Always an excellent dining experience, especially at the bar with Mario. Beautifully executed, delicious dishes from a creative, disciplined kitchen.

Everyone at the table agreed that their food was delicious, perhaps some of the best pasta and fish they have experienced recently. The restaurant is airy and beautiful. Perfect noise level if you want to talk.

There are three fine dining options on the campus of Lincoln Center, and of the three, the Lincoln is, in my opinion, the best value. The food and service are uniformly excellent and the prices are a bit lower than those of the other two. On our last visit, if we needed a reminder, the weather made clear to us that anyone attending a performance at Lincoln Center and planning to have a pre- or post-theater dinner is by far best of eating on the campus of the center. Had we made reservations at any of the nearby restaurants, some of which are also excellent, we would have been drenched. If you arrive at Lincoln Center by subway, there is a pedestrian tunnel from the 1 train station into the campus. Or if you arrive by car, you can park in the Lincoln Center garage. From there, you can access the Lincoln Ristorante's 65th Street entrance by walking a short distance under a roof overhang. So aside from the quality of the dining experience at the Lincoln Ristorante, I would highly recommend having dinner there for the convenience.

We have often eaten at Lincoln before an opera performance. The food is generally good despite being rather expensive, but it is Manhattan of course. The cocktails are also really great. On the less positive side, I had veal last night, which was extremely fatty and somewhat unappetizing. Also the food rotation menu selections are very limited. With only eight main dishes total four of which are pasta. The service is excellent with a highly trained staff. We will probably start looking for another pre-opera venue. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that our dining choices were restricted to a limited 3-course prix fixe menu. We were told that the reason the full menu was not available was that there had been an electrical issue in the kitchen. It would have been nice to have been informed prior to our arrival. The Fritto Misto di Mare appetizer was delicious. My companion was disappointed in his Veal Saltimbocca, which was very salty, as was my Spaghetti alla Chitarra. The kitchen was, however, very accommodating to provide an alternative sauce in consideration of an allergy I have. The dessert was a kind of chocolate bar, very rich, with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Neither of us finished it. Cocktails, wine and service were excellent as usual. Although this visit was a bit disappointing, Lincoln remains one of our favorite pre-opera restaurants.

We had a lovely dinner on Saturday 5/31. We really enjoyed the prix fixe and would love to see it happen again (although not for the same reason)

The food was excellent and service superb. The restaurant location was perfect if you’re going to the Met. The only downside was that the food was served to quick. We asked to space the serving as we were not going to a show. We will definitely go back
