the food just wasn't that flavorful. For the amount of money you pay for the 7 course tasting meal this should be one of the best meals you have ever had and this was just average at best. I feel like the chef over complicated the dishes and needs to focus more on flavor.
Disappointing, it was my wife's birthday and we expected a high quality experience and ordered the 7 course dinner with wine pairing . In the middle of the dinner the hotel fire alarm went off we sat through two courses with the alarm going at full blast. Although the manager came over and explained that it would be 15 to 20 minutes before the fire department would turn it off no other courtesy was given, that was it no other explanation no sorry for the inconvenience , let me buy you a drink? Take something off the bill? I know it wasn't their fault but it was their problem. Latour should have come up with something For a restaurant that was supposed to be high end they Really Missed the mark. I doubt We will go back
We really loved the care and effort put in to bring each and every course into a perfect presentation along with extraordinary tastes. It was a truly wonderful experience and the wine pairing and the hosts presentations and descriptions were perfect and informative and helped us to visualize the tastes we would soon encounter for each and every course.
this restaurant was a pleasure to find in new jersey. it was equivalent to many of the fine restaurants in nyc which in my opinion is hard to find in new jersey. I am gluten free and the home made gluten free brioche were heavenly. they were very accommodating. my only disappointment was that I never eat sweets but have fresh fruit and they had nothing at all to offer me. they offered instead another cheese course, which was tasty, but didn't hit the spot. I feel that a 5 star restaurant should have some kind of fresh fruit in the kitchen to be able to put together and serve. all in all I would certainly return and would recommend to others.
When a restaurant is billed as the best and most expensive in the state, I get a bit skeptical. "Best" and "most" can be difficult to define, and places described that way usually fall short. Restaurant Latour is the exception. The four in our party have dined extensively in some of the finest restaurants in central New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania, and we all felt that Latour truly rates among the best. Yes, it is expensive. Including drinks, wine and gratuity our bill was about $200/person, and it could have been much, much higher if we hadn't made judicious choices from the extensive wine list.
We also drove 60 miles (each way) to get there, so expectations were quite high. The service was outstanding and attentive. The modern cuisine was spectacular. Each course (we had the 5-course option) was a creative combination of exquisitely complementary and complex flavors and textures. The portions were small, but not tiny. With 5 courses, no one at our table complained about being underfed.
If you have a problem spending a lot of money for a spectacular meal, don't go to Latour. If the price doesn't scare you away, and if you have the same type of dining experience we had, you will find the money well-spent.
This was one of the best meals we have ever eaten. The chef even got my husband to eat vegetables because of the tasty blend of items in each course of the meal. The careful attention of the wait staff ensured that e had everything we needed at every moment during the meal.
Well worth the time and expense of getting there.
The restaurant is small and intimate, quiet and the staff is very attentive but not obtrusive. All ten items we ordered (we ordered different things from five different courses) were superb, eye-catching, and made us want to come back again. We liked the idea that we were able to be a little choosy about the items we were getting, as one of us is not adventuresome - and he loved everything he had as well!
Excellent service and food. When taking the order for cocktails, the server mentioned they could accommodate most special requests and dietary restrictions. We chose the 5 course tasting menu and, because my wife has allergies to wheat and dairy products, asked them to make any necessary changes or substitutions to the ingredients for her dishes (I wanted the original versions).
The food was absolutely wonderful, and the wine paired with each course was delicious and complimented it perfectly. The Chef is a genius, the staff just about perfect, and there is a beautiful view - what else could you want?
