The ambiance is one of the best, if not the best in town. It reminds me of the caliber of restraint that you'd see in larger cities like Atlanta, Chicago, New York, San Fransisco, New Orleans, etc. Cotton also has ample room up stairs for larger parties and privacy. The food is always good, yet they tend to run out of some of the favorite times. Service during my last couple of visits is spotty. Bottom line: This could be the best restaurant in town if the issues mentioned above are addressed.

This was our third time dining at Restaurant Cotton - for my daughter's graduation from ULM. Definitely not the best experience. The first two visits were absolutely incredible; from the cocktails (the blueberry fence hopper), the wait staff and the food was excellent!. This night, we were a party of 11. The waiter was very polite, yet could not get our order correct. The food was wrong as was the drink order. We ordered a kids chicken dinner, and he brought out a hamburger (said they were out of chicken). Should have notified us prior to bringing out the burger, as the child was under 2 and the burger was not a good option, so was not eaten. The drink order was completely wrong, brought out three wrong drinks - we politely accepted them and made the best of it. One venison schnitzel had one small piece of venison, while the other three orders had two nice pieces. There was only one option for desert - out of everything. I guess I was so disappointed because our previous two visits ware perfect. Will certainly return, hopefully this was just an off night! PS. Chef Bahr was no where to be found that night.

Very disappointed with service. Made 9:30 reservation for after graduation. They called to confirm at 5:30. Told me if we were running late let them know because they close at 10. Some of our party got there at 9. They started asking where the rest of the party was because they closed at 9:30. We all got there before 9:30. There was no one else there and they rushed us the entire time. Could have gotten better treatment at burger joint. Very disappointing service. Food was solid. Nothing special. Thursday night and no one there after 9 with neighboring places packed. Might want to try and figure out why that is.

Went for the wonderful brunch on Mother's Day. Disappointed that the menu changed for the day. Will go again but will check the menu first.

No greeting at door. Waited till someone came from office to the right, to seat us. People at bar seam to be having good time. 1 other Tabel had guest. After being seated Did hot get biscuits and butter. Till after 3or4othee guest were seated and got thers. Grouper a little over cooked but good. My wife's vinison. Was way over and tuff and dry. BUMMER. It was her birthday. I am a local barber of 35years and had high expectations.-- LETDOWN. But on a good note. Your biscuits were great. And the duck frys were also.

We were staying at Hamilton House and Tonya suggested Cotton. It was awesome. Gnocchi and grilled snapper were outstanding.

The food was delicious as always. We had a variety of appetizers and entrees. Favorites were the oysters - both grilled and raw - and the fish entrees. I had the fried drum with crawfish etouffee, which was outstanding. The dessert chef has returned! Scrumptious peanut butter pie!

Wanted our daughter and her husband from out of town to eat the best food around. They loved the entire experience. Said next time in town, that is the only place they want to go back to.

The food was good, particularly the black-eyed pea soup with collards. I thought the fish special was a little bland - it could have used more seasoning to jazz it up. I loved, loved, loved the french 75 cocktail - it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had - I would return just for that. We were a little disappointed in the service. Our waiter seemed to be pretty inexperienced, although he did try hard.
