Deep within a major boulevard, tucked under the cosmopolitan venues of Brooklyn brownstones, dances in our thoughts a familiar character that we can all relate to. He is juggling his light-hearted smile with a goblet in one hand, pipe in the other; the promise of your good time sparkling in his eyes. He is our Satyr, and meant to remind all that enter our door, that the Woodland still exists, along with its fun, flavor, and song.

    Food was amazing. I had the braised pork shank. Delicious. Waitress was very good and menu was priced right. Flank steak was good. Have had better. Oxtail stew was very good. Noise level a little high for my taste but over all very nice time

    Sat at the bar for Happy Hour and the cocktails were very good and well priced for Happy Hour. We had dinner reservations and our meal was very nicely prepared and the salmon was excellent. There was a nice wine selection. The ribs as an appetizer were excellent. Would definitely go back!

    chicken and waffles, kale salad...DELICIOUS. Happy hour very, very nice from 5-7. Jamin (I think that is the way to spell his name) was an excellent attendant.

    Food and service was excellent but the noise level was off the hook even though the place wasn't crowded. In addition, the music was blasting way too loud. I can't imagine who thought it would be a good idea to crank up the volume in the dining room as though it was the club downstairs. you couldn't hear one another speak unless you screamed at the top of your lungs like the small group of adolescents seated near the front door. Also on one of the hottest days of summer the beer wasn't cold. That is unforgivable.

    great place for a fun night out w/friends. It was crowded & the music was great but a little too loud. Had the salmon burger w/onion rings. It was delicious with the spicy mustard. The jerk chicken wings were great as well. Ordered an apple martini. It was ok but sour. I highly recommend Woodland for the ambiance

    Service was abysmal. We had a concert to go to at the Barclay Center and while not late, we got there without a second to spare. Server told us kitchen was backed up because of large amount of diners. But they should have known by the reservations they had.

    Never have I experienced such a horrible dining experience. We ordered our food and after 1 hour and 40 minutes it never came. The waitress kept saying it would be soon. We only ordered burgers. We left as well as other customers who waited the same about of time as we did; they were told they ran out of chicken after waiting an hour and one-half. Not even a complimentary beverage or sorry for the inconvenience but quick to get out check for the beverage order!!!!

    What a shame - this place could be great being so close to Barclays. Kitchen over whelmed. We saw countless meals being sent back to the kitchen. We didn't even get our main course and had to ask for the check. We will not be returning.
