A fave Steveston spot on the water! Food tasted great - portion size was a little smaller than last visit but view & service made up for it !!!

The location is lovely and we were given the option to eat outside or inside. We ate inside and perhaps they didn't have the staff to serve indoors. We were served menus right away and water a bit later. It took awhile for the waitress to take our orders. When the food arrived we needed to ask for spoons and something to put the seafood shells in. The food arrived and looked great. Most of us loved our food. The salmon dish I had was phenomenal and cooked to perfection. My daughter loved her shrimp tacos . My husband tries Cioppino everytime its available on a menu. He said is was ok compares to others he has tried. The amount of seafood was good but there was little tomato base/soup and he felt it lacked flavour/spice. No one came by to check if we were ok with our food. There wasn't a lot of staff around to flag someone that we needed our waters topped up. After a bit of a wait someone did come by and take our plates but then we waited again a long time for any further follow up. Overall I feel the overall food experience was good but the service just seemed lacking. But when the waitresses came they were polite and friendly.

The oysters were excellent but the salmon was dry and overcooked. The burger was good but the chicken wings were just average

Booked a Mother’s Day dinner with my parents and special needs brother. We are so grateful that the staff accommodated my special seating request. The food was amazing: the clam boil, salmon and cod. Thank you so much.

We love going to the Blue Canoe, as we take our out of town guests. This time we had friends from The UK visiting, we were so excited to show them this beautiful part of Richmond BC. We took them for lunch to the Blue Canoe restaurant we ordered 3 orders out of five meals of the Halibut. The meal was notably awful it was overwhelming with saffron all we could taste was the saffron!! This was such a disappointment for us and our guests, and not once did the staff asked us how our meal was we paid over $400.00 for a very dissatisfying meal.

Blue Canoe always a pleasant neighbourhood gem. WE were seated inside at the back of the room - away from the beautiful view, hence the 4 instead of 5 star rating. Wonderfulfriendly good server - good food, and a lovely evening.

Megan was excellent. She was friendly, quick to get us started with drinks and check on us after food had arrived. The tenderloin I had was done to perfection and I received a birthday dessert for my birthday fall on with the chorus of happy birthday from the servers. It was a fun night. And great food.
