Service and food were very good as usual. We will miss The Hotel Tides in its current iteration but hope they come back better than ever.

Dining room was basically empty when we ate here. Food was middling, server was a bit odd and didn't make us feel particularly at ease. It's an ok meal, but this place is rated highly in the area, and certainly doesn't deliver. The veranda's a nice place to have a drink, though.

Hotel Tides Scores always out of 5 Nicole: 4.7 Carl: 4.8 Great Dinner spot in Asbury Park! The food was amazing! We had the angry mussels and shrimp as an appetizer, I must say it was some of the best mussels we have ever had!!! Between the broth it was in, the chorizo and the hot peppers, the blend of tastes were incredible! For dinner Carl had the Short Rib and Nicole had the swordfish (which was one of the specials for the night). The were both terrific choices. Short rib isn't one of Carl's go to meals but the waiter talked him into it and he's glad he did. It was delicious. Nicole's swordfish didn't disappoint either. Which came with tomato salsa and spinach risotto. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was a funky, eclectic feel. Our server was nice and quick to come around and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Price was the only thing holding our rating down a few points. Not incredibly over the top, but just a bit high! We will definitely be back! Very nice experience. Charmingly quiet reserve atmosphere with outstanding service. I've been there many times and they are always consistent. I would recommend it as the best restaurants in town.
