Overpriced and under quality. The venison was superb but the steak was tough. I have been to this restaurant many times before but this visit underwhelmed me . I thought that the prices were much higher than the quality provided.
Limited menu, ambiance far behind other wineries .
the restaurant is in a beautiful setting and the lunch was very tasteful and professionally served.
Amazing atmosphere and beautiful setting. A real gem.
service and food was excellent, would recommend a visit
Very good food with excellent customer service. Nice place with nice view of the lake
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Peninsula Ridge! It was a delicious meal with fabulous wine. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. It was the third time I’ve dined at the restaurant and Friday’s lunch was just as fabulous as the first two!
The meal was special for a few other reasons … It was the first time I’ve dined out with my best friend since Christmas 2019! It was the 2nd time I’ve dined inside since the beginning of the pandemic.
And the first time I’ve dined inside since vaccine passports came into effect. I appreciated the call a couple days ahead, confirming our reservation as well as the required protocols … provided an opportunity to ask questions and ensured no surprises. The process was very smooth and quick. And the greeter was patient as we were a bit slow finding and sharing our certificates.
Overall the meal, wine and experience were excellent. I’d highly recommend Peninsula Ridge.
I ordered the Rib eye steak for lunch at 47 $ for a 4oz portion. Being in the same industry i believe that the portion was too small for the price. Other wise the mushroom and the rest of the meal was good. The chicken schnitzel was dry.
Beautiful setting in wine country. The lunch we had was very good and the wine was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We ate on the patio. Very pleasant once you adjust to “bird bangs” in the Vineyard. Charcuterie was ideal for sharing with a glass of wine.
A wonderful birthday celebration made all the better with amazing service and food in addition to a great wine selection and enchanting ambiance. All for a very reasonable price. We will definitely come again and can't recommend more highly.
We had a great experience. The food and the service were both tremendous. I’d highly recommend To friends. The only downside was the chairs. They were really uncomfortable-need to be replaced.
Enjoyed our lunch at Peninsula Ridge. It was wonderful eating on the terrace surrounded by the beautiful scenery and the pasta dish I selected was delicious. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend it as a great spot to go!
Our server Matt was great. Meritage wine was delicious and the food was exquisite.
We all enjoyed our lunch very much. In fact, we've booked again for next week.
The salmon is very much recommended.
The restaurant itself and the location are lovely and we have dined there several times and thoroughly enjoyed not only our meals but the whole experience. Unfortunately yesterday was a disappointment. Not sure what happened but the meals ordered at our table were not what we had previously experienced at Peninsula Ridge and could be described as barely mediocre at best in both taste and presentation. Unfortunately we had brought guests therefore their introduction to this dining experience was not positive. Hopefully things sort out in the future and the kitchen returns to upholding its previously excellent standards of creating flavourful and interesting meals.
Will definitely go back
They change the code menu regularly
This is our go-to for a special evening out, with friends or as a couple. The service is warm, attentive and friendly. The food is always a delicious experience. Our meal there last night topped our favourites list with Yuca gnocci, a pistachio crusted pork-chop and an amazing dessert; baklava cheesecake for two. You can taste the creativity, passion and quality that goes into the food.
Nice evening out, dinner was good. Service was great.
From the time you are greeted by the Hostess, it was such a pleasant experience.
The setting is absolutely gorgeous. Food is certainly 5 star. The Staff are very
friendly, happy and very accommodating. Such a wonderful happy experience.
The PEI mussels - under seasoned
The Risotto - under seasoned + and had almost no flavour
The Shrimp Roll - the bun was not toasted and/or buttered.
The Trout was above par, and quite delicious
Desert was average!
Celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary on the patio, merry feet from where we said I do was wonderful! The food was delicious as always and the service was top notch. The vaccine information was easily collected by the host and all the staff were fully masked indoors and out. 10/10!
Amazing views, relaxing, food stellar and service exemplary. Will definitely come back!
This spot on the bench is amazing. The views, the staff, the food. All of it! We started with a tasting before our lunch reservation. The knowledgeable staff were wonderful, providing all the information on the different wines we had selected to try. Then when we entered the restaurant, which is in a large, old turn of the century home, we were treated like royalty. Our server, Matthew, was attentive and knowledgeable as well as very friendly. We enjoyed the soup of the day, which was a potato and leek with bacon. We also had the Gnocchi and the charcuterie board. We paired an un-oaked white Chardonnay with lunch. All was incredible. Thanks for the lovely time.
Great service, lovely table location.....turret, food delicious. Wines on the higher end of pricing. Had a great time as always!
The food was outstanding. I found the portions on the small side though. I think for the money, they could have been more generous.
There were three of us with a long experience with good dining. We all raved about the food.
I like the ambience much surrounded with the vineyards food is good price is very reasonable. Beautiful gardens
A staff person in wine store had no knowledge about the grapes grown i.e. what type, what was harvested. Luckily we were directed to second staff person who was knowledgeable. No one on kitchen staff knew the vendor of the local cheese monger. The plating of the meals was unattractive, no garnish- simply dumped on the plate. We had 3 to 4 previous excellent visits prior to the pandemic. Something has changed. On the positive side our waitress was very good. We are not in a rush to to return anytime soon.
Food was pretty good but not outstanding. Service was slow. Wine by the glass far too expensive
This was a charming place to eat . Beautiful place so Rustic the views gorgeous from the patio . Mainly the food was delicious! The best roasted red pepper soup I have ever had ! The risotto a treat ! Beautiful tastes paired with a lovely Pinot Grigio from Peninsula Ridge Estates ! The waiter fantastic and knowledgeable! We would go back in a heart Beat !
We chose this lovely spot for the food, the wine and the view - my lunch companion had never been - and we were not disappointed. Despite being windy, we are able to dine on the beautiful patio, with views of the lake, with Toronto on the far shore, and lots of beautiful grape vines! Would definitely return!
I was unfortunately disappointed with both the lunch & coffee. The shrimp roll I had was okay on the flavour front, but for such a restaurant I do expect more than just okay. Some dill, lemon and dijon would have gone a long way to add to the flavour. Also the coffee was cold when it came to the table, so for the second cup I made sure to ask the server for a freshly brewed pot and it came steaming hot which was appreciated.
On the positive front, the staff were right on top of asking for vaccine proof & ID upon arrival and each table is divided by a clear screen.
My previous experiences in the food choices and flavour had been good which is why I took my close friend for her birthday, but not sure now going forward that I would go again.
My first culinary disappointment at this usually outstanding Restaurant. I will think twice about returning even though it has been my favourite 'Most Special Lunch' choice for years. Everything, an everyone, was a terrific as usual with one startling exception -- both of my lunch choices, the mussels and the trout, were drastically over-SALTED. This salt overload dominated the actual flavours of the potentially excellent dishes. I scooped out the mussels and enjoyed them whilst avoiding any more of the broth -- usually sooo delicious!
I hoped that it was an error only with the mussels, but the trout too arrived with salt as the top 'taste'. Textures of all components of my plate were superb, as was presentation -- such a shame. I beg the Chef de Cuisine to please salt only lightly, and request that the Restaurant perhaps provide the downscale little paper packets of table salt to guests who'd like to add more. (Those packets would not require any extra cleaning as shaker-dispensers would.)
Cannot bear to think the over-salting is that old pub strategy of increasing the thirst of diners! Better it be due to the chef's own palate, as s/he can dial-down the amount offered to his guests.
It was a fabulous lunch ..we would have liked to sit on the patio but it was a windy day so preferable indoors..still a beautiful view of the lake ..the risotto was outstanding ,the wine also and so was the very attentive service
Old scratched silver with bent tips and fingerprints , very unpleasant.
Smell of old house inside , unpleasant.
Toilet ceiling is probably less than 6 ft ,
I'm 6ft and I hit my head so badly that I could see starts, thanks god no bleeding .
Eventually someone will break their head and sue them ...
The glass of wine is very small for what you pay , about ~2oz .
It's only nice to sit outside and sip cold wine in a summer for sure !
Incredible service and exceptional food/presentation. A+ dinner selection
Great atmosphere, professional staff and an outstanding meal
Great service. Outstanding meal.
While the food was very tasty, the food choices were limited
