    Outstanding meal with my kids and an old friend. Carlos treated us fantastic and the gm comped us a seafood platter that was inhaled by hungry kids.

    Service was awful. It started with the server asking “Is that all you’re going to order.” Went downhill from there with the server forgetting multiple items throughout the evening. Restroom is not clean - grout around urinals were yellowed. Floors slick. Not what you’d expect for the water grill. Food on the other hand … amazing! Would go back but to another location, avoid the downtown one.

    Truly amazing night. Our server Kat she was outstanding. I went to the Santa Monica location a few years ago, and this is my first time in DTLA Watergrill. Good ambiance and great service. The food was excellent.

    The food was good. Introduction bread was good. Soft and the butter that came with it was okay. I ate the Shrimp Scampi paired with Mescalero. Drink 9.5/10 it tasted like heaven in a glass. The scampi was light. I probably would order something different next time 8/10. It was still good maybe better for a lunch entree for my liking. We ordered a Margarita Verde. Definitely have to have an acquired taste. I personally didn’t like it. They gave us a different drink instead. A waiter referred us to try the monkey bread with caramel ice cream. By the time it arrived the ice cream was melted. We had one bite and it wasn’t as good as he recommended. Maybe because they were closing try to get rid of it. The waiter also canceled it off our order. Would I go again, yes why not. Maybe I’ll try something different

    As usual the food was good but the mussels were way too spicy and when they attempted to adjust it, it was still too spicy.
