   Very unfortunate choice. The food was interesting and promising, but we couldn’t understand the truly awful service. Other tables around us received the server’s attention and regular plate delivery. We sat at our table mostly ignored. Two plates never even arrived and then a dessert menu appeared. We passed and left to salvage the evening. So much for an anniversary dinner.

   This is literally my favorite restaurant in Portland. Every meal I've had there is a mix of interesting flavors that I never would have anticipated, and I never leave hungry. I'm someone who is almost immediately skeptical of the value of fancy dining, but for Park Kitchen, I'm a believer. That this wonderful restaurant is closing to the public is a real loss for the city.

   Park Kitchen is one of our go-to restaurants when our children are in town for a visit. The food is creative, and perfectly prepared using local seasonal ingredients. Our favorite is the Chef's Supper - a multi-course tasting menu with optional wine pairings that changes seasonally. One constant on the menu for years is the steak salad with blue cheese, parsley, sherried onions - amazing. The staff is friendly and engaging, and definitely know the food and drinks. They rotate everyone on the staff between the kitchen and the front of the house, so you're talking to the people who prepare the food. The cocktail list features many creative variations on old standards as well as a few out-of-the box creations.

   A consistent straightforward farm to table place. Creative flavors and ingredients. The owner has always had great bar managers with interesting offerings for cocktails. Great place to dine at the bar. Thanks to Scott, chef owner.

   We chose the chef's dinner paired with wines. The first two items were fried and paired reasonably well with the wines. Subsequent courses were mixtures of strongly flavored vegetables (including pickled items) which clashed with each other and were impossible to pair appropriately with the wine. While the rib eye rib presented well, the very modest amount of meat accompanying it did not make it an appealing entree; however, it paired well with the wine. The Irish cream after dinner drink was a pleasant finish.

   The chef’s dinner was spectacular! My adult son and I were celebrating his birthday and he couldn’t believe what a delicious experience it was. Have done the chefs dinner twice now and highly recommend it. Kudos to the chef and staff!

   The food (Chef's Supper) was nice and the accompanying wines were great as well but we expected a nice dining experience for multiple hours but the servant was firing all courses (and wines) at us at light speed(!). We couldn't even finish our plates or glasses or the next plate was already beside the one before that! So in the end we stayed in the restaurant for approx. 1 hr and 15 mins. Maybe it's a US thing that you just want to be done with it pretty quickly but over here in Europe you sit back, relax, let dishes sink in, sip a bit of wine, wait on the next dish, etc. Maybe it had to do that the restaurant was quite empty and the servants and kitchen had nothing on their hands but this was really a big let down for me.

    Delicious, fresh, interesting foodie food. Great service! Pretty decor, atmospheric. Would definitely recommend and go again.
