I don't know what happened to this place but my wife and got the worst service experience ever. We got in @ 9:15 and asked if they were serving still, and the hostess said yes. Sat us down, then nothing. Finally we had to ask the Hostess for help, then we finally got a waitress, who took our drink order, but never followed through. We even asked if we could get the table wiped down because it was so sticky, and nothing. You know, it wasn't even that busy. I frequented B44 for 2 years consistently (usually for their dollar Oyster special) before the remodel and never had a problem. We're not going back.

This used to be my favorite restaurant until Sunday night. The service was excellent, but what happened to the kitchen? Brussels sprouts were greasy with way too much olive oil and when I sent them back to cook them crispy, they returned in 5 minutes the same. Cauliflower curry was overcooked and mediocre. The short ribs were nice. I am so sad that the kitchen went from 5 star, to 2. Bring back the old chef please!

Casual restaurant. One room includes the bar area and open view of the kitchen. Modern decor. Excellent food and service. Flatbread was a great starter. Next we enjoyed the Brussels Sprouts salad. Entree Pork Chop was great, as was their Kickin' Fried Chicken. Good find in downtown Mill Valley.

We love the short ribs there, BUT they've changed how they're prepared from shredded meat with garlic mashed to a more French style with braised chunks with vegetables. Not as good as the former preparation and therefore a major disappointment for us.

The food is delicious, but not inexpensive. The restaurant can be noisy Saturday nights and prime time on Sunday, but if you ask for the back room, it is always quiet there.

My Friend chose Bungalow 44 to go for his birthday. We both had the Kickin Fried Chicken which was delicious! The chicken was crunchy and juicy, mash potatoes creamy and yummy! We also shared the butterscotch pudding and the Sticky Toffee cake, both were heavenly. The service was great! Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The main dining room was very lively but we were seated in the covered outside area and it was perfect!
