Amazing as always!
Wonderful Valentines dinner. Very clever combinations with local ingredients. Loved the rabbit entree, an under appreciated protein. They did a great job and the cheese options were very cleverly done. Chocolate cake for dessert was super luscious a great finish with port. Manhattan style fine cuisine in Sussex county, worth seeking out but with Manhattan style prices too. Wine list is ridiculously good.
Fabulous meal! Amazing , refreshing, worth every penny!!
It is a missed price, the food well below expectation, with a lot of smoked flavor, some barbecue sauce and the desert is simply a joke you can t eat; it is very surprising for a gastronomic restaurant and the price of the menu; very disappointed regarding by the chief 's menu; the wine was expensive but good, i don't recommend at all this place
Great food And worth the prices..most places like this with fixed menu give really small portions however this place did not. One of our dishes was undercooked and they gave us an additional dish at no cost. Great service and great wine too!
It was just okay- the chef was unwilling to accommodate which was ridiculous. We asked to sub one dish, we couldn’t eat, from the seven course tasting and she declined. Give me a break.. food really was not all that great, service was great, chef was Not professional and doesn’t believe she is serving the customers ... not customer orientated. Very disappointing.
This is my 3rd time at this restaurant, in 8 years. I still remember what I ate for the first visit, everything was amazing. Wine, food, scenery, services, etc.
This time it was a thurs, very quiet, one of 2 tables the whole night. 2 dishes out of the 5 were good. The rest was not great. Maybe I have become more of a “foodie” or they are declining. And the price has gone up. Very disappointing.
This little gem is well worth the trip. Oyster with caviar and cranberry, truffle and morel buccatini, A5 wagyu. All done perfectly. We will be back.
What a fabulous dinner, we had the 7 course tasting dinner with wine pairings. From the perfectly cooked, beautifully plated, impeccably served and the flavors the melded and complimented the dish. WOW!!!
Unbelievably over priced for what you get. Food was ok at best. Both my wife and I were still hungry when we left and we are not heavy eaters at all. Would not return and would not recommend to anyone.
Attentive staff !! Wonderful food
Very special place. You will not be disappointed.
This restaurant itself is very nice and classic. You certainly feel an air of exclusivity when you’re met at the elevator and brought to your table. The waiters are knowledgeable about wine pairings and the food being served but with that being said the prices are outrageous for the food you receive. It’s a tasting menu so the portions are small but we left so hungry that we had to go elsewhere to get another bite to eat.
We had a fantastic date night. The service was impeccable, food mouthwateringly delicious and the wine was perfectly paired. A definite destination for anyone who enjoys fine dining.
Restaurant La Tour, without a doubt, offers one of the best fine dining experiences on the east coast. The service is attentive and friendly, but the main reason to come here is the food. The chef's talent is in her ability to put together seemingly disparate though complementary flavors and textures in a way that creates a new delicious whole. This holds from the first course through dessert. This was our second visit to the restaurant...we haven't been guests of the resort, and we live almost 2 hours away...but both times the dining experience was well worth the drive.
One of the best meals I have ever had. The service was impeccable. The wine list is overwhelming but there is a sommelier choice list that made it easy. The 5 course tasting was superb. Very very expensive but worth it for that special occasion.
Great experience. Service was outstanding. Food was excellent and creative. Chanterelle first course was amazing as were the peas. Both the duck and lamb were uniquely prepared and delicious. Halibut was flavorful - loved the preparation. I would absolutely come back.
Terrific service and wonderful food !! A very enjoyable evening
Truly one of the best dining experiences in my life. The food was exquisite and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend Restaurant Latour to anyone.
Absolutely impeccable 7-course tasting menu paired with amazing service and a tremendous view. The wine list is of a caliber of its own and the Sommelier is a great resource in traversing the variety of flavors experienced throughout the meal. The Chef made some tremendous seasonal dishes with a great layer of textures and acidity levels which coaxed me into eating some elements I typically shy away from. Love the discreet location of the restaurant and the friendliness of the staff, overall a great experience.
Such a great experience and terrific food! The service was second to none. My husband and I have food allergies and I loved that we got a call in advance to discuss preferences /allergies and the chef took excellent care of us.
Gourmet dining in the grand tradition. A well paced meal, expert service with detailed explanations of each offering and a wine list to die for. LaTour is not your everyday local restaurant and the price puts everyday dining out of the reach of most pocketbooks, but for a truly memorable experience, it can't be beat anywhere west of the Hudson River.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal this past Saturday evening. We selected the 5 course tasting menu and were very pleased. The halibut fish course was a surprising delight with its mix of cool and warm veggies along with the moist crispy fish. Porclette or pork bully was crispy and fatty. The wines were delish. The evening was topped off by a visit from the head chef.
Fantastic! We had an amazing experience and the staff was wonderful! I would go back tomorrow and the next day!!
Service was great, wine pairing was the best feature. The food was good. View was pretty as the sun was setting. Again great service
Staff at the restaurant takes service to a new level.
The attentiveness of the staff, the wine list, along with the food makes this an outstanding restaurant
Latour did not disappoint at all. The customers, for the most part, get it. But there are, regrettably, young folks that might earn enough to pay the bill but know little or nothing about manners and how one conducts themselves in a really special restaurant! Anyone's cell phone can ring accidentally and most diners including me will give them a pass for the faux pas but FOUR times and then taking the calls at the table is a bit much.
The wait staff, although quite young, was well trained and top notch. I could have spent the evening listening to Suzanne, the Sommelier, discuss various wines and Gianni, who might have been the "wine steward", was incredibly entertaining. Overall, it was a most pleasurable experience.
Great food, service, atmosphere...highly recommended this restaurant!
The food and service was amazing. The perfect place to treat yourself for a special occasion. Would definitely recommend and would go back.
Later offers an outstanding culinary experience. The food is exceptional, the staff well trained and committed to creating a memorable dining experience for clientele. The ambience is "European" in style and in combination with the elegant service and food provides a taste of civilized living.
Amazing food, amazing service. Staff was very attentive, and so accommodating for a gluten allergy in our party. Such a special experience. Worth every penny.
I took my wife to Latour for her birthday and we had a delightful experience. The service was impeccable and there was so much attention to detail the entire evening. The Food - WOW!!! What taste for each dish served!! Everything stood out and was so well prepared. The portion sizes were perfect as we went with the 5 course tasting. The Sommelier was brilliant and explained in great detail why she chose the wine she did, and educated on taste, origin and the grapes themselves. The environment was very nice, quiet and cozy. I will definitely go back to Latour. I do highly suggest going here. Best fit for special occasions!
Latour never ceases to disappoint. This was my third time and the food, service and ambiance are always outstanding. It's the perfect place for a romantic evening. The tasting menu is surprising, delicious, unhurried and worth every penny. The wine pairings are a perfect accompaniment to each dish.
This is not a restaurant that's just a meal, it's an experience unto itself. The 5 course meal for two took approximately 3 hours. This is when you enjoy time with your special someone, enjoy the food and relax. It's not a rushed process, nor should it be. I highly recommend Latour.
From the moment we arrived the staff took care of us. The food was spectacular with service to match! We rarely go out due to our schedules but when we do we like to be "wined and dined." We ordered the 7 course with wine pairings and were blown away by the quality of the food, creativity, and excellent wine selections by the sommelier. Restaurant Latour met our expectations and then some. We will definitely be returning.
Top to bottom amazing experience. The menu and execution on par with any top NYC restaurant. Service knowledgeable and Uber professional. Oh yeah and that wine list is stellar!
This is not the restaurant to visit if you have any allergies. Each course seemed to be more focused on the presentation rather than the quality or size of the portion. When advised of a nut allergy, the staff simply served a sub basic item that in no way reflected the level of culinary experience we were guaranteed. It was a very embarrassing experience as we were with friends who also read many favorable reviews and expected so much more.
The service and ambience is very good. In my opinion the food just wasn't that flavorful. For the amount of money you pay for the 7 course tasting meal this should be one of the best meals you have ever had and this was just average at best. I feel like the chef over complicated the dishes and needs to focus more on flavor.
Disappointing, it was my wife's birthday and we expected a high quality experience and ordered the 7 course dinner with wine pairing . In the middle of the dinner the hotel fire alarm went off we sat through two courses with the alarm going at full blast. Although the manager came over and explained that it would be 15 to 20 minutes before the fire department would turn it off no other courtesy was given, that was it no other explanation no sorry for the inconvenience , let me buy you a drink? Take something off the bill? I know it wasn't their fault but it was their problem. Latour should have come up with something For a restaurant that was supposed to be high end they Really Missed the mark. I doubt We will go back
One of the best experiences we have ever had.
We really loved the care and effort put in to bring each and every course into a perfect presentation along with extraordinary tastes. It was a truly wonderful experience and the wine pairing and the hosts presentations and descriptions were perfect and informative and helped us to visualize the tastes we would soon encounter for each and every course.
