El 54 Mint es una pequeña joya ubicada en pleno centro de San Francisco, frente a la antigua Casa de la Moneda de los Estados Unidos.                                                               Bittersweet Experience Having just returned from a 3-week vacation in Italy, I was really looking forward to enjoying some authentic Italian cuisine--and the food here absolutely delivered. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. Unfortunately, the service fell far short. When we arrived, our server brought water and then completely disappeared. The restaurant wasn't busy, and we were the only table in our section, so it was confusing and frustrating to be left waiting. After 30 minutes, I went inside to ask if we could place an order. A different server eventually helped us, but he wasn't knowledgeable about the wine list and couldn't answer basic questions. He said he'd get someone to assist, which took another 15 minutes. Once our food and drinks finally arrived, they were excellent--but the long delays and lack of attention left us disappointed. It's unfortunate, because the kitchen clearly knows what they're doing. Sadly, the poor service cast a shadow over the entire evening, and I'm not sure we'll return.

                                                              The perfect place to have dinner before a show at the Golden Gate Theater. The staff was very accommodating and helped us get out on time. I am still thinking about the fresh pasta.

                                                              Our food was cold, was sent back and came back cold, again. We got the wrong bill, which was fixed. Although our waiter was nice, he never asked us how our food was. We were given the wrong wine, which they fixed. Overall, just ok, honestly wouldn’t recommend.
