One of my favorite local brunch spots!
Staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Extensive drinks list! Country club type feel to the restaurant.
When we went it was crowded, busy and loud; hard to hear each other. Waited about 25 min for our appetizer. Then another 45 min for our dinner. My husband got the pork chop...it was very flavorful and excellently cooked. I got the chicken “parm”...which the breading on the chicken was burnt and overcooked. And pasta was dry and too chewy to eat. Wasn’t worth sending back because of such a long wait for food and I was very hungry by that point and needed to eat something.
Overall, the service and food was not worth the over $100 check.
No reason to ever go back.
A quiet gem in the hills -excellent food and service
Great food. Would recommend for special occasions.
My first visit to Restaurant 17 was amazing. The service was attentive and pleasant and focused on our total experience. The staff was familiar with all the menu and bar items and made great recommendations. The food was simply outstanding from both presentation to taste. While it was a busy time, we felt like we were receiving special attention the whole time. I can't wait to go back!
We had an amazing dinner, the staff was kind and the food was out of this world. Cannot wait to go back and try the regular menu.
Great food! A bit pricey, but very good.
Excellent food in a beautiful atmosphere.
We're thoroughly enjoyed it!!!! It was our 10th Year wedding anniversary....Loved It!!
Everything wonderful. Enjoyed our meal. Could not have been better. Will return soon
We thought the food was absolutely amazing, but the portions were very small when compared to other similarly priced restaurants in the Greater Greenville area. We ate some great cheesecake for desert, but left hungry.
Any number of trips here we have usually been disappointed. Much better overall experience this time. Ruck our waiter was very knowledgeable, although a bit loud. The food was far better than our previous experiences. Wine list is very good and overall the food was excellent. Pricing is higher than it should be and higher than advertised when they are charging $12 plus for a simple salad.
The food was incredible! Fun, flavorful cocktails and a knowledgeable staff. A new favorite in the Upstate.
Wonderful service from the moment we entered. Great food and the chef addressed on the fly my wife garlic allergy. Could not have had a nicer meal.
This restaurant's venue, staff and foodie experience was like finding a valuable "diamond". My family really enjoyed dinner, and we now have a wonderful memory from that evening experience. Hats off to a job well well done.
The service was excellent and the food very good for our restaurant week visit. Only concern was that they were very busy, not used to seeing so many people during the COVID restrictions.
When made reservations said we would have our 10 month old grandchild with us, so when we arrived, they had put us in a smallish private room. Had a view out to the patio and a large table. Was perfect! Staff was so friendly and very accommodating. Our food was terrific —did the restaurant week special of 3 for $50 and had enough choices to please everyone. Had good bottles of wine and excellent cocktails.
Excellent meal. One of the best we’ve had in Greenville!
I recommend the outdoor patio dining with heaters if it's not too cold. It was a beautiful evening when we dined. It was during Restaurant Week and I ordered off their three-course menu. Everything was delicious including the trout dip, braised short ribs and lemon cake. The service and ambience were also outstanding.
Enjoyed a special Restaurant Week dinner. Excellent meal with a great view.
One of our favorite restaurants. There are a lot of great restaurant options closer to us, but we prefer to make the drive to Restaurant 17!
Food was wonderfully prepared, the plating was spectacular with good use of positive and negative space to make the food pop.
Friendly service, amazing food, great views
Another great Restaurant Week showing from Restaurant 17. Our server Rick was knowledgeable and cordial, good portions, and precision in the kitchen. Flavor combinations were experimental, AND successful. Mountain Water was one of the best cocktails I’ve had. Will be back soon to try out a family table.
Amazing food and atmosphere! Definitely worth checking out and we’ll be back again
I have to say, we have not had a bad meal at Resturant 17. Well worth the drive if that is holding you back. The Restuarant Week menu is outstanding. You will not go wrong with any of the choices. I had the braised short rib and all I needed was a fork. the trout spread was so good...The Lemon olive oil cake was excellent.....
We read the recent article in the Greenville News about Hotel Dominique and Restaurant 17 and decided to try the restaurant for Sunday brunch.
The hotel and restaurant are located near the mountains north of Travelers Rest and provides a very beautiful and serene view. The design and decor are simple but beautifully rustic with stone and rough cut lumber.
Their wine by the glass selection included U.S., France, Austria, Argentina and more. The wines listed are not just the run of the mill choices offered by many which made the selection more interesting. We tried a Gruner Veltliner and a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Both were wonderful choices.
The brunch menu provided limited offerings but very interesting and unusual combination. We ordered the omelette and grits with poached eggs. Both dishes we well prepared and a good temperature when received. Favors were wonderful. We will certainly return to try their evening service.
We reserved a spot for New Year’s Eve. The appetizers were good, but all the main courses did have veggies unless there was a small amount puréed and spooned on. For the set price I also expected a glass of champagne at the end. The tables weren’t covered to table clothes so it gave a cafe look.
We will go back for lunch and try again, but I expected better for a restaurant inside a “chateau “.
Wonderful experience! So glad we found this place it’s great for any special occasion. Staff was fantastic our server was great. 10/10 will be back again!
Outstanding place. Maybe some efforts should be made on food preparation and variety
Fabulous service and food.
Absolutely incredible food and dessert. The best steak I have ever had. Highly recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience at Restaurant 17. Great food. Fine cocktails. Travis and Cale took good care of us and were kind folks. A great destination for delicious food and the hotel was spectacular as well.
Lovely spot with mountain views, creative menu, food and drink variety, good wine list and excellent service.
Excellent service and meal was delicious
Amazing! Food, wine and service were fabulous. Met some really nice people there too. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic and the staff was great for recommendations
Our server Rick was great. He was attentive and knowledgeable of what was on the menu. We appreciated that we could eat outdoors; given the pandemic we felt safest dining that way. We were able to celebrate our anniversary with a memorable meal.
We dine there about 5-6 times a year and every meal, main course and appetizers were superb. We're not into desserts but I would assume that are great also.
We chose to eat outside on a cool evening and it worked out well. We had one propane heater near our table but they could not get a second one to work, which would have improved the experience a bit.
