Food was delicious!
Excellent restaurant and I would definitely go back. Menu was diverse with interesting twists and the service was very attentive. The décor is cozy and has good sound buffers so not too loud.
We were staying at a Hilton in Woodcliff Lakes. We found this restaurant on open table and had a wonderful, relaxing meal. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Our appetizers and entrees were well prepared. The prices (compared to Philadelphia restaurants were modest). We would return:)
Restaurant L always delivers a solid dining experience with a nice atmosphere. We always enjoy our meals when we are there. I recommend the eggplant napoleon and tuna tartare appetizers. The pecan chicken, tequila lime shrimp, short ribs, and specials are always fantastic entrees.
It was a valentine day date with my fiancé . The restaurant is cozy and nice. We sat down at a nice table against the wall. Our server was very nice . She was responsive and knew the menu and specials and what she needed to know . She was fast but not rushed . She also did no interrupt Us when she did not have to. She let us be and enjoy our time and meal together and she even apologized when she did have to come clear plates or check in. The menu was small , could have more options but very unique and good choices from what was there . The hanger steak was cooked well and was very enjoyable . My fiancé got the tilapia which she really like as did I. And we shared the spicy fried shrimp which was also very good . . We also then went to the bar after dinner and got a drink. My fiancé loved the cosmo she ordered . Very nice bartenders and the bar is a great little spot to hang before or after dinner . Not loud or crowded either . Overall it was nice cute cozy spot with good food and service . Could have more Options on menu , but beside that , very good and enjoyable all around .
The food was fantastic,
Everyone enjoyed their dish and we will definitely come back.
Our dinner at Restaurant L was very good. We had wanted to try the restaurant for a while and were very happy we did. We will most definitely be back
There are two parts to the restaurant. I prefer the bar area but the main restaurant also vibrant, I just feel it's too tight. Great choice of apps and main course. A drinks menu that is enjoyable and wine list that won't break the bank. We had the lobster. kale pizza for an app and it was delicious.
We had a great meal. Our appetizers included crispy calamari and spicy panko shrimp. For our main entrees, we had the swordfish, duck special, pork shank, and steak which was slightly spicy with hot peppers. For dessert, we split tartufos. The service was gracious and we were seated in a nice little corner perfect for conversation. Definitely a great local comfortable restaurant for a friends night out.
Wonderful family dinner for a birthday celebration. Everything was delicious from the warm rolls to the chocolate cake dessert. Lots of options for all ages. Prices are definitely a bit high for a neighborhood restaurant but always delivers on quality and taste.
Pleasantly surprised! Our waitress was a gem (Ann i think her name was) she was attentive and helpful with menu choices. The shrimp appitizer was over the top. The burgers were great and the other menu options looked delicious on other tables. We really enjoyed our meal and the vibe here. Looking foward to our next visit
We always enjoy this dining spot! Great service...leisurely dining...wonderful food...never disappoints!
We were the first table for lunch. The food came really slow.
We always enjoy ourselves that restaurant L. The service is always curb the drinks great. The food is very good but we had a stuffed fish that was not good at all this time. This is the first time this happened and in fairness it was Christmas eve.
Never been disappointed, food, service exceptional.
Food was very Good, we forgot about this place over the past several years and Very Glad we went back. VERY GOOD
Excellent service and food. The appetizer special coconut shrimp was very flavorful. Lamb chops cooked perfectly and pecan crusted chicken moist with a nice berry sauce. Warm chocolate cake with caramel ice cream was yummy. The asortment of donuts at the next table looked great too.
Restaurant L never disappoints. The lobster and shrimp quesadilla was wonderful. My short ribs were very good - however the gnocchi was disappointing. My husband is never disappointed with the salmon and I was happy to dig into his mashed parsnips. If still on the wine list the St. Michelle Cab was excellent and only $50.
We absolutely loved this restaurant! They were extremely friendly and attentive, and the food was fabulous! What a great local find! We can't wait to go back!
Great variety. The food is always fresh and delicious. We’ve never had a bad meal.
It was so loud and crowded. Four people were so close to me and drunk and loud. I️ kept
Looking at them to
Please keep their voices down and completely ignored me. We couldn’t wait to leave. I️ finally said they are rude and extremely loud and they laughed. The manager should control the patrons noise level. Also my clams pirtofino was watery and bland.
My husband and I aren’t sure how we missed this local gem since we’re always looking for someplace new. Well, after our very first visit to Restaurant L - it has move right up to the very top of our most favorites list. From the location, ambience, overall service to the spectacular meal. My husband started off with the beet salad that looked so fresh I had to give it a try and it was excellent! For our entrees my husband had the salmon which he says is the best he’s ever had. His only complaint was the portion size. Our waitress Michelle recommended the short ribs dinner (the owner’s mom’s recipe) and I have to say it was amazing! Good news... you can bring your own wine. However there’s a $15 corking fee. Overall.. I highly recommend Restaurant L and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Enjoy! 🍷
We have been to Restaurant L at least 4 times and we have never been disappointed.
Nice, quiet, warm, enjoyable dinner location. Nothing screamed out a specific personality but after eating here I want to return. I simply enjoyed a very tasty dinner in a cordial setting with good service. They allowed us to fade and loll well after all other diners left. I lovely evening over all.
This was our first time to the restaurant. The fish was absolutely delicious. Staff was very accommodating. I would definitely return.
The food that we all had was very good. I felt like having a hamburger tonight and it was wonderful crispy outside rare inside, perfect so was the chicken not dry and the fish was wonderful.
Very pleasant atmosphere.
Very attentive staff.
Every dish was delicious.
Good home cooking feel.
Restaurant L is a favorite of mine in Bergen County. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The staff is very friendly and right there. But the food is what keeps me going back. Everything is as if it were home cooked just for you. Very hot, very fresh, very delicious. I always feel like Im a guest at someones home when I eat there.
Had a fabulous meal with terrific service. A definite go back to!
The bar area was small but an engaging bartender made up for it with great service and personality.
The dining room was even smaller.
The staff were all very nice but our waitress was way over perfumed.
The food was average.
No need for valet as the lot is huge for that sized restaurant but the older crowd probably appreciates.
We were expecting more.
The food was awesome, service outstanding, drinks amazing you can't go wrong here wether you sit at bar or get a table
The seafood is always fresh. We've never been disappointed with our meal. A neighborhood gem.
We love L. Annette is so welcoming, always. Service, food and ambiance never disappoint.
I'm never disappointed. The short rib ravioli is to die for as well as the lobster ravioli. Also a great place to have drinks and relax.
Our cocktail was the "L" tini. I wouldn't order it again. Almost had a medicinal aftertaste. We started out with the eggplant appetizer and beet salad. Both were very good. For our dinners we had the Tequila-lime shrimp and Beef short ribs. The shrimp was totally tasteless and badly overcooked. The beef short ribs were excellent. Tender and juicy. A real winner. A lot of hits and misses. Hard to know how to rate this place.
We went to celebrate my son and daughter-in-law's anniversary. The reservation was for 6pm so the restaurant was empty. There was only one older couple dining. Both the kids enjoyed their meals. My husband and I had a totally different experience. He asked for his cheeseburger very very rare but it was medium well when he received it. I ordered eggplant napoleon which was described as crispy slices of eggplant layered with mozzarella and rigotta. The eggplant was cut very thick and had the skin still on it. It was a big pile of mush on my plate. The waitress did offer to get me something else, but I had completely lost my appetite by then. She really should have taken it off the check as I only had 2 bites but she did not. Dessert was fair.
The following day I had lunch there with a large group of people. The reservation had been made a week ago and it was too late to change it. Lunch was a much better experience.
The food was very good and there was great service, my husband and I thought it was a great value.
Terrible service and the food was over cooked. The worst I have been to this year
Great local spot for great food and drink. Comfortable dining experience.
