   Food and breadth of menu are excellent. The daily special (Soft Shell Crabs with pasta) was delicious and plentifull (3 large crabs). The little extras (bruschetta, zucchini, parmesan cheese chunk) are generous and also delicious. Service was good. We seemed to have a different server for each course. Unfortunately we were seated next to a very loud table of 8 young people who were surely enjoying themselves. My real criticism was the charge of $7 for a very mediocre cup of tea (not even a pot). I don't object to the prices at high end restaurants ($72 for the crab dish) but the tea price and quality was outrageous. I did make my opinion known to the manager. He said they are reconsidering the price for tea!! My dinner partner had the red snapper and she said it was delicious. She also enjoyed the cannoli dessert ($18). I was too full to partake. I will go back but will be wary of ordering tea!!

   I’ve been going to Il Mulino downtown forever. I wanted to try the East side location. It’s in a great area. We went in, and there was no one in the restaurant. The food is still quite good, though I would say it could be a little bit better. The reason I gave it such a low rating though is because the hostess sat at the bar the entire time and talked on the phone on speakerphone and or watched loud videos on speaker and we could hear it the entire time. She even did it with another waiter. Also, the restaurant is just so outdated and it feels stale. I didn’t feel that there was any real leadership or ownership of what was going on in the restaurant, and everyone was just left there to do whatever it is they normally do even if it’s not great. They could do much better here, especially given the prices, and the fact that they are such a well-known establishment to real New Yorkers.

   Love the ambiance and attention to special need to avoid gluten. Chef is wonderfully flexible and creative.

   Ricardo was fabulous and the staff went overboard to help us with out selections. The food is amazing and a must-do when in nyc. I have been going here for years every time i am in town. Thanks Il Mulino for yet another exquisite evening.

   Fabulous staff and kitchen. The pasta special - linguine with lobster and vodka sauce was outstanding. Will recommend.

    It was absolutely fabulous, the food as always, amazing, and the staff very attentive, friendly, and very welcoming. We absolutely love this place. Always coming back!!!
