Hogans is a long time King City go-to for a lovely atmosphere and wonderful food. Ask for their best server as ours was not good and put a damper on an otherwise good lunch. A wonderful mushroom salad and soup of the day and perfectly grilled calamari were stand out. One of us ordered a burger and was not asked about prefered doneness. At a restaurant of this level, that should have been a given. The result was underwhelming. From a service standpoint, the entire experience was disappointing. From a lack of attentiveness to the type of water (flat please!) to forgetting to check on wine (we wanted more) and forgetting to bring an ordered coffee for dessert. We essentially felt we were a bother, rather than appreciated guests. Overall, we left in a hurry to get out.

Terrific place, but noisy by the street due to constant construction trucks - no fault of Hogan's Inn.

Food is good, service was great... just the wasps around us were very annoying, keep getting in our food and drinks. they must have a nest on the building or something, i could see a bunch circling around the roof-we were sitting outside upstairs.. it was quite annoying

Patrons should moderate their guests' noise levels for the classy restaurant Hogan is. Also, I would expect shrimps, gambas to be cleaned out rather than served in a shell inside pasta - difficult to eat. And the last comment about escargots - too fried in my opinion and garlic overpowers the snails' taste. Otherwise, great restaurant in King City !
